Abstract
Una estructura de hoja de vidrio perfeccionada para uso como ventanilla lateral o posterior para un vehículo de motor de un grueso entre 2,5 y 4,00 mm., hoja que se enfría repentinamente para producir en ella una tensión central media de entre un máximo de 62 MN/m2 para todos los gruesos del vidrio de dichos límites y un mínimo de 56,5 MN/m2 para un vidrio de un grueso de 2,5 mm, varando inversamente con el grueso hasta un mínimo de 44,0 MN/m2 para un vidrio de un grueso de 4,0 mm, caracterizado porque dicha hoja de vidrio tiene por lo menos una zona en forma de banda en la que la tensión central es de entre 2MN/m2 y 5MN/m2 mayor que la tensión central media de la hoja y porque en dicha zona las tensiones principales que actúan en el plano de la hoja de vidrio son desiguales, con una diferencia de tensión principal de entre 5MN/m2 y 25MN/m2
