Un método para preparar un producto alimenticio de carne de almeja adecuado para el consumo humano a partir de la carne de una especie de almeja que desarrolla un sabor, olor y color desagradables durante el enlatado, método que se caracteriza por hervir una suspensión de dicha carne en agua o jugos de almeja exprimidos antes del calentamiento en retorta de dicha carne de almeja.
