Abstract

Fire resistant partition which can be fixed in place and removed consists of a framework made from profiled light alloy or steel upright, and wall panels parallel to each other, detachably fixed to either side of the uprights by fixations outwardly invisible. Each upright is formed from two profiles sepd. horizontally in a direction transverse to the partition. The profiles form with plates a hollow, closed profile of approx rectangular section. The plates are made of heat insulating material and the hollow of the profile is filled with plaster having a particularly high content of chemically bounded water. The profiles are clad with sheets of (cellulose) fibre reinforced plaster. Used e.g. as the side or back panel for a cupboard or closet in a partition which divides a large room into two smaller ones or partitions off a corridor from a row of offices.
