Abstract

A fire-resistant heat-insulation filled panel for a partition 1 comprises, two outer metal sheets 14 spaced by metal panel ends 10 which have apertures 11 such that the total heat conducting path between the outer walls is less than 0.01 % of the area of the panel, and reinforcing fire resistant heat-insulating boards 12, for example of low density asbestos, secured across the panel ends to span the apertures. Apertured sheet metal spacing members may also run along the top and bottom panel edges. Adjacent panels, or panels and wall mounted supports 6, may be connected by clips 16 and 17 mounted. on cover-plates 15, the space between the cover plates being filled with insulation. The apertures may be perforations and panel may be made of two parts interconnected by bridging member of small cross section.
