577,810. Walls and partitions. HILLS PATENT GLAZING CO., Ltd., and HINCHLIFFE, E. D. Dec. 31, 1943, No. 21895. [Class 20 (iv)] A prefabricated partition or wall is made by securing large sheets or panels of light metal, wood, veneered plywood, fibreboard, plasterboard, asbestos &c. to a framework comprising an outer frame 7 with internal vertical and horizontal bracing members 2, 3. The vertical bracing members which are of a width less than that of the horizontal members may comprise lengths of channel section metal, with wood secured in the channels and the horizontal members which are of a width substantially the same as that of the frame may comprise strips of wood. The outer frame may be made from metal strip with wood or composition anchored thereto around the periphery. Door and window frames may be provided within the main frame.
