Abstract
Process for the production of a galvanic acid zinc bath, for the deposition of shiny zinc coatings, characterized in that (A) N-polyvinylpyrrolidone- (2) and a compound (B) of the general formula ** (see formula) ** in which R1 and R2 are the same or different and represent an aryl radical or a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic radical with one or more atoms of N and/or 0, these radicals being linked with the CO group optionally through a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon chain with preferably up to 4 carbon atoms, or a phenylcarbonylalkyl radical, or in which R1 has the indicated meaning and R2 means an aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon radical, preferably with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxycarbonylalkyl radical or a cyanalcohyl radical, in amounts of 0.5 to 100 grams/liter, preferably 2 to 10 grams/liter for component (A) and 0 0.1 to 0.5 grams/liter, preferably 0.05 to 0.3 grams/liter, for component (B), with an aqueous solution containing a zinc salt, conductive salts and optionally known shine and/or humectants, as well as boric acid.
