Abstract

A hook 23 is provided attached to levers 11, 15 pivotally mounted within the cylinder of a superpose-cylinder machine the levers being under the control of cams 17, 21 and followers 14, 19 such that the hook of the housing being projected receives a composite motion causing it to swing down and be withdrawn within the needle cylinder simultaneously engaging and drawing the yarn from an operative yarn guide within the needle circle and such that it is taken and knitted by the needles.
