Abstract

Un compuesto que puede obtenerse por condensación de al menos un poliol que tiene 3-4 grupos hidroxilo o un producto alcoxilado del mismo, preferiblemente glicerol o glicerol alcoxilado, que tiene la formula**Fórmula** donde Z>= -(CH2CH(CH3)O)m1(CH2CH2O) o(CH2CH(CH3)O)m2T, donde T es H, m1 y m2 son, de forma independiente, un número de 0-4, preferiblemente m1 y/o m2 son 0, y o es 0 o un número desde 1, preferiblemente desde 2, hasta 10, preferiblemente hasta 5; preferiblemente, la suma de todas las o es 0; Y>= -CH2OZ, -CH2CH3 u -OZ; X>= H o CH2OZ; y V>= Z o**Fórmula** al menos un ácido dicarboxílico o un derivado del mismo que tiene la fórmula (IIa) o (IIb)**Fórmula** donde D es -OH, -Cl, o -OR4, donde R4 es un grupo alquilo C1-C4; R3 es un enlace, un radical alquileno de fórmula -(CH2)z-, en la que z es un número entero de 1 a 10, preferiblemente de 2 a 4, y lo más preferiblemente 2, y en la que el radical alquileno puede estar sustituido por 1 o 2 grupos -OH; el grupo -CH>=CH-, un cicloalquileno, un cicloalquenileno o un grupo arileno; al menos una alcanolamina que tiene la fórmula (III)**Fórmula** en donde cada x es, de forma independiente, un número entre 1 y 5, y la suma de todas las x, de media, es un número entre 2 y 10, AO es un grupo alquilenoxi que tiene 2-4 átomos de carbono, R5 es un grupo alquilo C1-C4, preferiblemente un grupo metilo, o [AO]xH; y al menos un ácido graso que tiene la fórmula R(C>=O)OH (IV) donde R es un grupo hidrocarbilo que tiene de 7 a 23, preferiblemente de 11 a 21, átomos de carbono, opcionalmente sustituidos; seguido por reacción con un agente alquilante, de forma adecuada un haluro de alquilo C1-C4, preferiblemente cloruro de metilo o sulfato de dimetilo en donde el procedimiento incluye las siguientes etapas 1) reacción de una mezcla que consiste en al menos una alcanolamina, al menos un ácido graso monocarboxílico, al menos un ácido dicarboxílico y al menos un poliol que tiene 3-4 grupos hidroxilo, para formar un poliéster, y 2) cuaternización del poliéster resultante por el agente alquilante.
