Abstract
Una composición que comprende: (a) un fluido vertible no acuoso que comprende uno o más carbonatos de alquileno; (b) gotas dispersadas en dicho fluido vertible (a), en donde dichas gotas comprenden: (i) una fase continua no acuosa que es un sólido y (ii) partículas sólidas dispersadas en dicha fase continua (i); en donde (ii) la mediana del tamaño de dichas partículas sólidas, medido por la mayor dimensión, es de 100 micrómetros o menos; y en donde dichas partículas sólidas (ii) comprenden 1-metilciclopropeno (1-MCP) y alfa-ciclodextrina.

Ejemplos
En los Ejemplos que siguen, se usaron los siguientes materiales.
5 Complejo 1 = Polvo seco que contiene complejo de 1MCP y alfaciclodextrina, con 4,7 % de 1MCP en peso. El Complejo 1 fue molido con aire de modo que la mediana del tamaño, medida por la mayor dimensión, fue inferior a 50 micrómetros. HC01 = ISOPAR™ V hidrocarburo, hidrocarburos de petróleo C12 a C20, de ExxonMobil Chemical. PAVP = AGRIMER™ AL22 dispersante, polímero de vinilpirrolidona alquilada, ISP Corporation.
10 PVPVA = AGRIMER™ VA51 dispersante, copolímero de vinilpirrolidona y acetato de vinilo, ISP Corporation. BCP = TOXIMUL™ 8320 emulsionante, copolímero de bloques a base de butilo, Stepan Co. Sílice 1 = AEROSIL™ R972 sílice, sílice de humo, tratada con dimetildiclorosilano, tamaño de partícula 5 a 50 nanómetros, Evonik Industries. PC = JEFFSOL™ AG1550 disolvente, contiene carbonato de propileno, Huntsman Performance Products.
15 Cera = cera de parafina, punto de fusión: 5357 °C, Aldrich Chemical. Soja = DRITEX™ S aceite de soja hidrogenado, completamente hidrogenado, Stratus Foods. EVA = ELVAX™ 250 copolímero de etilenoacetato de vinilo, DuPont. HC02 = UNIPAR™ 260 hidrocarburos de petróleo, UniSource Energy, Inc.
20 “Base” (para fluido vertible (a))
Se mezclaron 2,50 g de Sílice 1 y 55,51 g de PC y se dispersaron con una mezcladora de alto corte a fin de formar una suspensión, que se calentó de 60 °C a 70 °C.
25 Ejemplo Comparativo A
Formulación de gotas. Se mezclaron 13,44 g de HC01 y 0,65 g de PAVP y se calentaron de 60 °C a 70 °C, y a continuación se mezclaron con 21,50 g de Complejo 1. Estando aún a 60 °C a 70 °C, esta formulación de gotas se combinó con base (también de 60 a 70 °C) y se dispersó con una mezcladora de alto corte hasta que la viscosidad
30 tenía una apariencia muy espesa. Se agregaron 1,4 g de PVPVA, y la mezcla se agitó a mano. A continuación, se agregaron 5,00 g de BCP, y la mezcla se agitó a mano. Se prepararon composiciones usando el método del Ejemplo Comparativo A, excepto que se reemplazaron los 13,44 g de HC01 con 13,44 g de un ingrediente diferente, de la siguiente manera.
40 El Ejemplo 1 utilizó cera (sólida a 25 °C). El Ejemplo 2 utilizó soja (sólida a 25 °C). El Ejemplo 3 utilizó una solución de EVA en HC02 (EVA 10 % en peso referido al peso de la solución) (gel a 25 °C).
45 Observaciones:
Cada ejemplo se diluyó en carbonato de propileno, y se observó el resultado con un microscopio óptico con un aumento de 400 X. Además, cada ejemplo se diluyó en agua, y se observó el resultado con un microscopio óptico con un aumento de 400 X. En cada caso, se observó que las partículas del Complejo 1 se dispersaban dentro de las
50 gotas y se observó que las gotas se dispersaban a través de todo el campo de visión.
Se observó que las partículas del Complejo 1 se dispersaban dentro de las gotas, cuya composición era aquella de la Formulación de Gotas, en cada ejemplo.
55 Las observaciones de las formulaciones diluidas mostraron que cada uno de los Ejemplos 1, 3 y 4 tenía partículas de Complejo 1 que actuaron como las partículas sólidas (ii). Estas partículas se dispersaron dentro de las gotas preparadas de las diversas Formulaciones de Gotas, que actuaron como las gotas (b). Las gotas se dispersaron dentro del carbonato de propileno, que actuó como el fluido vertible (a).
