Abstract
Una composición de moldeo termoplástica que comprende A) de 70 a 99 partes en peso de policarbonato aromático y/o poliéster carbonato aromático, B) de 1 a 30 partes en peso de poli(tereftalato de alquileno), en la que el peso de A) y B) suman 100 partes de resina, y C) de 5 a 12 partes por cien partes de resina (phr) de polímero o copolímero de injerto que tiene una morfología núcleo-corteza, que incluye una corteza injertada que contiene acrilato o metacrilato de alquilo polimerizado y un núcleo de un caucho compuesto que contiene componentes de poliorganosiloxano y poli(metacrilato o acrilato de alquilo) interpenetrados e inseparables, en el que dicho núcleo está en forma de partículas que tienen un tamaño medio de partícula de 0,05 a 5 micrómetros y una temperatura de transición vítrea por debajo de 0 °C, y en el que la relación en peso de polisiloxano/metacrilato o acrilato de alquilo/ corteza rígida es 70-90/5-15/5-15. D) de 2 a 20 phr de un compuesto que contiene fósforo, y E) de 0,1 a 2 phr de poliolefina fluorada.

Todas las composiciones ejemplo contenían 0,25 phr de poliolefina fluorada (PTFE) introducida en forma de un lote maestro que contenía un 50 % p/p de copolímero estireno-acrilonitrilo y un 50 % p/p de PTFE.
La resistencia al impacto con muesca (NI) a la temperatura indicada se determinó de acuerdo con ASTM D256 5 usando probetas de 1/8" (3,175 mm) de espesor. El modo de fallo (modo) se determinó por observación, P significa rotura parcial, C significa rotura completa.
El índice de inflamabilidad se determinó de acuerdo con UL-94 V en probetas que tenían el espesor indicado
Los índices de fluidez del fundido (MFR) de las composiciones se determinaron de acuerdo con ASTM D-1238 a 265 °C, 5 Kg de carga. La temperatura Vicat (Vicat) se determinó de acuerdo con ASTM D 1525 con una carga de 50 10 Newton y una velocidad de calentamiento de 120 °C/hora.

Los ejemplos 1 (comparativo) y 2 (inventivo) permiten una comparación directa de la composición de la invención con composiciones estrechamente relacionadas. La diferencia entre estas composiciones es la estructura del 15 elastómero incluido. Los resultados muestran mayor ductilidad y la ventajosa resistencia al impacto a baja temperatura de la composición de la invención. Los resultados también muestran que la inclusión de un compuesto P y la poliolefina fluorada imparte una mejor resistencia a la llama (UL-94 a 1,6 mm) a la composición de la invención (V-1). El ejemplo 3 muestra que con una carga menor del modificador de caucho, la composición de la invención mantiene su buena resistencia al impacto Izod con muesca a temperatura ambiente y a -20 °C con un mejor índice 20 UL-94 (V-1).
