Abstract

Instrumento electroquirúrgico bipolar (10) para su uso en cirugía abierta, que comprende: un primer y un segundo eje (12a, 12b), que tiene cada uno un miembro de quijada (110, 120) que se extiende desde su extremo distal (14a, 14b) y un asa (17a, 17b) dispuesta en su extremo proximal (16a, 16b) para realizar el movimiento de pivotamiento de los miembros de quijada uno respecto a otro en torno a un eje de pivotamiento desde una primera posición en la que los miembros de quijada están dispuestos separado uno del otro a una segunda posición en la que los miembros de quijada cooperan para agarrar el tejido entre ellos; una fuente de energía eléctrica que tiene un primer y un segundo potencial eléctrico, estando el primer potencial eléctrico conectado a uno de los miembros de quijada (120) y el segundo potencial eléctrico conectado al otro miembro de quijada (110), de manera que los miembros de quijada pueden conducir selectivamente la energía a través del tejido sujeto entre ellos para realizarun sello; en el que el primer y el segundo potencial eléctrico son transmitidos a los miembros de quijada a través del primer eje (12b), y caracterizado por: un conector distal (300) que rodea al eje de pivotamiento y aísla eléctricamente al primer miembro de quijada (110) del segundo miembro de quijada (120); un saliente (314) que se extiende desde el conector distal hacia uno de los miembros de quijada (120); un conductor (210a) que tiene un extremo terminal (212) que está acoplado eléctricamente al conector distal, estando localizado el extremo terminal del conductor (210a) entre el conector distal y uno de los miembros de quijada (120) y encerrando el saliente (314), conectando el conector (300) uno de dichos miembros de quijada (120) al primer potencial eléctrico.
