Description

Funda flexible universal con fuelle para junta articulada y herramientas para colocación de esta funda.
La presente invención tiene por objeto una funda flexible universal con fuelle para junta articulada.
Se refiere al sector industrial y comercial de la fabricación y difusión de equipos para talleres de reparación y de mantenimiento de automóviles. La funda está destinada a la protección de las juntas lubrificadas de tipo cardán, homocinéticas, trípodes, de bolas, con rótula o similares utilizadas para transmitir un movimiento a órganos móviles, El dispositivo puede ser adaptado a todos los tipos de fundas de protección y, en particular, a aquellas utilizadas para los órganos mecánicos de transmisión o las cremalleras de dirección.
Las fundas protectoras para juntas articuladas sirven, por una parte, para proteger las articulaciones contra los cuerpos extraños, los choques y otros elementos exteriores y, por otra parte, para contener de manera estanca la masa lubrificante que el mecanismo necesita para durar.
Están constituidas por un elemento tubular de caucho o elastómero flexible, usualmente moldeado de una sola pieza, formado por una parte central troncocónica con ondulaciones que permitan la flexión y la extensión axial del cuerpo, y por dos extremidades que compartan tanto la una como la otra zonas de fijaciones cilíndricas con un diámetro interior que permita empalmarlas a los elementos correspondientes de la junta articulada, y que incorporan, en general, unas gargantas que formen asientos destinados a recibir los dispositivos de apriete que garanticen la estanqueidad del conjunto.
La mayoría de las fundas son específicas para cada aplicación, en especial para equipar los vehículos nuevos. Para reducir el número de referencias en el mercado de repuestos, algunos modelos son "universales", es decir, que se pueden montar sobre una amplia gama de juntas articuladas de diámetros y longitudes diferentes. Esta "universalidad" se obtiene en particular por medio de zonas de fijaciones múltiples en escalones, como puede observarse por ejemplo en la patente Nº EP 0 339 387, que se refiere a un fuelle de protección para juntas articuladas de transmisión mecánica, que comporta en cada extremidad varias zonas de fijación de diámetros diferentes.
Las fundas son sometidas a deformaciones constantes, en su longitud e inclinación, siendo al mismo tiempo sometidas a rotaciones de velocidad muy variable. Bajo el efecto de la fuerza centrífuga y de las deformaciones de la pared de la funda, la materia lubrificante tiene tendencia a separarse de las partes de la junta cercanas del eje de rotación y de los mecanismos de articulación, lo que, en caso de fuga o de llenado deficiente puede comprometer seriamente el funcionamiento o la duración del dispositivo.
El dispositivo según la presente invención tiene por objeto remediar estos inconvenientes. Permite, en efecto, que se realicen fundas protectoras para juntas articuladas en los cuales las deformaciones de la pared externa provoquen que la grasa contenida en la funda se desplace en dirección del diámetro mayor de éste hacia la zona donde se encuentran los elementos mecánicos que necesitan ser engrasados (cojinetes, articulaciones, rodamientos, etc.).
La funda de protección está constituida por un elemento tubular con zonas de fijación en las extremidades y un fuelle central troncocónico, que comporta los pliegues de dicho fuelle con sus flancos inclinados formando un ángulo de 0 a 45º con el eje de la funda por el lado del diámetro mayor del manguito y de 60 a 80º por el lado del diámetro pequeño, de manera que las deformaciones del fuelle provoquen un retroceso de la grasa hacia la extremidad de gran diámetro mayor.
Se deducirá de los dibujos adjuntos, dados a título de ejemplo no limitativo unas formas de realización del objeto de la invención:
la Fig. 1 es una semisección axial de una funda de protección para junta de transmisión;
la Fig. 2 representa a diferente escala una funda del mismo tipo montada sobre una junta articulada;
la Fig. 3 representa una vista lateral de una funda de protección para cremallera de dirección;
la Fig. 4 es una vista ampliada del detalle D2 de la figura anterior,
la Fig. 5 es una vista ampliada del detalle D1 de la figura 2
y las figuras 6 y 7 representan, en las mismas condiciones, una variante de funda que se puede montar sobre las juntas de transmisión, respectivamente, con o sin garganta periférica para nervadura de enganche.
La funda, figuras 1 a 5, está constituida por un manguito tubular realizado en un material flexible resistente a los lubrificantes, tal como caucho o elastómero, y que comporta tres partes: un fuelle 1 central troncocónico deformable y extensible, y dos extremidades 2, 3 que permiten montar de forma estanca dicha funda sobre la junta articulada.
Las extremidades 2, 3 forman, respectivamente, unas zonas de fijación de pequeño y de gran diámetro y están compuestas, cada una, por uno o varios elementos sensiblemente cilíndricos 4, 5, 6, 7, y 8, 9, 10 de diámetros internos diferentes provistos de gargantas externas destinadas a recibir un collar de apriete que garantice la estanqueidad del conjunto. Estos elementos cilíndricos podrán estar unidos entre sí por unas ondulaciones deformables 11.
Las superficies exteriores de apoyo de los collares de apriete podrán ser lisas o, por el contrario, estar provistas de ranuras circulares 12 que transmitan compresiones diferenciadas que proporcionen una mejor estanqueidad.
Los pliegues del fuelle 1 comportan unos flancos inclinados según unos ángulos asimétricos en relación con el eje longitudinal de la funda: por una parte, en el lado del diámetro mayor, ángulos A1 comprendidos entre 0 y 45º y, por otra parte, en el lado del pequeño diámetro, ángulos comprendidos entre 60 y 80º en relación con el mismo eje longitudinal. Cuando el fuelle esté sometido a movimientos de rotación o de flexión, la grasa que, en los fuelles conocidos hasta la fecha, tiende a escaparse de la articulación 13 para dirigirse hacia el pequeño diámetro de la funda, se ve obligada a retroceder hacia dicha articulación. En efecto, los ángulos abiertos A2 (60 a 80º) tienden a formar una barrera móvil, mientras que los ángulos cerrados A1 (10 a 30º) favorecen el paso del lubrificante.
Los constructores de vehículos equipados con dirección asistida prevén unos respiraderos que compensen las diferencias de presión existentes entre los dos fundas de protección con fuelle montados en cada extremidad de la cremallera de dirección. Estos respiraderos están conectados entre sí por unos tubos de diámetros y de configuración variables según los modelos de vehículos. En todos los casos conocidos, estos tubos-respiraderos son empalmados a las fundas de protección o los atraviesan. Las fundas adaptables disponibles actualmente en el mercado no presentan ni orificios ni empalmes para estos tubos-respiraderos. La dificultad reside en la gran disparidad de los montajes elegidos por los constructores de vehículos así como en la complejidad del moldeado de una funda de protección realmente adaptable.
Las fundas de protección según la presente invención destinados a las cremalleras de dirección están equipadas con un empalme flexible 14 posicionado de manera que pueda empalmarse a la gran mayoría de los tubos-respiraderos de los vehículos que se encuentran actualmente en el mercado. La extremidad abierta de dicho empalme comporta varias secciones de diámetros diferentes que permiten que se realice el empalme por simple apriete de los diferentes tubos existentes en el mercado. La otra extremidad está cerrada para permitir el montaje de la funda sobre las cremalleras de dirección no asistida y, por lo tanto, desprovistas de respiraderos. Este cierre se obtiene con un opérculo 15 integrado en el fuelle en el momento del moldeado. Este opérculo puede ser fácilmente arrancado o perforado por el montador cuando se trate de una dirección asistida y, por lo tanto está provisto de un tubo-respiradero, de modo que haga comunicar a este último con el interior de la funda (figuras 3 y 4).
Para que sea económicamente viable, debe realizarse el conjunto de una pieza, por simple inyección o inyección-soplado en un utillaje convencional con abertura en dos planos. Esto resulta posible por el posicionamiento y la forma del empalme flexible 14 y, sobre todo por la posición del opérculo 15 integrado en la pared de la funda.
Las fundas de protección convencionales como se describen, por ejemplo, en la patente US-5 645 286 comportan en general sobre la superficie interna unos elementos cilíndricos 4 a 10 de fijación, unas nervaduras de enganche 16 circulares dispuestas generalmente en medio de cada superficie de apoyo. Estas nervaduras están destinadas a insertarse en unas gargantas periféricas 17 previstas en el "cuenco" 13 de las juntas articuladas de transmisión o sobre los cárters de las cremalleras de dirección. Estas gargantas están a muy menudo situadas cerca del borde del dispositivo en cuestión, de modo que la superficie de apoyo 18 del elemento cilíndrico se encuentre parcialmente en voladizo. Con el fin de evitar un riesgo de dislocación, las nervaduras de enganche 16 de las fundas de protección según la invención son desplazadas hacia el fuelle 1 de manera que los collares de apriete se apoyen en la zona plana y no puedan bascular (figura 5).
Algunos cuencos 13 de juntas articuladas o cárters de cremallera están desprovistos de garganta periférica 17.
Para permitir la adaptación de la junta de protección según la invención, todos los tipos de cuencos o cárters de cremalleras, tanto si comportan una garganta periférica 17 como si no la tienen, algunas zonas de fijación 4 - 10 comportarán ventajosamente una nervadura de enganche constituida por un pliegue anular 20 en "V" con la punta dirigida hacia el interior y cuya forma esté determinada de manera que permita que la nervadura se abra y se aplaste con ocasión de la fijación del collar de apriete 21 en el caso de elementos con superficie externa lisa (figura 7).
Los conos de montaje rígidos conocidos serán ventajosamente sustituidos por dispositivos de colocación de la funda que se adapten automáticamente al diámetro de cada cuenco 13 de junta de transmisión, o cárter de cremallera de dirección.
El posicionamiento de los diversos elementos constitutivos confiere al objeto de la invención un máximo de efectos útiles que, hasta la fecha, no se habían obtenido con dispositivos similares.

Claims (5)

1. Funda flexible con fuelle para junta articulada, destinada a la protección de las juntas articuladas lubrificadas de tipo cardán, homocinéticas, trípodes, de bolas, con rótula o similares utilizadas para transmitir un movimiento a los órganos móviles o a los órganos tales como cremalleras de dirección, en particular en el sector de los equipos de repuesto para automóviles, consistiendo dicha funda en un elemento tubular formado por zonas de fijación en las extremidades constituidas por elementos sensiblemente cilíndricos (4, 5, 6, 7 y 8, 9, 10) y un fuelle (1) central troncocónico cuyos pliegues comporten unos flancos inclinados según unos ángulos asimétricos en relación con el eje longitudinal de la funda: por una parte en el lado del diámetro mayor, ángulos cerrados (A1) comprendidos entre 0 y 45º y, por otra parte, en el lado del pequeño diámetro, ángulos abiertos (A2) comprendidos entre 60 y 80º en relación con el mismo eje longitudinal, de modo que, cuando el fuelle (1) esté sometido a movimientos de rotación o de flexión, la grasa contenida en el fuelle sea obligada a retroceder hacia la articulación (13) de la junta articulada que se encuentra en el lado de la extremidad de diámetro mayor.
caracterizada porque la superficie interna de los elementos cilíndricos (4 a 10) de fijación comportan unas nervaduras de enganche (16) circulares desplazadas hacia el fuelle (1) y no dispuestas en medio de dichas superficies internas.
2. Funda flexible según la reivindicación 1, caracterizada por el hecho de que las superficies exteriores de los elementos cilíndricos (4 a 10) de fijación destinadas a recibir los collares de apriete están provistas de ranuras circulares (12) determinadas para transmitir compresiones diferenciadas aptas para mejorar la estanqueidad.
3. Funda flexible según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, caracterizada por el hecho de que algunos elementos cilíndricos (4 a 10) comportan una nervadura de enganche constituida por un pliegue anular (20) en "V" con la punta dirigida hacia el interior y cuya forma esté determinada de manera que permita que se abra la nervadura y se aplaste en el caso de elementos de apoyo con superficie externa lisa.
4. Funda flexible según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, destinada a las cremalleras de dirección y que comporta un empalme flexible (14) que se adapta, gracias a una extremidad abierta provista de varias secciones de diámetros diferentes, sobre los tubos-respiraderos destinados a compensar las diferencias de presión existente entre las dos fundas de protección con fuelle montadas en cada extremidad de la cremallera de los vehículos equipados con dirección asistida,
caracterizada por el hecho de que la extremidad del empalme flexible (14) situado en el lado de la funda está cerrada por medio de un opérculo (15) integrado en la pared de la funda en el momento del moldeado y dispuesto para poder ser fácilmente arrancado o perforado por el montador cuando se trate de dirección asistida, de manera que se permita el montaje de la funda sobre las cremalleras de dirección asistida.
5. Funda flexible según una cualquiera de las reivindicaciones anteriores, caracterizado por el hecho de que los pliegues del fuelle (1) comportan unos flancos inclinados según ángulos (A1, A2) asimétricos en relación con el eje longitudinal de la funda, estando dichos ángulos determinados de modo que, cuando el fuelle (1) sea sometido a movimientos de rotación o de flexión, la grasa contenida en la funda sea obligada a retroceder hacia la articulación (13) de la junta articulada que se encuentra en el lado de la funda de diámetro mayor.
