Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar una composición cerámica, el cual comprende: (a) la formación de una suspensión acuosa cerámica que comprende del 45 al 85% de material mineral matriz, basado en el peso de la suspensión cerámica acuosa, y desde el 0, 05 al 10 por ciento en peso de aditivo polimérico, basado en el peso del material mineral matriz; (b) el desecado de la suspensión cerámica acuosa para formar un compuesto de material mineral matriz y aditivo polimérico por medio de un proceso seleccionado de entre uno o más de secado de aspersión, moldeo en barbotina y prensa filtradora; (c) compactación del compuesto de material mineral matriz y aditivo polimérico para formar un cuerpo verde, y (d) la sinterización del cuerpo verde; en el que el aditivo polimérico se selecciona de entre uno o más polímeros que comprendan, en calidad de unidades polimerizadas, desde 0, 1 a 20 por ciento, basado en el peso del polímero, de monómero que contenga ácido seleccionado de uno o más de ácido acrílico, ácido metacrílico y las sales de metal alcalino y de amonio de los mismos, y del 15 al 65 por ciento en peso, basado en el peso del polímero, de uno o más monómeros monoaromáticos de vinilo o vinilideno, y en el que la suspensión cerámica acuosa retiene una viscosidad de, al menos, 0, 15 hasta no menos de 1, 5 pascales-segundo a la temperatura ambiente, durante, al menos, 24 horas después de que el aditivo polimérico se ha añadido a la suspensión cerámica acuosa.
