Abstract

Un método para el mantenimiento de un sistema de ordenador sin interrumpir la operación del sistema de ordenador, que comprende las etapas de: conectar al menos un componente de ordenador (32) a una placa o cuadro del sistema de ordenador, teniendo el componente de ordenador una entrada de voltaje; detectar la conexión del componente de ordenador (32) a la placa utilizando un circuito de control (34) del sistema del ordenador; suministrar energía a la entrada de voltaje (Vent) del componente de ordenador (32) en respuesta a la mencionada etapa de detección; y controlar la energía suministrada a la entrada de voltaje (Vent) del componente de ordenador (32); caracterizado porque el método incluye: conectar al menos un componente (32) no periférico enchufado en caliente del sistema de ordenador en un conectador en una placa del sistema perteneciente al sistema del ordenador, habilitar un circuito (36) de inicio suave individual para activar suavemente el voltaje de energía dirigido a cada componente conectado a la placa del sistema y controlar individualmente la energía suministrada; y utilizar una serie o conjunto de puertas programable (38) que incluye la lógica de control (35) de inicio suave adaptada para recibir las señales de detección de presencia de los circuitos de inicio suave (36), que indica la presencia de componentes conectados a la placa del sistema, y responder a la presencia de señales de detección de presencia mediante el suministro de señales de encendido/apagado para habilitar los circuitos de inicio suave individuales, y la lógica de control (37) de fallos para responder a las señales de fallos desde los circuitos de inicio suave para suministrar señales de reposición a cero a los circuitos de inicio suave.
