Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de viscosa, cuyo procedimiento comprende las etapas de: (a) irradiar celulosa de calidad soluble con un haz de alta energía a una dosis de 1-30 kGy; (b) macerar la celulosa irradiada en hidróxido sódico acuoso; (c) prensar la celulosa irradiada macerada para formar celulosa alcalina; (d) xantatar la celulosa alcalina para formar xantato de celulosa; y (e) disolver el xantato de celulosa en un licor acuoso para formar viscosa; caracterizado porque el licor acuoso usado en la etapa (e) contiene, en solución, de 200 a 10.000 partes por millón en peso de una sal que consiste en cationes de metales alcalinos o cationes de amonio y aniones de un ácido fuerte.
