Abstract
Un método de hidroformación de una parte tubular en ángulo que tiene porciones con primero y segundo ejes dispuestos en un ángulo de al menos 30 , que comprende: disponer una pieza bruta tubular metálica en ángulo (70) dentro de una cavidad de troquel en ángulo generalmente correspondiente, teniendo dicha pieza bruta tubular (70) una superficie exterior, donde en una porción en ángulo de dicha pieza bruta tubular, dicha superficie exterior tiene una porción superficial cóncava y una porción superficial convexa sobre los lados generalmente opuestos de dicha pieza tubular; sellar los extremos opuestos de la pieza bruta tubular; proporcionar fluido de alta presión a un interior de dicha pieza bruta tubular; expandir dicha pieza bruta de acuerdo con las superficies que definen dicha cavidad del troquel como resultado de dicha provisión; aplicar fuerza al menos a un extremo de la pieza bruta tubular (70) para crear el flujo longitudinal de material metálico dentro de dicha pieza bruta tubular para mantener un espesor de pared de dicha pieza bruta dentro de un intervalo predeterminado, caracterizado porque: se aplica una cantidad mayor de fuerza a una porción de la pieza bruta tubular (70) que está alineada longitudinalmente con dicha porción superficial convexa(76) de la pieza brutal tubular en comparación con la cantidad de fuerza aplicada a una porción de la pieza bruta tubular que está alineada longitudinalmente con dicha porción superficial cóncava (75) de la pieza bruta tubular para crear una mayor cantidad de flujo del material metálico hacia las porciones de la pieza bruta tubular adyacentes a dicha porción superficial convexa (76) en comparación con las porciones de la pieza bruta tubular adyacentes a dicha porción superficial cóncava (75) para inhibir la formación de pliegues en las porciones de la pieza bruta tubular adyacentes a dicha porción superficial cóncava.
