Abstract
Un método y una disposicion de matriz para la hidroformacion de un componente tubular oblicuo, el método comprende el disponer un modelo tubularde metal oblicuo dentro de una cavidad matriz en general debidamente oblicua; el modelotubular tiene una superficie exterior, en la cual en una porcionoblicua del modelo tubular, la superficie exterior tiene una porcion de superficie concava y una porcion de superficie convexa en lados generalmenteopuestos del modelo tubular,que sell a los extremos opuestos del modelo tubular suministra un fluido de alta presion al interior del modelo tubular, expande elmodelo hasta adecuarlo a las superficies que definen la cavidad matriz como resultado de dicho suministro. Seaplica fuerza al menos a un extremo delmodelo tubular para crear un flujo longitudinal de material dentro del modelo tubular, para mantener un espesor de pared del modelo dentro de una escalapredeterminada, en la cual se aplica mayor cantidad defuerza a una por cion del modelo tubular alineada longitudinalmente con la porcion de la superficieconvexa del modelo tubular, en comparacion con la cantidad de fuerza aplicada para una porcion del modelo tubular alineada longitudinalmente con laporcionde superfic ie concava del modelo tubular, con el fin de crear una mayor cantidad de flujo del metal hacia las porciones del modelo tubular adyacentes ala porcion de superficie convexa, en comparacion con las porciones del modelotubular adyacentes a l a porcion de superficie concava, para inhibir laformacion de arrugas en las porciones del modelo tubular adyacentes a la porcion de superficie concava. Se divulga un aparato de matriz hidroformadorapara llevar a lapráctica el método, así como un componente tubular oblícuo realizado segun el método y el aparato.
