Abstract

Proceso para producir óxido de propileno. Un proceso para producir óxido de propileno por reacción de propileno con hidroperóxido de etilbenceno en presencia de un catalizador de óxido de silicio que contiene titanio que satisface todas las condiciones (1) a (4) que se exponen a continuación: (1) Tamaño de poro medio de 10 {angstron} o más, (2) Tamaño de poro de 90% o más del volumen de poro total de 5 a 200{angstron}. (3) Volumen de poro específico de 0,2 cm{sup,3}/g o más, y (4) Uso de un ion de amonio cuaternario representado por la siguiente fórmula general (I) como plantilla eliminándose después dicha plantilla a través de una operación de extracción con disolvente;[NR{sup,1}R{sup,2}R{sup,3}R{sup,4}]{sup,+} (I) donde, R{sup,1} representa una cadena de hidrocarburos lineal o ramificada que tiene de 2 a 36 átomos de carbono y R{sup,2} a R{sup,4} representan un grupo alquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono.
