Abstract

Procedimiento de tapado para latas que presentan una parte superior (11) formada por el extremo superior sustancialmente plano (12) de la lata (10), su cuello superior frustocónico (13) y el reborde circular (14) que une el extremo superior plano (12) al cuello (13), que comprende las etapas de disponer una parte de película (9) de material de plástico termoconformable sobre la parte superior (11) de la lata (10) en contacto con el borde superior de su reborde (14), para determinar una cámara cerrada en combinación con dicho borde superior del reborde (14); ablandar mediante calentamiento la parte de la película (9) limitada a la zona alineada con la parte superior de la lata (10); empujar mediante una placa formadora (42) la película (9) contra la parte superior de la lata de manera que la zona ablandada de la película (9) esté encima de la parte superior de la lata (10), y la zona sin ablandar se cierre rápidamente alrededor y por detrás del reborde superior (14) de la lata (10); caracterizado porque la película (9) se calienta a una temperatura adecuada de manera que la película (9) pueda satisfacer las condiciones requeridas para la termoconformación; se extraeel aire de dicha cámara; y mediante el endurecimiento siguiente al enfriamiento la película (9) se adhiere íntimamente a la superficie de la lata (10), la cual cubre y conserva su forma.
