Abstract

The filtration unit consists of a filter (4) with a pump (9) to draw water through it from an intake (13) situated above the filter, returning the filtered water to the pool through an outlet (11) after the filter. It is made in the form of a housing (1) with an upper chamber (2) to receive the water from the pool and a lower one (3) to receive the filtered water, with the filter and pump between the two. The intake (13) has a seal (14) to engage with an aperture in the wall of the pool, and the upper chamber is in the shape of a scoop. The pump is situated at the inlet end of the lower chamber and is linked to a motor (17) fed by a very low safety voltage.
