EN EL SISTEMA RADIO-DATOS SE TRANSMITEN DENTRO DE UNA SEÑAL DE RADIODIFUSION INFORMACIONES DIGITALES (CODIGO AF Y/O CODIGO PI) DE LAS QUE SE PUEDEN DEDUCIR DIRECTAMENTE LAS FRECUENCIAS DE TRANSMISION ALTERNATIVAS EN LAS QUE SE PUEDE RECIBIR IGUALMENTE LA SEÑAL DE PROGRAMA DE LA FRECUENCIA DE RECEPCION MOMENTANEA. LAS FRECUENCIAS DE TRANSMISION ALTERNATIVAS DE LA FRECUENCIA DE RECEPCION MOMENTANEA SE DETERMINAN POR EVALUACION DEL CODIGO AF Y/O DEL CODIGO PI. CON ELLO SE PUEDE SINTONIZAR LA SECCION DE RECEPCION DEL RECEPTOR BREVE Y SUCESIVAMENTE CON LAS FRECUENCIAS ALTERNATIVAS, AL MISMO TIEMPO, QUE SE DETERMINA LA CALIDAD DE RECEPCION DE CADA FRECUENCIA ALTERNATIVA Y LA DE LA FRECUENCIA DE RECEPCION MOMENTANEA. COMO FRECUENCIA DE RECEPCION OPTIMA SE ELIGE AQUELLA FRECUENCIA, QUE OFRECE MOMENTANEAMENTE LA MEJOR CALIDAD DE RECEPCION.
