EL PRODUCTO SE COMPONE DE POLVO DE CARBURO DE CALCIO TECNICO, EVENTUALMENTE AÑADIDO CON PRODUCTOS DESTINADOS A PROVOCAR UN DESPRENDIMIENTO GASEOSO EN EL BAÑO O A MODIFICAR LA COMPOSICION DE LA ESCORIA, REVESTIDO O AGLOMERADO MEDIANTE RESINAS EN PUNTO DE FUSION FRANCO Y SOLIDO A LA TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE. EL PROCESO COMPRENDE VARIAS ETAPAS: MEZCLA DE CARBURO Y DE LOS ADITIVOS CON LIGANTE, RESINA O EL PRODUCTO ORGANICO, AGLOMERACION POR PELLETIZACION, APELMAZAMIENTO, COMPRESION O EXTRUSION RETRITURACION Y TAMIZADO EVENTUALES PARA OBTENER LA GRANULOMETRIA DESEADA. EL PRODUCTO SE INTRODUCE EN LA FUNDICION LIQUIDA POR LA LANZA, POR GRAVEDAD O EN FORMA DE HILO FORRADO. PRESENTA LA VENTAJA DE UNA BUENA COLABILIDAD, DE UNA MAYOR EFICACIA Y DE UNA MENOR REACTIVIDAD RESPECTO DE LA HUMEDAD.
