LAS PROTEINAS PREFERIDAS SON PROLAMINAS, TALES COMO ZEINA, QUE SON HIDROFOBICAS, BIODEGRADABLES Y QUE SE PUEDEN MODIFICAR PROTEOLITICAMENTE O QUIMICAMENTE PARA DOTARLAS DE LAS PROPIEDADES DESEABLES, COMO UN INDICE DE DEGRADACION SELECCIONADO. LAS MICROESFERAS COMPUESTAS SE PUEDEN PREPARAR DE UNA MEZCLA DE PROTEINAS O DE UNA MEZCLA DE PROTEINAS CON UNO O MAS MATERIALES POLIMERICOS BIODEGRADABLES TALES COMO POLILACTIDOS.
