SE TRABAJA CON PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO QUE PRESENTAN UN ADITIVO FORMADOR DE CARBURO, CUYO CARBURO REDUCE A SILICIO AL OXIDO DE SILICIO, LIBERANDOSE OXIDO DE CARBONO. PREFERENTEMENTE SE TRABAJA CON SILICATO DE MAGNESIO COMO FORMADOR DE CARBURO. LA CANTIDAD DEL ADITIVO SE ELIGE DE FORMA QUE LA EXTRACCION DE SILICIO AUMENTA CONSIDERABLEMENTE EN COMPARACION CON EL TRABAJA CON PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO SIN ADITIVO.TAMBIEN SE INDICAN PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO PARA EL PROCEDIMIENTO.
