UN APARATO DE AJUSTE AUTOMATICO DE EXPOSICION PARA USO EN VIIDEO CAMARA AJUSTA AUTOMATICAMENTE LA EXPOSICION, BASADO EN UNA SEÑAL DE VIDEO OBTENIDA PROCEDENTE DE UN CIRCUITO DETECTOR DE IMAGENES. EL APARATO DE AJUSTE AUTOMATICO DE EXPOSICION DETECTA UN NIVEL DE SEÑAL DE LUMINANCIA DE LA SEÑAL DE VIDEO Y DETECTA UN PRIMER VALOR MEDIO QUE ES UN VALOR SIMPLE MEDIO POR AREA DE UNIDAD DE UN CUADRO DETECTADO DE IMAGEN. EL APARATO DE AJUSTE AUTOMATICO DE EXPOSICION TAMBIEN PRODUCE UN SEGUNDO VALOR MEDIO PONDERADO EN CADA AREA DE CONFORMIDAD CON UNA DISTRIBUCION DE LUMINANCIA EN EL CUADRO DETECTADO DE IMAGEN. EL APARATO DE AJUSTE AUTOMATICO DE EXPOSICION CONTROLA EL AJUSTE DE LA EXPOSICION BASADO EN LOS VALORES MEDIOS PRIMERO Y SEGUNDO.
