Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain optimum automatic exposure adjustment in accordance with the kinds of films, by selecting any of max. value, min. value and average value detecting circuits for projected light images and adjusting exposure. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of light of the projected light images of a microfilm is photodetected by a photoelectric element group 1, and the corresponding detection signals are outputted from max. value, min. value and average value detecting circuits 2-4. Any one of these circuits 2-4 is selected by a selection switch 5 for the detection circuits, and according to the comparison with the corresponding reference value via an automatic exposure adjusting device 6, an aperture 7 and an exposure lamp 8 are controlled, whereby the exposure is controlled automatically. The exposure is automatically adjusted to optimum one in accordance with the kinds such as negative or positive of character originals, films of general photographs including half-tone etc. by the selection of the detectors 2-4.
