EL INVENTO ESTA RELACIONADO CON UN PROCESO MEJORADO PARA PREPARAR ACIDOS SULFONICOS DE PARAFINA QUE CONTIENEN DE 10 A 20 CARBONOS, COMO TAMBIEN SUS SALES. EL PROCESO COMPRENDE LA REACCION INICIAL DE SULFO-OXIDACION DE LA MEZCLADE N-PARAFINAS, LA SUSTITUCION DE LAS N-PARAFINAS NO REACCIONADAS DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION, LA SUSTITUCION DEL EXCESO DE SO2 DE DICHA MEZCLA, Y LA SUSTITUCION DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION DEL ACIDO SULFURICO FORMADO EN ELLO, CON LA RECUPERACION SIMULTANEA DE LOS PRODUCTOS FINALES. DESPUES DE LA SUSTITUCION DEL SO2, EL PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION ES AÑADIDO Y LA SOLUCION ASI OBTENIDA ES SOMETIDA A UN TRATAMIENTO SELECCIONADO DE OTROS DE LOS SIGUIENTES TRATAMIENTOS: (A) ADICCION DE UN ALCOHOL CON UN NUMERO DE CARBONOS COMPRENDIDO DENTRO DEL RANGO DE 4 A 8; (B) CALENTAR A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA DENTRA DEL RANGO DE 50 A 150 C Y DESTILACION DE VACIO BAJO UNA PRESION RESIDUAL COMPRENDIDA DENTRO DEL RANGO DE 5 A 500 MMHG HASTA QUE AL MENOS EL 60% DELAGUA CONTENIDA SEA DESTILADA; (C) ADICCION DE UNA PARAFINA ALIFATICA O CICLOALIFATICA CON UN NUMERO DE CARBONOS COMPRENDIDO DENTRO DEL RANGO DE 6 A 8, Y DESTILACION DE LA MEZCLA AZEOTROPICA RESULTANTE A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA DENTRO DEL RANGO DE 20 A 120 C.
