LA PRESENTE INVENCION TRATA DE UN TRIFLUORURO DE TIERRA RARA DE CARACTERISTICAS MORFOLOGICAS NUEVAS. SE REFIERE IGUALMENTE AL PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE DICHO TRIFLUORURO, QUE SE CARACTERIZA POR EL HECHO DE QUE SE HACE REACCIONAR UNA DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE SAL DE TIERRA RARA CON UNA DISOLUCION DE FLUORURO AMONICO, SE SEPARA EL PRECIPITADO FORMADO Y SE LE SOMETE A UN TRATAMIENTO TERMICO. EL FLUORURO DE TIERRA RARA DE LA INVENCION PRESENTA UNA DISTRIBUCION GRANULOMETRICA FINA Y MONODISPERSA.
