Abstract

LA INVENCION PROPORCIONA UNA NUEVA SONDA CON CABEZA DE INMERSION PARA USAR EN UN APARATO PARA LA DETERMINACION DE LA CONCENTRACION DE GAS DISUELTO EN UN METAL FUNDIDO. TALES DETERMINACIONES SON NECESARIAS PARA FACILITAR LA EXTRACCION DEL GAS, QUE PUEDE PRODUCIR BURBUJAS EN EL METAL SOLIDIFICADO Y SUBSIGUIENTES DIFICULTADES DE PROCESADO. EL APARATO HACE CIRCULAR UN GAS PORTADOR INERTE A TRAVES DE LA SONDA EN CONTACTO DE CAMBIO DE GAS CON EL METAL FUNDIDO PARA INTRODUCIR GAS DISUELTO HASTA QUE SE OBTIENE UNA MEZCLA EN EQUILIBRIO; LA CONCENTRACION DEL GAS DISUELTO EN LA MEZCLA ES ENTONCES REPRESENTATIVA DE SU CONCENTRACION EN EL METAL FUNDIDO. LA CABEZA CONSTA DE UN CUERPO MONOLITICO O INTEGRAL DE UN MATERIAL PERMEABLE AL GAS POROSO DE SUFICIENTE RESISTENCIA MECANICA A LA TEMPERATURA DEL METAL FUNDIDO Y DE SUFICIENTE POROSIDAD, TAMAÑO DE PORO Y PERMEABILIDAD PARA PERMITIR LA NECESARIA DIFUSION DEL GAS EN UN PERIODO DE TIEMPO RAZONABLE.
