EL DISPOSITIVO INCLUYE POR LO MENOS UN TRANSISTOR DE ENERGIA CUYA TRAYECTORIA COLECTOR-EMISOR ESTA EN SERIE CON EL MOTOR DEL VENTILADOR ELECTRICO, ENTRE LOS DOS POLOS DE UN SUMINISTRO DE CORRIENTE CONTINUA. UN CIRCUITO PILOTO RECIBE UNA SEÑAL DE CONTROL VARIABLE EN DEPENDENCIA DE LA CUAL VARIA EL VOLTAJE DEL COLECTOR-EMISOR DEL TRANSISTOR DE ENERGIA. UN CIRCUITO DE REALIMENTACION NEGATIVA SE CONECTA AL COLECTOR DEL TRANSISTOR PARA LA REGULACION DE CIRCUITO CERRADO DE LA VELOCIDAD DEL MOTOR. UN CIRCUITO DE UMBRAL CORTA EL CIRCUITO PILOTO CUANDO LA SEÑAL PROPORCIONADA POR UN SENSOR DE TEMPERATURA CONECTADO AL TRANSISTOR DE ENERGIA INDICA QUE LA TEMPERATURA DEL TRANSISTOR EXCEDE UN VALOR PREDETERMINADO. LA SEÑAL PROPORCIONADA POR EL SENSOR DETEMPERATURA ESTA DISPONIBLE TAMBIEN EN UN TERMINAL DE SALIDA DEL DISPOSITIVO PARA FACULTARCUALQUIER PROCESADO DE ESTE POR UNA UNIDAD EXTERNA.
