UN METODO PARA FABRICAR CUERPOS COMPUESTOS DE CERAMICA AUTOSOPORTANTES DE LA FORMA DESEADA INFILTRANDO UNA PREFORMA PERMEABLE CON UN MATERIAL DE MATRIZ POLICRISTALINA QUE CONSTA ESENCIALMENTE DE UN PRODUCTO DE REACCION DE OXIDACION OBTENIDO POR OXIDACION DE UN PRECURSOR METALICO ORIGINAL, TAL COMO ALUMINIO, Y QUE CONTIENE OPCIONALMENTE CONSTITUYENTES METALICOS. EL CUERPO COMPUESTO SE FORMA PONIENDO EN CONTACTO UNA ZONA DE UNA PREFORMA PERMEABLE QUE TIENE AL MENOS UN LIMITE DE SUPERFICIE DEFINIDO SEPARADA DE DICHA ZONA DE CONTACTO, CON UN CUERPO DE METAL FUNDIDO QUE REACCIONA CON UN OXIDANTE ADECUADO EN FASE DE VAPOR PARA FORMAR UN PRODUCTO DE REACCION DE OXIDACION. DENTRO DE UNA CIERTA REGION DE TEMPERTURA, Y OPCIONALMENTE CON UNO O MAS DOPANTES EN, O SOBRE, EL METAL ORIGINAL O LA PREFORMA PERMEABLE MENCIONADA, EL METAL ORIGINAL FUNDIDO PASA A TRAVES DEL PRODUCTO DE REACCION DE OXIDACION PREVIAMENTE FORMADO A ESTAR EN CONTACTO CON EL OXIDANTE, HACIENDO QUE EL PRODUCTO DE REACCION DE OXIDACION AUMENTE DENTRO DE LA PREFORMA HASTA EL MENCIONADO LIMITE DE SUPERFICIE DEFINIDO INFILTRANDO ASI LA PREFORMA HASTA ESTE, Y PROPORCIONANDO LA ESTRUCTURA COMPUESTA CON LA GEOMETRIA DESEADA.
