Definitions
- the invention relates to a plastic molding according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such plastic moldings are used in particular as load carriers or containers or as parts of load carriers or containers.
- Known charge carriers of this type such as the charge carrier known from DE 102011 103359 A1
- the thermally insulating and lightweight foam material has the disadvantage that it is relatively soft and therefore not as stable as, for example, hard plastic material.
- the load carrier previously known from DE 102011 103359 A1 is therefore provided with fittings which consist of a material that is harder than the particle foam.
- Each fitting has an anchoring section that is anchored in the base body made of particle foam and is completely embedded in the particle foam.
- such fittings can have functional parts protruding from a surface of the base body, which are used, for example, to connect to another part of the load carrier or another plastic molded part and therefore have to be more stable than the base body.
- the fitting is inserted with its anchoring section into the production mold for the base body, and the anchoring section is then surrounded by foam.
- the foam cools, it contracts, resulting in shrinkage that can account for up to a 3% change in length in each spatial direction.
- the injected anchoring section is subjected to forces without being able to deform in a sufficiently defined manner.
- the invention is based on the idea of making the anchoring section flexible in terms of its length.
- a compensating section extending in a longitudinal direction is provided between two end regions, the length of which, measured between the end regions, can be changed relative to one another by means of the application of force by moving the end regions.
- the anchoring section can react to the shrinkage of the foam material by shortening its length, so that stresses in the plastic molded part are largely avoided. For example, linear expansions due to the effects of heat can also be compensated.
- the at least one fitting is merely a reinforcement element that is completely embedded in the base body, ie consists of the anchoring section, for example, or has at least one functional section protruding from a surface of the base body.
- the at least one fitting it is possible for the at least one fitting to have two functional parts which are arranged at a distance from one another and are connected to one another by the compensating section.
- the length of the compensating section is expediently variable by at least 0.3% and preferably by at least 1.5% or at least 2.5%. It is preferred that the length of the compensating section is at least partially reversibly variable as a result of its preferably elastic deformation.
- the anchoring part can then react sufficiently to a contraction of the base body after the foaming process by changing the length of the compensating section.
- An expansion of the base body can also be compensated for by not compressing the compensating section but stretching it. In addition, for example, compression with subsequent stretching or vice versa is possible with at least partially reversible deformation.
- the compensating section has a large number of subsections lined up in the longitudinal direction, with each subsection having an opening through which the particle foam extends and which is surrounded by an edge.
- the foam material of the base body then extends through the openings, so that the anchoring part is firmly anchored in it.
- each edge has the shape of a regular polygon, it being expedient for adjacent edges to have a common corner or side.
- at least some of the sections and preferably all sections can have the shape of a rhombus, with adjacent rhombic sections having a common corner, or at least some of the sections and preferably all sections can have the shape of an equilateral hexagon. wherein adjacent hexagonal sections have a common side.
- the compensating section has a bordered area in plan view, at least half of the area of which is allotted to the openings, so that the compensating section does not oppose too great a force to a change in length.
- the compensating section has at least one row and preferably two or more rows of straight subsections lined up in a zigzag shape, each of which extends between the end regions.
- the compensating section has a shape that can be compared to the shape of an accordion. It is possible that different sections are combined with each other. However, it is preferred that all sections are identical.
- the at least one fitting is expediently made in one piece from a flart plastic. It is preferred that the base body and the at least one fitting are made from the same plastic, for example from polypropylene, from polyethylene or polyurethane.
- the fitting does not have to be laboriously removed from the base body for recycling. It is also preferred that the material of the at least one fitting does not have any other component and in particular no filler, ie it consists, for example, of unmixed polypropylene, unmixed polyurethane or unmixed polyethylene. In addition, it is preferred that the at least one fitting is made of a material that has no fiber reinforcement and in particular no glass fiber reinforcement
- the compensating section can advantageously be part of a peripheral or U-shaped frame.
- the frame can have several such compensating sections.
- FIG. 1 shows a transport container in the open position in a perspective representation
- FIG. 2 shows the container lid of the transport container according to FIG. 1 in a perspective view
- 3a, 3b the first fitting of the transport container according to FIG. 1 in two different perspective views and 4a to c show three different exemplary embodiments of part of a fitting with a compensating section, each in a top view and in a perspective view.
- Fig. 1 to 3b known from the prior art transport container 10 is shown, which has a first fitting 30 and a second fitting 32 on.
- first fitting 30 and a second fitting 32 on.
- the transport container 10 shown in FIG. 1 has a first container part 12 and a second container part 14 .
- the second container part 14 has a container bottom 16 and three side walls 18a, 18b, 18c, which protrude from the container bottom 16 upwards.
- the second container part has a fourth side wall 18d and a container lid 20 .
- the fourth side wall 18d is hinged to the container bottom 16 so that the transport container 10 can be brought from the open position shown in FIG. 1 into a closed position in which a transport space 22 is separated from the side walls 18a, 18b, the container bottom 16 and the container lid 20 is enclosed. In the open position, the transport space 22 is accessible via an opening 24 at the top.
- the first container part 12 has a first base body 26 made of a particle foam, while the second container part 14 has a second base body 28 made of the same particle foam.
- the base body 26, 28 are formed in one piece and can, as in the embodiment shown, be rigid or they can have mutually pivotable parts, such as the first base body 26, for example, the container lid 20 and the fourth side wall 18d.
- the first container part 12 also has a with the first
- the fittings are each made of flart plastic, from the same material from which the base body 26, 28 are made, in the present the embodiment of either polypropylene or polyethylene.
- the first fitting 30 has a frame-shaped first anchoring part 34 which is embedded in the first base body 26 and which has two longitudinal frame sides 36 and two transverse frame sides 38 connecting the longitudinal frame sides 36 to one another. Both the longitudinal sides 36 of the frame and the transverse sides 38 of the frame have openings 40 through which the foam material extends, so that the first anchoring part 34 is firmly embedded in the first base body 26 .
- a first connecting part 42 extending over a large part of its length and protruding from the first base body 26 is integrally formed on each of the longitudinal sides 36 of the frame.
- the second fittings 32 are riveted to the upper edges of the opposite side walls 18a, 18c and each have a second connection part 44 which projects upwards from the upper edge of the respective side wall 18a, 18c.
- the first connecting parts 42 are arranged at a distance from the second connecting parts 44, while in the closed position the second connecting parts 44 each engage in one of the channel-shaped first connecting parts 42.
- the first anchoring part 34 also has a number of positioning pins 46 which extend in the opposite direction to the first connecting part 42 .
- the positioning pins 46 are each embedded in the first base body 26 in such a way that their lateral surfaces 48 are surrounded by the foam material.
- their end faces 50 arranged at the free ends are exposed and flush with a surface of the container lid 20, here with an outer surface 52 facing away from the transport space 22. This is due to the fact that the positioning pins 46 serve to position the first fitting 30 in a production form They abut inner surfaces of the production mold when it is filled with the foam particles and the particles are expanded so that the first fitting 30 is held in position in the production mold.
- the first fitting 30 also has one piece with the first anchoring part 34 connected further functional parts 54 on a surface, here also on the transport space 22 facing away from the outer surface 52, the loading container lid 20 protrude from the first base body 26 and thus extend from the first anchoring section 34 in the opposite direction to the first connec tion section 42.
- the other functional sections 54 are each provided with a closing element 56 with which the container lid 20 can be fixed to the side wall 18b of the second container part 14 .
- Fig. 4a to c show inventive embodiments of a part of the first fitting 30, which extends between the two other functional parts 54 he stretches. These form end regions 60 which delimit a compensating section 64 extending in a longitudinal direction 62 from one end region 60 to the other.
- the compensating section 64 has a large number of identical partial sections 66 lined up in the longitudinal direction 62, which are deformable to a limited extent, so that the compensating section 64 can be compressed in the longitudinal direction 62. This takes account of the fact that the base body 26 contracts after production, ie after the first anchoring section 34 has been foamed around, during cooling, so that forces act on the other functional sections 54, for example, which force them towards one another. These forces cause the compensating section 64 to be shortened, so that uncontrolled deformation of the first anchoring part 34 is avoided in this area.
- the partial sections 66 each have an opening 68 which is bordered by an edge 70 which has the shape of a regular polygon in plan view.
- the first exemplary embodiment (FIG. 4a) involves equilateral hexagons, with adjacent hexagons each having a common side.
- the second exemplary embodiment (FIG. 4b) involves rhombuses, with adjacent rhombuses each having a common corner.
- the compensating section 64 has two rows 72 of straight partial sections 66 lined up in a zigzag shape.
- the illustration of the compensating section 64 as part of the first anchoring section 34 is only to be seen as an example.
- Other parts of the first anchoring part 34 or the second fittings 32 can also be designed accordingly, in particular between two functional parts protruding from the respective base body 26, 28.
- the invention relates to a plastic molding with a base body 26 made of particle foam and with at least one fitting 30, which consists of a material that is harder than the particle foam, and which is anchored in the base body 26, completely in the Particle foam embedded anchoring part 34 has.
- the anchoring section 34 has a see between two end regions 60 in a longitudinal direction 62 extending compensation section 64, the measured length between the end regions 60 is variable by means of force application by moving the end regions 60 relative to each other.
