Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for covering a gap between a door leaf and a door frame according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such devices are known from the prior art. They can comprise a roller blind that covers a gap on the secondary closing edge of the door when the door leaf is opened, making it more difficult for human fingers, especially children, to penetrate the gap. This is therefore a pinch protection device, as the gap on the secondary closing edge changes in width during the opening and closing process of the door leaf.
  • a device in which a web material covers the gap when the door leaf is opened. When the door leaf is closed, the web material is mostly wound up in a housing. The housing is attached to the door frame.
  • a safety device which is suitable for use with hinged doors or windows.
  • the safety device comprises an elongated exclusion element which fits into the hinge gap of an open door and prevents or significantly reduces the risk of injury to a person by trapping fingers or other limbs in the hinge gap which is present in many door and window systems.
  • the present invention is based on the object of further improving the finger protection on the secondary closing edge.
  • the device comprises a covering means and a stabilizing means.
  • the covering means comprises a rollable web material with a first end and a second end. The first end is arranged opposite the second end.
  • the rollable web material can be particularly flexible.
  • the web material can consist of a textile.
  • the term "rollable” is understood in particular to mean that the web material can be rolled up on a roll attached to the door frame without plastic deformation by a closing movement of the door leaf carried out by a person.
  • the covering means is designed to be fastened with the first end to the door leaf and with the second end to the door frame, so that the web material covers a gap between the door leaf and the door frame.
  • This is preferably a gap at the end of the door leaf that is fastened to the door frame with a door hinge.
  • This gap can also be referred to as a gap at the secondary closing edge.
  • the first end and the second end can, for example, limit the web material in a horizontal direction when fastened to the door frame and the door leaf.
  • a longitudinal axis of the gap runs parallel to a longitudinal axis of the door leaf.
  • the longitudinal axis is understood to mean in particular the geometric axis which has the longest extension in comparison with other geometric axes of the respective area or component. This also applies analogously to other components and areas.
  • the stabilizing means is arranged on the covering means in a stabilizing region.
  • the stabilizing means increases the mechanical stability of the device in the stabilizing region. This can mean in particular that the device has a higher mechanical stability in the stabilizing region than outside the stabilizing region due to the stabilizing means arranged there. It can also mean that the device has a higher mechanical stability in the stabilizing region than would be the case without the stabilizing means.
  • the higher mechanical stability in the stabilization area makes it more difficult for the device to deform beyond a permissible degree of deformation in the stabilization area. This also reduces the risk of a human finger being inserted into the gap at the secondary closing edge of the door due to deformation of the covering means.
  • the mechanical stability in the stabilization area against a force acting on a first surface of the device is increased many times more than the mechanical stability against a force acting on a second surface of the device.
  • the force is always exerted directly on the respective surface. An object exerting the force is therefore in direct contact with the respective surface when the force is exerted.
  • the first surface is directed away from the door frame and the door leaf when the covering means is attached to the door leaf and the door frame.
  • the second surface is in the When the covering means is attached to the door leaf and the door frame, it is directed towards the door frame and/or the door leaf.
  • the first surface and the second surface can each extend between the first end and the second end, for example. A deformation of the web material depending on an applied force can be used as a measure of the mechanical stability.
  • This embodiment is particularly advantageous because it ensures that the web material can be wound up particularly easily, while at the same time reducing the risk of fingers being inserted into the gap.
  • a finger would have to deform the covering means in the stabilization region by exerting a force on the first surface in order to enter the gap.
  • the stabilizing agent may form part of the first surface.
  • the stabilizing means can be arranged over more than 90% of the width of the web material.
  • the width of the web material extends in a vertical direction when the covering means is attached to the door frame and the door leaf. In this way, a relatively large stabilizing area is achieved in the vertical direction.
  • the stabilizing means may comprise a plurality of stabilizing elements.
  • the stabilizing elements can be designed in the form of rods.
  • the Stabilization elements have a length that is more than five times, in particular more than ten times, their width and thickness.
  • the length is understood to mean in particular the vertical direction when the covering means is attached to the door leaf and the door frame.
  • the length can in particular be the largest dimension of the stabilization elements.
  • the longitudinal axes of the stabilization elements can each extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the door leaf.
  • the stabilizing elements can each have at least one support surface.
  • Two adjacent stabilizing elements can support each other on the support surfaces when a force is applied from the first side to the adjacent stabilizing elements.
  • this is understood in particular to mean that a force acting on one of the adjacent stabilizing elements is diverted to the other stabilizing element when the support surfaces are in contact with each other.
  • the covering means can initially be pressed in when a force is applied to the first surface until the support surfaces of the adjacent stabilizing elements come into contact with one another.
  • the covering means can then no longer be pressed in by a force applied to the first surface when the support surfaces are in contact with one another and the covering means is attached to the door frame and the door leaf.
  • This can mean in particular that further pressing in of the covering means by the force applied to the first surface is only possible with damage to the stabilizing elements.
  • the stabilizing elements can have a width that is wider than the gap. In this case, the stabilizing elements that abut against one another with the support surfaces cannot be pressed into the gap by the force acting on the first surface.
  • the support surfaces of the adjacent stabilizing elements do not come into contact with each other when a force is exerted on the second surface. This can in particular improve the windability of the covering means.
  • the support surfaces of the adjacent stabilization elements can abut one another when the covering means is attached to the door frame and the door leaf when the door leaf is in a closed state.
  • the closed state of the door leaf is understood in particular to mean that the door leaf closes an opening defined by the door frame.
  • the door leaf In an open state, the door leaf can expose this opening.
  • the adjacent stabilization elements In the open state, the adjacent stabilization elements can, for example, be free from contact with one another.
  • one of the adjacent stabilizing elements can rest against the door leaf when the door leaf is closed.
  • Another of the adjacent stabilizing elements can rest against the door frame when the door leaf is closed.
  • the covering means can be arranged between the respective stabilizing element and the door frame or the door leaf.
  • a side of the respective stabilizing element facing the covering means is arranged parallel to the door frame or the door leaf.
  • the stabilizing elements can be designed to be rigid. This can mean in particular that they cannot be deformed or can only be deformed to a small extent without damage. Plastic deformation is also considered to be damage. The rigidity can in particular increase the mechanical stability in the stabilizing area.
  • the device can comprise a winding housing in which the covering means can be at least partially wound up.
  • the winding housing and the covering means can be designed so that the covering means is wound up in the winding housing when the door leaf is pivoted from an open to a closed state when the covering means is fastened to the door frame and the door leaf.
  • the covering means can be fastened to the door frame in particular via the winding housing, for example with the second end.
  • the stabilizing means can be partially wound up together with the covering means. However, it is also possible for the stabilizing area not to be wound up.
  • the stabilization area can be limited to the maximum width of the gap.
  • width is understood to mean in particular the dimension of the gap in the horizontal direction between the door frame and the door leaf. Since the width of the gap changes during a pivoting movement of the door leaf, it is advantageous to at least limit the maximum width with the stabilization area. However, an even wider coverage can be dispensed with, for example to improve the windability, since increased mechanical stability is not required here.
  • the door according to claim 13 44- comprises a device according to an embodiment of the invention, a door leaf and a door frame.
  • the covering means is fastened with the first end to the door leaf and with the second end to the door frame.
  • the device 100 comprises a covering means 101 and a stabilizing means 102.
  • the covering means 101 comprises a flexible web material made of a textile, which can also be referred to as a roller blind, for example.
  • the stabilizing means 102 comprises several stabilizing elements 103.
  • the stabilizing elements 103 are rigid and therefore increase the mechanical stability of the device in the stabilizing area in which they are arranged.
  • the stabilizing elements 103 are rod-shaped and arranged directly next to one another. Their longitudinal axes extend parallel to one another.
  • the stabilizing elements 103 can be designed as slats, for example. It is also possible for the stabilizing elements 103 to be glued onto the covering means 101.
  • the device 100 comprises a first end 104 and a second end 105.
  • the device 100 can be attached to a door leaf using the first end 104.
  • the device 100 can be attached to a door frame using the second end 105.
  • the device 100 covers a gap on the secondary closing edge of the door leaf between the door leaf and the door frame, making it more difficult to insert a human finger into this gap.
  • the stabilizing means 102 is particularly advantageous here, as the mechanical stability is increased.
  • the covering means 101 and the stabilizing means 102 can be wound at least partially on a winding means 200, as shown in Figure 2 is shown.
  • the covering means 101 and the stabilizing means 102 can be wound onto the winding means 200 when the door leaf is closed, while the covering means 101 and the stabilizing means 102 are unwound from the winding means 200 when the door leaf is opened.
  • the covering means can be attached to the door frame, for example with the second end 105, via the winding means 200.
  • the stabilizing elements 103 form a first surface. If a force is exerted on this surface, the device does not deform because the stabilizing elements are in contact with each other, are rigid and thus dissipate the force. It is therefore advantageous if the first surface is separated from the gap when the device 100 is attached to the door frame and the door leaf. at the secondary closing edge of the door leaf. Without damaging the stabilizing elements 103, a human finger can no longer be inserted frontally into the gap.
  • a force is exerted on a second surface of the device 100, which is formed by the covering means 101 in the form of the web material, the device 100 is deformed because the stabilizing elements 103 are bent apart and do not support each other.
  • Figure 3 Such a deformation of the device 100 is shown when a force F is exerted on the second surface in the direction indicated by an arrow in the figure.
  • the second surface is directed in the direction of the gap, so that there is no or very little risk of injury from such a deformation.
  • the Figures 4 and 5 The embodiment shown comprises - similar to the embodiment from the Figures 1 to 3 - a covering means 101 in the form of a web material with a first end 104 and a second end 105.
  • the stabilizing means 401 is, however, designed differently. It comprises rod-shaped stabilizing elements 402 which are covered by a web material 401.
  • the functionality is similar to that of the embodiment from the Figures 1 to 3
  • the sheathing of the stabilizing elements 402 is particularly optically advantageous if the web material 401 is similar or identical to the web material 101.
  • the stabilizing elements 401 are arranged only in a partial area of the covering means 101. The Only this part of the area is therefore the stabilization area. This is advantageous for space-saving and easy winding of the covering material on the winding means 200.
  • the embodiment of the device 600 in the Figures 6 and 7 the stabilizing means 601 is arranged in an interruption of the covering means 101.
  • the stabilizing means 601 consists of a single stabilizing element.
  • the mechanical stability of the device 600 in the stabilizing region is increased regardless of whether the force is exerted on the first surface or on the second surface.
  • the stabilizing means 601 is also - similar to the embodiment from the Figures 4 and 5 - arranged outside a region of the device 600 that is wound up. This is advantageous due to the relatively wide design of the stabilizing means 601.
  • the device 800 shown comprises a covering means 101 and a stabilizing means with two adjacent stabilizing elements 801.
  • the stabilizing elements 801 each have a support surface 802.
  • the covering means 101 is attached to the door frame 1001 and the door leaf 1000, the support surfaces 802 are not in contact with each other when the door leaf 1000 is closed and no force is exerted on the device 800. This state is shown in the Figures 8 and 11 shown.
  • the device 800 If in this state a force F is exerted on the first surface formed by the stabilizing elements 801, the device 800 is deformed so that the support surfaces 802 lie against each other over their entire surface.
  • This state is shown in the Figures 9 and 12 In this state, the device cannot further into the gap between the door leaf 1000 and the door frame 1001 at the secondary closing edge of the door leaf 1000 than in Figure 12 shown without damaging the device 800, since the stabilizing elements 801 are supported on one another via the support surfaces 802 and together have a greater extent in the horizontal direction than the gap. The stabilizing elements 801 can thus only be partially inserted into the gap. This reduces the risk of a human finger being inserted into the gap.
  • the support surfaces 802 of the stabilizing elements 801 also rest against one another. Since the support surfaces are each arranged at an angle of less than 90°, preferably less than 80°, for example 45°, starting from the first surface, the stabilizing elements 801 rest on the door frame 1001 and the door leaf 1000 in the closed state of the door leaf 1000, separated from the door frame 1001 and the door leaf 1000 only by the covering means 101. One of the stabilizing elements 801 rests on the door frame 1001 in this way and another of the stabilizing elements 801 rests on the door leaf 1000 in this way. This is particularly advantageous for optical reasons.
  • the device 800 can also be wound up on a winding means 200, as described with respect to the other devices, since the stabilizing elements 801 are not wound up when the door leaf 1000 is closed.
