Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Surfboard mit einem aufblasbaren Rumpfbauteil (2) mit einer heckseitigen Aufnahme (4), einer Antriebseinheit (3), die formschlüssig in die heckseitige Aufnahme (4) passt, einem unterwasserflächenseitigen Spalt (6) zwischen dem Rumpfbauteil (2) und der Antriebseinheit (3), wobei an einer Unterwasserfläche (7) des Rumpfbauteils (2) ein Überlapp (8) angeordnet ist, der den Spalt (6) zumindest abschnittsweise abdeckt.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft ein Surfboard mit einem Rumpfbauteil mit einer heckseitigen Aufnahme, einer Antriebseinheit, die formschlüssig in die heckseitige Aufnahme passt und einem unterwasserflächenseitigen Spalt zwischen dem Rumpfbauteil und der Antriebseinheit.
  • Aufblasbare Surfboards mit einer Antriebseinheit sind im Stand der Technik beispielsweise aus der DE 10 2015 103 503.0 bekannt. Das bekannte Surfboard weist ein aufblasbares Rumpfbauteil mit heckseitiger Aussparung auf sowie eine Antriebseinheit, die in die heckseitige Aussparung formschlüssig passt und in sie eingefügt ist. Zwischen der Antriebseinheit und dem Rumpfbauteil bildet sich ein unterwasserflächenseitiger Spalt aus. Das durch die Antriebseinheit angetriebene Surfboard kann erhebliche Geschwindigkeiten von 25 Knoten und mehr während der Fahrt annehmen. Dadurch entstehen eine Wasserströmung entlang der Unterwasserfläche des Surfboards und ein Wasserdruck auf die Unterwasserfläche des Surfboards, der Wasser in den Spalt hineindrückt. Dadurch wird die formflüssige Verbindung zwischen Rumpfbauteil und Antriebseinheit gelockert, wodurch sich der Wasserwiderstand des Boards unnötig erhöht und der Formschluss wird deutlich verschlechtert.
  • In der DE 10 2015 103 863 A1 ist ein Surfboard mit einem zweiteiligen Antriebsbauteil offenbart, das am heckseitigen Ende mit Befestigungsmitteln an einem aufblasbaren Rumpfbauteil lösbar befestigt werden kann. Die Konturen des zweiteiligen Antriebsbauteils und des Rumpfbauteils sind einander komplementär angepasst. Es weist grundsätzlich dieselben Probleme wie der vorgenannte Stand der Technik auf.
  • Es ist daher Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein Surfboard zur Verfügung zu stellen, das die oben genannten Nachteile vermeidet, zumindest verringert.
  • Die Aufgabe wird durch ein eingangs genanntes Surfboard mit den kennzeichnenden Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 gelöst.
  • Bevorzugte Ausführungsformen sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.
  • Das erfindungsgemäße Surfboard umfasst ein Rumpfbauteil mit heckseitiger Aussparung, eine Antriebseinheit, die in die heckseitige Aussparung formschlüssig passt und vorzugsweise bereits in sie eingefügt ist, und einen unterwasserflächenseitigen Spalt zwischen Rumpfbauteil und Antriebseinheit, wobei an der Unterwasserfläche des Rumpfbauteils ein Überlapp angeordnet ist, der den Spalt zumindest abschnittsweise abdeckt.
  • Es hat sich gezeigt, dass der Eintritt von Wasser in den Spalt effektiv gemindert werden kann, wenn ein Überlapp an der Unterwasserfläche des Rumpfbauteils angeordnet ist, der den Spalt zumindest abschnittsweise abdeckt. Es ist nicht unbedingt erforderlich, einen wasserdichten Abschluss gegenüber dem umgebenden Wasser zu erreichen. Der Überlapp hat jedoch die Funktion, dass während der Fahrt, also wenn sich eine Wasserströmung entlang der Unterwasserfläche des Surfboards ausbildet, diese Wasserströmung nicht mehr in den Spalt eindringen kann, sondern entlang der Unterwasserfläche über den Spalt hinweg geleitet wird. Das Wassereindringen in den Spalt wird so weitgehend verhindert, und zusätzlich kann eine geringe Sogwirkung an dem offenen Ende des Überlapps stattfinden, die das in dem Spalt befindliche Wasser sogar noch etwas heraussaugt.
  • Günstigerweise weist das Rumpfbauteil zwei seitliche Arme auf, die die Antriebseinheit vorzugsweise U-förmig umgreifen. Der Überlapp ist dem Verlauf des Spaltes angepasst, und der Überlapp ist daher ebenfalls U-förmig ausgebildet und überdeckt zumindest den bugseitigen Abschnitt des Spaltes. In den bugseitigen zur Fahrtrichtung quer, vorzugsweise senkrecht angeordneten Spaltabschnitt dringt bisher am meisten Wasser in den Spalt ein. Das kann wirksam verhindert werden. U-förmig ist hier allgemein zu verstehen. Unter U-Form ist eine strenge U-Form aber auch eine Schalenform, eine rechteckige Form o.Ä. zu verstehen.
  • Vorzugsweise ist das Rumpfbauteil aufblasbar ausgebildet. Insbesondere bei aufblasbaren Rumpfbauteilen kommt es durch das Eidringen von Wasser in den Spalt zu einer Spaltverbreiterung und einer Erhöhung des Fahrwiderstandes, weil das Rumpfbauteil unter dem Druck des eindringenden Wassers etwas nachgibt.
  • Das Rumpfbauteil kann aus einem Drop Stitch Material gebildet sein und ist fest aufblasbar. Die seitlichen Wandungen des Rumpfbauteils sind nach außen abgerundet hervorstehend, also konvex ausgebildet. Diese konvexe Ausformung des Rumpfbauteils bildet sich quasi automatisch dadurch, dass Luft unter hohem Druck in das Rumpfbauteil eingeleitet wird. Die umlaufenden seitlichen Wandungen der Antriebseinheit sind in entsprechender Weise konkav ausgebildet. Breite und Länge der Antriebseinheit sind so gewählt, dass sie in die Aussparung formschlüssig hineinpassen. Trotz genauer Anpassung der seitlichen Wandungen der Antriebseinheit an das aufgeblasene Rumpfbauteil bildet sich dennoch insbesondere exakt an der Unterwasserfläche ein Spalt zwischen Rumpfbauteil und Antriebseinheit aus. In diesen Spalt wird Wasser während der Fahrt hineingedrückt.
  • Insbesondere ein in Fahrtrichtung querverlaufender Abschnitt des Spaltes ist erfindungsgemäß durch den Überlapp abgedeckt. Der Überlapp deckt vorzugsweise den gesamten querlaufenden Abschnitt des U-förmigen Spaltes ab und deckt zumindest ein Stück weit die U-förmigen Seitenschenkel des Spaltes ab. Vorzugsweise ist der Überlapp an der der Aussparung abgewandten Kante möglichst glatt mit der Unterwasserfläche des Rumpfbauteils verbunden, also beispielsweise abgeschrägt, und direkt an der Kante, insbesondere der in Fahrtrichtung des Surfboards vorlaufenden Kante, verklebt oder vernäht, so dass Wasser auch bei stärkerer Strömung nicht zwischen die vorlaufende Kante des Überlapps und das Rumpfbauteil dringen kann und günstigerweise der Wasserwiderstand des Boards nicht durch die Kante erhöht wird.
  • In einer weiteren günstigen Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist zwischen einer der Antriebseinheit zugewandten Innenseite des Überlapps und der Unterwasserfläche der Antriebseinheit ein lösbares Befestigungsmittel angeordnet.
  • "Innen" bezieht sich dabei und im Folgenden auf die Orientierung hin zur Antriebseinheit oder hin zur U-förmigen Aussparung. Entlang einer Innenseite des Überlapps kann an der der Antriebseinheit zugewandten Seite des Überlapps eine lösbare Verbindung, beispielsweise ein Klettverschluss angeordnet sein, der mit einem an der Unterwasserfläche der Antriebseinheit angeordneten Klettverschluss-Gegenstück zusammenwirkt und den Überlapp somit zusätzlich auch an der Antriebseinheit zumindest lösbar befestigt. Dadurch kann das Eindringen von Wasser weiter vermindert werden und die Gefahr der Erhöhung des Wasserwiderstands des Boards durch den Überlapp kann ebenfalls vermindert werden.
  • Damit ein möglichst geringer zusätzlicher Strömungswiderstand entsteht und der Überlapp den Spalt möglichst günstig abdeckt, ist zumindest eine Befestigungslinie zwischen Überlapp und Rumpfbauteil vorgesehen, wobei vorteilhafterweise ein Nennmaß der Befestigungslinie des Rumpfbauteils größer ist als ein Nennmaß der Befestigungslinie des Überlapps. Die Befestigungslinien von Rumpfbauteil und Überlapp sind also nicht exakt identisch, sondern dadurch, dass die Befestigungslinie des Rumpfbauteils etwas größer ist als die des Überlapps, ist ein Einfügen der Antriebseinheit in das Rumpfbauteil zunächst im nicht aufgeblasenen Zustand leicht möglich, und der Überlapp spannt sich glatt, wenn das Rumpfbauteil fest aufgeblasen wird. Dadurch wird einer Faltenbildung entgegengewirkt.
  • Vorzugsweise ist der Überlapp zum heckseitigen Ende hin offen. Der zum heckseitigen Ende hin offene Überlapp hat den Vorteil, dass ein zumindest geringer Bernoulli-Effekt durch die entlang dem Überlapp und dem Antriebsbauteil vorbeifließende Wasserströmung entstehen kann, die quasi noch Wasser aus dem Spalt heraussaugt.

  • In den Fig. 1 und Fig. 2 sind Surfboards 1 nach dem Stand der Technik dargestellt. Das Surfboard 1 weist ein Rumpfbauteil 2 auf, das aufblasbar ist. In einer Draufsicht ist das Rumpfbauteil 2 in einem Heckabschnitt im Wesentlichen U-förmig ausgebildet. In eine U-förmige Aufnahme 4 des Rumpfbauteils 2 ist eine Antriebseinheit 3 eingebracht.
  • Das Rumpfbauteil 2 kann aus einem sogenannten Drop Stitch Material gefertigt sein. Das Drop Stitch Material wird im Drop Stitch Verfahren hergestellt, bei dem zwei oder mehrere Kunststoffgewebebahnen, vorzugsweise Denierpolyestergewebebahnen übereinandergelegt werden. Die beiden Kunststoffgewebebahnen werden durch eine Vielzahl, d. h. Tausende von Polyesterfäden, miteinander verbunden. Dabei wird der maximale Abstand der beiden Gewebebahnen festgelegt, so dass der zwischen den Gewebebahnen mit Polyester gefüllte Raum später mit Druckluft gefüllt werden kann und die Gewebebahnen dabei weitgehend parallel zueinander sind. Die Polyesterfäden werden beispielsweise mit Hilfe einer Drop Stitch Nähmaschine beidseitig mit den beiden Gewebebahnen vernäht. Die beiden miteinander vernähten Gewebebahnen bilden das Stützgerüst, das dem Rumpfbauteil 2 im aufgeblasenen Zustand seine mechanische Festigkeit verleiht.
  • Die beiden miteinander verbundenen Gewebebahnen werden auf die gewünschte Form zugeschnitten. Die obere und die untere Gewebebahn werden vorzugsweise mit PVC-Schichten, vorzugsweise mit drei Schichten, beschichtet, schichtweise gepresst und verklebt. Die Seiten werden mit Nahtband überlappend verklebt und gepresst, so dass das luftdichte Rumpfbauteil 2 entsteht.
  • Das Drop Stitch Verfahren ermöglicht es, das aufblasbare Rumpfbauteil 2 mit hervorragenden mechanischen Festigkeitseigenschaften zu fertigen, die sowohl hohen Zug- als auch Druck- und Scherbelastungen standhalten. Die Drop Stitch Außenhaut des aufblasbaren Rumpfbauteils 2 ist luftdicht und im aufgeblasenen Zustand ausgesprochen verformungsstabil, so dass ein Surfer auch unter Beibehaltung der Außenform des aufgeblasenen Rumpfbauteils 2 auf dem Rumpfbauteil 2 stehen und surfen kann. Das Rumpfbauteil 2 ist mit Luft unter Hochdruck befüllt. Die Befüllung kann mittels einer Luftpumpe oder eines Kompressors erfolgen. Der Kompressor kann mit der elektrischen Energie von im Surfboard 1 eingebauten Akkumulatoren gespeist werden.
  • Das aus dem Drop Stitch Material gefertigte Rumpfbauteil 2 ist vorzugsweise geräuschdämpfend, sodass die Lautstärke, die durch Wellenschlag, aber auch durch den Antrieb erzeugt wird, durch den Rumpf gedämpft wird. Das Rumpfbauteil 2 ist während des Betriebs schwingungsarm, weil durch das Drop Stitch Material Schwingungen reduziert werden. Da das Rumpfbauteil 2 etwas verformbar ist, werden Stöße durch Wellen usw. vorteilhafterweise aufgefangen. Vorteilhaft ist des Weiteren gegenüber herkömmlichen Surfboards 1, dass der weichere Rumpf weniger Verletzungen hervorruft, z. B. wenn das Surfboard 1 beim Herunterfallen des Surfers mit dem Surfer kollidiert.
  • Der heckseitige Bereich des Rumpfbauteils 2 weist die Aufnahme 4 für die Antriebseinheit 3 auf. Die Antriebseinheit 3 kann einen Jetantrieb umfassen. Der Jetantrieb umfasst eine Öffnung für den Wassereinlass an einer Unterwasserfläche 7 der Antriebseinheit 3 sowie einen Wasserkanal zur heckseitigen Stirnfläche der Antriebseinheit 3 hin. Der Wasserauslass kann dort durch eine Düse gebildet werden. Die Düse kann schwenkbar oder fest angeordnet sein.
  • Im Wasserkanal ist ein Rotor vorgesehen, der durch seine hohe Drehzahl in Betrieb Wasser in den Wasserkanal hineinsaugt und nach hinten durch die Düse herausspritzt und dem Surfboard 1 somit den Vortrieb verleiht. Der Rotor ist über einen Antriebsstrang mit einem Motor verbunden, vorzugsweise einem Elektromotor, der ggf. über eine Steuerung steuerbar ist und der mittels des Akkumulators mit Strom versorgt wird. Die Antriebseinheit 3 ist insgesamt austauschbar. Der Begriff des Rotors ist hier weit zu verstehen. Es kann sich dabei um einen Propeller, einen Impeller o.Ä. handeln.
  • Zwischen der Antriebseinheit 3 und dem Rumpfbauteil 2 entsteht ein Spalt 6. Da das Rumpfbauteil 2 in die Aufnahme 4 hinein entlang einer die Antriebseinheit 3 etwa dreiviertel umlaufenden Seiteninnenwandung konvex ausgebildet ist, ist ein Außenumfang der Antriebseinheit 3 zwar dieser Kontur durch eine konkave Ausbildung formschlüssig angepasst, jedoch kann diese Anpassung nie so exakt erfolgen, dass kein Spalt 6, insbesondere nicht direkt an der Wasserunterfläche 7, an der Stoßfuge zwischen dem Rumpfbauteil 2 und der Antriebseinheit 3, entsteht. Der Spalt 6 ist in der Fig. 2 übertrieben breit dargestellt. Jedoch wird das Problem erkennbar, dass bei der Fahrt des Surfboards 1 Wasser durch die Strömungsgeschwindigkeit regelrecht in den Spalt 6 hineingedrückt wird. Der Wasserstrom ist durch die längeren Pfeile dargestellt. Eine Fahrtrichtung F des Surfboards 1 ist durch einen breiten Pfeil dargestellt.
  • Fig. 3 zeigt das erfindungsgemäße Surfboard 1, das einen Überlapp 8 an der Unterwasserfläche 7 aufweist. Bei dem Überlapp 8 handelt es sich um einen aus PVC, PE, PET oder aus einem anderen Kunststoffmaterial gebildeten Lappen, der ebenfalls in einer Draufsicht im Wesentlichen gemäß Fig. 5 U-förmig ausgebildet ist und den Spalt 6 zumindest abschnittsweise überdeckt. Der Überlapp 8 kann aber auch aus Leder oder anderen Naturmaterialien oder auch einer Metallfolie bestehen. Der Überlapp 8 ist insbesondere zu einem in der Fahrtrichtung F quergestellten Spaltabschnitt 6a vorgesehen, der sich zwischen einer in der Fahrtrichtung F vorlaufenden Kante der Antriebseinheit 3 und einer entsprechenden, querstehenden Innenwandung 2a des Rumpfbauteils 2 befindet und überlappt den querlaufenden Spaltabschnitt 6a vollständig. Der Lappen 8 ist mit dem Rumpfbauteil 2 fest vernäht, verklebt oder verschweißt. Dafür ist eine Schweiß-, Klebe- oder Nahtlinie 9 vorgesehen, oder es sind mehrere der Schweiß-, Klebe- oder Nahtlinie 9 vorgesehen, die der der Aufnahme 4 abgewandten Kante 11 des Überlapps 8 folgt bzw. folgen.
  • Die dem Überlapp 8 in der Fahrtrichtung F vorlaufende oder seitlich an ihm verlaufende Kante 11 ist vorzugsweise in der Fahrtrichtung F angeschrägt und entlang der gesamten Kante 11 mit dem Rumpfbauteil 2 verklebt, so dass auch während der Fahrt durch die Wasserströmung kein Wasser zwischen der Unterwasserfläche 7 des Rumpfbauteils 2 und dem Überlapp 8 eindringen kann, sondern die Wasserströmung gemäß Fig. 4 unter dem Lappen umgelenkt wird. Der Überlapp 8 kann mit der Antriebseinheit 3 in einem Abschnitt, der mit der Antriebseinheit 3 überlappt, lösbar verbunden sein; dazu kann ein Klettverschluss 12 gemäß Fig. 3 oder Ähnliches zwischen dem der Antriebseinheit 3 zugewandten Rand des Überlapps 8 und der Antriebseinheit 3 ausgebildet sein.
  • Der Überlapp 8 liegt vorzugsweise faltenfrei eng an der Unterwasserfläche 7 der Antriebseinheit 3 an.
  • Fig. 6 zeigt den Überlapp 8 in einer Untenansicht. Die Untenansicht zeigt die U-förmige Aufnahme 4, die durch das Rumpfbauteil 2 ausgebildet wird. Seitlich an der Antriebseinheit 3 sind aufblasbare, im Querschnitt senkrecht zur Fahrtrichtung F kreisförmige Arme des Rumpfbauteils 2 angeordnet, die zwischen sich die Antriebseinheit 3 umgreifen. An dem in der Fahrtrichtung F vorlaufenden Teil der Antriebseinheit 3 ist der mit Rumpfbauteil 2 verbundene Überlapp 8 vorgesehen, der den Spalt 6 nicht notwendigerweise vollständig überdeckt, jedoch den zur Fahrtrichtung F quer, vorzugsweise senkrecht verlaufenden Spaltabschnitt 6a, in den herkömmlicherweise besonders viel Wasser eingedrungen ist, vollständig überdeckt.

Claims (6)

  1. Surfboard mit
    einem Rumpfbauteil (2) mit einer heckseitigen Aufnahme (4),
    einer Antriebseinheit (3), die formschlüssig in die heckseitige Aufnahme (4) passt,
    einem unterwasserflächenseitigen Spalt (6) zwischen dem Rumpfbauteil (2) und der Antriebseinheit (3),
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    an einer Unterwasserfläche (7) des Rumpfbauteils (2) ein Überlapp (8) angeordnet ist, der den Spalt (6) zumindest abschnittsweise abdeckt.
  2. Surfboard nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Rumpfbauteil (2) aufblasbar ist.
  3. Surfboard nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Rumpfteil (2) zwei seitliche Arme aufweist, die die Antriebseinheit (3) U-förmig umgreifen, und der Überlapp (8) ebenfalls U-förmig ausgebildet ist und zumindest den bugseitigen Abschnitt des Spaltes (6) überdeckt.
  4. Surfboard nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zwischen einer Innenseite des Überlapps (8) und der Unterwasserfläche (7) der Antriebseinheit (3) ein lösbares Befestigungsmittel angeordnet ist.
  5. Surfboard nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine Befestigungslinie zwischen dem Überlapp (8) und dem Rumpfbauteil (2) vorgesehen ist und ein Nennmaß der Befestigungslinie des Rumpfbauteils (2) größer ist als ein Nennmaß der Befestigungslinie des Überlapps (8).
  6. Surfboard nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Überlapp (8) zum heckseitigen Ende hin offen ist.
