Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sliding door fitting, in particular for a piece of furniture, with a running rail on which at least one running track is formed, and at least one running part with at least one running roller, which can be moved along a running track of the at least one running rail, on which at least one running part a sliding door can be fixed, with at least one guide element for the at least one roller of the running part being mounted on the running rail, which forms a guide track laterally next to the track, which causes the running part to be raised and subsequently lowered when the roller is passed over, and the at least one guide element is designed as a butt connection element that connects two abutting sections of the running rail to one another, and a piece of furniture.
  • the EP 2 815 136 B1 discloses a mounting arrangement with two profiles lying abutting one another, which form a raceway for a roller of a sliding door fitting.
  • a profile connector is provided, which is inserted below a raceway and supports the raceway in order to reduce downward deflection of the raceway under a weight load. This allows the track to be stabilized, although there may still be a small step between adjacent profile sections when driving over.
  • the roller can only be moved linearly along the track.
  • US 6,003,201 discloses a sliding door fitting in which a sliding door can be held on a receptacle of an insert that can be inserted into a guide rail.
  • the FR 2 708 306 shows another insert for positioning a sliding door along a travel path on a guide rail.
  • the DE 20 2018 106 540 discloses a sliding door fitting with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the sliding door fitting according to the invention comprises on the running rail at least one guide element for the at least one roller of the running part, which forms a guide track laterally next to the raceway, which causes the running part to be raised and then lowered relative to the raceway when the roller is moved over, so that the at least one roller in the Area the guideway is lifted slightly from the raceway.
  • This enables optimized guidance of the roller, which can, for example, bridge a joint area in running rails made up of several sections.
  • deliberate braking or locking can also be carried out via the guide track, whereby the guide track is only mounted where the roller is to be influenced in order to optimize the running behavior.
  • the at least one roller comprises a flange, which is arranged next to the track of the running rail and can be rolled on the guide track.
  • the preferably circular flange can be used, on the one hand, to prevent movement of the roller in the axial direction and, on the other hand, to briefly lift the roller from the track.
  • the track on the guide rail can be concave or convex or essentially V-shaped in order to center the roller.
  • the lateral guidance of the roller is then effected by one or two flanges which have a larger diameter than a central section of the roller.
  • the at least one guide element passes through a recess in the running rail with at least one projection.
  • the guide element can, on the one hand, be used to fix the running rail on the furniture body and, on the other hand, the guide element is also positioned in a predetermined position relative to the running rail.
  • the guide element preferably comprises one or more mounting openings for fixing to a furniture body using fasteners, for example screws or mounting bolts.
  • the at least one guide element comprises an upwardly curved guide track, which slightly raises the running part when driving over a roller and then lowers it again, for example in order to bridge a butt connection between two sections of the running rail.
  • the guide element is used as a butt connector, which connects the two sections of the running rail to one another and fixes them on a furniture body.
  • the guide element is designed in such a way that, as a butt connector, it connects at least two sections of the running rail and at the same time causes the roller to be lifted off the track by the one or more curved guide tracks.
  • the at least one guide element has at least two guide tracks for two rollers that can be moved on different tracks.
  • Most furniture has at least two sliding doors that are guided along different tracks on a running rail, so that both tracks of a running rail can each be provided with a guide track using a guide element.
  • the at least one guide element can have a locking receptacle to which the at least one roller can be locked.
  • the locking receptacle can be formed, for example, on a resilient web, for example in the form of a locking trough.
  • Such a locking receptacle is particularly advantageous for guiding a middle sliding door if three sliding doors can be moved on the furniture body, since the closed position of the middle sliding door can then be fixed via the guide element.
  • the guide element is inserted into a groove-shaped receptacle next to a raceway.
  • the guide element can be fixed in the groove-shaped receptacle by latching means or by clamping.
  • corresponding recesses or profiles are preferably formed on the running rail, so that the guide element can be mounted on the running rail without tools.
  • the guide element has a guide track in a height direction, which can be designed as an upwardly curved guide track or ramp-shaped structure. This is designed with an ascending and a descending section, which are optionally connected to one another by a straight section designed as a plateau in a central area.
  • the guide element has laterally arranged wall sections, wherein in a depth extension an inside of at least one wall section can be designed as a ramp-shaped structure or as a curved surface.
  • this ramp-shaped structure or the curved surface is achieved in that the wall section is designed with a constantly increasing thickness, with the respective end sides having a smaller thickness and a central section having a larger one Thickness.
  • the middle area can have a plateau with a uniform thickness.
  • the ramp-shaped structure or the curved surface acts as a second, laterally formed guide track for the roller in a depth direction.
  • both wall sections of the guide element are provided with such a ramp-shaped structure or curved surface, so that the clear width of the cavity of the guide element steadily decreases starting from the respective end sides towards the middle section.
  • This second guide track designed as a ramp-shaped structure or curved surface, causes the roller to move axially in the direction of the furniture body and thus enables a moving but constant contact point between the roller and the track when the guide element is moved over.
  • the roller when the guideway passes over the abutting area of the sections of the running rail, the roller is raised in the height direction from the track of the running rail in a height direction, but due to the lateral design of the second guideway as a result of its axial movement in the direction of the furniture body, it maintains its constant contact a guide on the track, with the contact point moving to the guide element depending on the position of the roller.
  • the running rail has at least two separate sections which are supported in the joint area by a support device against lowering.
  • the support device can either be designed integrally with the guide element or as a separate component. Assembly as a separate component has the advantage that the guide element and the support device can be made from different materials, with the support device being made from a material with higher strength, for example metal.
  • the support device can be essentially angular and fixed to an underside of a top shelf of a piece of furniture in order to support the running rail.
  • the support device comprises at least one displaceable or pivotable web or projection, which is in the abutment area of the running rail is movable from a retracted position to a projected position to support a raceway on the track. This simplifies assembly, since the pivotable or displaceable web or projection is only moved through an opening in the running rail after assembly of the support device in order to provide support at the desired position in the joint area.
  • the invention is preferably used in furniture, with at least one sliding door being movably held on a furniture body with a corresponding sliding door fitting.
  • the sliding door fitting can also be used on sliding doors for room dividers or for other purposes.
  • a piece of furniture 1 includes a furniture body 2, on which an opening can be closed by one or more sliding doors 5 or 6.
  • a running rail 3 is fixed to an upper floor, on which one or more running parts 4 are movably mounted, on each of which a sliding door 5 or 6 is held.
  • a front sliding door 5 and a rear sliding door 6 are provided, the front sliding door 5 being held on two running parts 4.
  • guide means can also be provided in order to guide or move the sliding doors 5 and 6 along the furniture body 2.
  • the running rail 3 is formed from two adjacent sections 3a and 3b, which are arranged abutting one another.
  • a guide element 10 is provided, which serves to guide the roller 7 of a running part 4.
  • two raceways 8 and 9 are provided on the running rail 3, which are arranged one above the other and which are contacted by the roller 7 when driving over them.
  • FIG 2 is the sliding door fitting Figure 1 shown in a side view.
  • An upper roller 7 is rotatably mounted on a running part 4 on which the front sliding door 5 is held.
  • the roller 7 of the running part 4 is guided on the upper raceway 9, the raceway 9 being curved upwards in a convex configuration.
  • a flange 72 is provided at the end in the axial extension of the track roller 7, which has a slightly larger diameter than the central area of the track roller 7 and thus provides lateral guidance when the track roller 7 rests on the track 9 ensures.
  • a lifting protection 11 in the form of a lever which, in the securing position, engages under the raceway 9 with a hook-shaped section 12 and thus only allows the sliding door 5 to be lifted until the hook-shaped section 12 hits the underside of the raceway 9 .
  • This distance is so short that the flange 72 cannot be pulled off over the raceway 9 in the axial direction of the roller 7.
  • the roller 7 is arranged on the track 9.
  • a middle section 70 of the roller 7 is in contact with the top of the raceway 9 in the lower region, so that the weight forces of the front sliding door 5 are thus transferred to the raceway 9 via the middle section 70.
  • a centrally arranged groove or groove 71 is provided, which serves for centering and can optionally be omitted can.
  • two flanges 72 are provided, which border the raceway 9 on opposite sides.

If a roller 7 passes over the joint area between the two sections 3a and 3b of the running rail 3, the raceway 8 or 9 can end up lowering slightly due to the weight load.
  • the roller 7 is lifted slightly in the relevant joint area by the upwardly curved guide track 13 formed on the guide element 10 or 14, so that the user can hardly notice that two sections 3a and 3b were assembled via a butt joint.
  • This allows the transport volume of a piece of furniture to be reduced because the running rail 3 is the largest component when made in one piece.
  • FIG. 8A to 8C an embodiment of a sliding door fitting not according to the invention is shown, which has a modified guide element 20.
  • the guide element 20 is not mounted in a joint area between adjacent sections 3a and 3b of a running rail 3, but can optionally also be mounted in such a joint area.
  • the guide element 20 comprises a guide track 23, which is not designed to be curved upwards, but rather has two spaced-apart curvatures, between which a central locking receptacle 24 designed as a locking trough is formed.
  • the roller 7 can be lifted slightly when driving over one of the two curvatures of the guide element 20 via the contact of the flange 72 with the guide track 23 and locked on the locking receptacle 24.
