Definitions

  • the invention relates to a baling press according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • baler is, for example, in EP 3 199 331 A1 described.
  • a packaging device On the lateral outer wall of the baling press housing, a packaging device is arranged such that it can be moved, in which a large number of items that are compacted by the press ram and filled into the press chamber are to be strapped with the wire at any desired position of the press ram.
  • balers are made by the bales of loose waste material and strapped with at least one wire loop.
  • the separated wire is stored in a magazine and can be removed from it if necessary.
  • the wire is often pushed manually into the baling chamber and placed around the bale in guide channels.
  • the document DE 19 36 493 A1 discloses a baler according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the wire is wound on a roll and a wire loop is permanently located between the inner wall of the baler housing and the pressed material, so that the wire is initially pushed into the baling chamber by the lifting movements of the press ram and is in contact with three sides of the bale.
  • the end of the wire is pushed into the ram by means of the packaging device and knotted there.
  • the wire should be able to be inserted into the baler housing and the press ram manually, semi-automatically or fully automatically.
  • a packaging device should be available for these work processes, which can be attached to existing baling presses as a modular and retrofittable kit.
  • a packaging device for inserting the wire by means of the packaging device into the interior of the baling press housing and the press ram, and that the wire is inserted into the baling press housing through at least one opening in the door and guided out of it, should be as simple and uncomplicated handling of individual wires for strapping bales.
  • the packaging device consists of a drive unit and/or a traction unit
  • the two free ends of the wire can advantageously be independent are pushed into and/or pulled out of one another in the baling press housing or the press ram.
  • the drive unit moves the first free end of the wire into the baler housing and then into the guide channel incorporated in the press ram and as soon as this first free end of the wire emerges from the opening incorporated in the door, the pulling unit picks it up so that the wire passes through the Pulling unit can be tightened around the pressed material or the bales arranged in the pressing chamber.
  • the drive unit and the traction unit can be provided and operated independently of one another or together.
  • the two free ends of the wire running on the outside of the door can advantageously be connected to one another by the drive unit and/or the pulling unit, so that the bale is strapped by the wire loop.
  • the press ram is pulled back into its starting position, the material forming the bale pushes the wire loop apart, as a result of which an equilibrium of forces arises between this and the pressed material.
  • several openings can be incorporated or provided in the door in order to strap the bale with several such wire loops.
  • the respective drive unit and the traction unit on the packaging device can each be mounted so that they can move axially on a guide rod, so that the drive unit and the traction unit can each be arranged in alignment with one of the openings in the door.
  • a fully automatic introduction of the wire into the baling press housing and the guide channel of the press ram takes place with the help of a magazine in the form of a drum, in which a large number of individual wires are arranged.
  • the drum is arranged at an inclined angle on the top of the baler housing in order to reduce the overall height of the baler. Due to this inclined orientation of the drum, the individual wires slide in the direction of the outlet opening of the drum.
  • the drive unit is provided in this area, which picks up the emerging wire and pushes it into the baler housing.
  • the drum is rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis, so that the respective shaft provided in the drum for receiving the wire can be positioned exactly aligned with the drive unit.
  • the filling of the drum is easy and time-saving because the individual wires can be pushed into the respective empty shaft of the drum.
  • the dead weight of such individual wires is very low compared to an endless wire wound on a roll.
  • each customer can choose from three operating options for loading the baler with a wire of a specified length.
  • the separated wire can be manually inserted into the baling press housing and pulled out of it, the insertion process of the separated wire takes place semi-automatically with the help of the drive unit and the wire can be tightened by the pulling unit or by loading the baling press housing and the press ram with the inserted wire Wire takes place fully automatically, namely when the separated wire is stored and made available in a magazine in the form of a drum.
  • such a packaging device can be attached as a retrofittable and modular kit. Only the door of the baler needs to be replaced to get the openings required in the door.
  • FIG 1 shows schematically a baling press 1 for compacting material 2, in particular waste material made of cardboard, leaves or grass, into a bale 3 strapped with at least one wire loop 7.
  • the baler 1 comprises a baler housing 8, which has a cuboid inner contour.
  • An opening 13 is provided in the bale press housing 8 through which the material 2 can be inserted so that it enters the bale press housing 8 .
  • a press ram 10 is provided in the baler housing 8 adjacent to the opening 13 , which is axially movable in the usual manner and consequently exerts a pressing force on the filled material 2 , so that the latter is compressed into the bale 3 .
  • the material 2 is pushed into a press chamber 9 and compressed there, since the press chamber 9 is closed by the baler housing 8 , the press ram 10 and a door 11 opposite the press ram 10 .
  • the pressing force exerted by the ram 10 accordingly acts in the pressing direction 4 , which runs perpendicularly to the door 11 .
  • a wire 6 is inserted into the bale press housing 8 and the ram 10 .
  • a guide channel 14 is provided in the baler housing 8 and the press ram 10, which essentially has a U-shaped or dovetail-shaped inner contour.
  • the guide channel 14 is open adjacent to the bale 3 so that the inserted wire 6 can be tightened to form the wire loop 7 in order to keep the compressed material 2 permanently in the predetermined shape of the compression chamber 9 .
  • a packaging device 21 is shown, through which the separated wire 6, which has a predetermined length of, for example, 4.2 meters, is moved into the bale press housing 8 and the ram 10 and tightened around the bale 3 to form the wire loop 7.
  • the packaging device 21 includes a drive unit 23 and a pulling unit 24 which are attached to the outside of the door 11 .
  • the drive unit 23 consists of one motor and two mutually spaced drive rollers 25, between which the wire 6 is inserted.
  • the first free end of the wire 6 is marked with the reference number 12' and the opposite second free end of the wire 6 with the reference number 12". Since the two drive rollers 25 exert a torque on the wire 6, this is guided into the guide channels 14, which are provided in the baler housing 8 and the press ram 14, is inserted and moved until the first free end 12' of the wire 6 emerges from the baler housing 8 in the area of the door 11.
  • the packaging device 21 can include both the drive unit 23 and the traction unit 24 or only one of the two components. This is part of the desired operating sequence in order to insert and tighten the wire 6 or to form the wire loop 7 .
  • the pulling unit 24 is designed as a threaded spindle, for example, so that a pulling and rotational force acts on the first free end 12 ′ of the wire 6 , as a result of which the wire 6 is tightened around the bale 3 .
  • the second free end 12" of the wire 6 is held by the drive unit 23 so that it is fixed and does not move in the direction of the bale housing 8. Consequently, the two free ends 12' and 12" of the wire 6 approach each other due to the pulling force of the Train unit 24 and can be connected to each other.
  • the pressing ram 10 can be moved out of the pressing chamber 9, as a result of which the pressing force exerted by it is lost and the material 2 expands in the opposite direction to the pressing direction 4 the wire loop 7 is further tightened by the outwardly acting deformation forces of the item 2 and the bale 3 is thus fixed in its predetermined shape by the wire loop 7 .
  • a guide rod 15 for the drive unit 23 and for the traction unit 24 is provided on the outside of the door 11 .
  • the drive unit 23 and the pulling unit 24 are mounted in an axially movable manner on the respective guide rod 15 so that the drive unit 23 and the pulling unit 24 can be positioned in alignment with the respective opening 22 .
  • the baling press 1 is equipped with a fully automatic packaging device 21. This is because the separated wires 6 are stored in a magazine in the form of a drum 26 . A plurality of elongated shafts 27 are incorporated into the drum 26, in which the respective wire 6 is arranged.
  • the drum 26 is arranged on the upper side of the baler housing 8 at a predetermined angle ⁇ of 30 degrees, for example, in order to keep the overall height of the baler 1 as low as possible.
  • the drum 26 is rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis, so that each shaft 27 provided in the drum 26 can be aligned with the drive unit 23 .
  • the drive unit 23 removes the wire 6 arranged there from the shaft 27 and transports the first free end 12 ′ of the wire 6 into the respective guide channels 14 of the baler housing 8 or of the Press ram 10 -as explained above.
  • the first free 12' of the wire 6 has been pushed out of the baler housing 8, it is picked up by the traction unit 24 and moved in the direction of the second free end 12'', which is held on the drive unit 23, so that the two free ends 12' and 12" can be knotted or fixed together.
  • the drive unit 23 and the traction unit 24 are advantageously located on top of the baler housing 8, i.e. between the baler housing 8 and the drum 26.
  • the first free ends 12' of the wire 6 are inserted through the openings 22 of the door 11; when the first free end 12 ′ emerges, however, these are arranged on the upper side of the baler housing 8 .
  • FIG 7 the rotational movement of the drum 26 and the positioning of the respective separated wire 6 in the shaft 27 can be seen. Due to the prevailing force of gravity and the inclined alignment of the drum 27, the individual wires 6 can slip out of the shaft 27 in the area of the drive unit 23, so that they are picked up by the drive unit 23 and transported further in the direction of the baler housing 8.
  • the respective chute 27 can be closed, for example, by a flap (not shown) or some other locking mechanism, and only when the desired chute 27 is located in the area of the drive unit 23 is the flap or the locking device opened in order to remove the wire 6 from the chute 27 be able.
  • FIG 8 shows schematically the connection between the two free ends 12' and 12" of the wire 6 to form the wire loop 7.
  • the first free end 12' is provided with a loop and the second free end 12" has a barb or another loop present.
  • One of the two free ends 12' or 12'' is to be inserted into the loop of the other free end 12'' or 12'. Due to the rotational movement of the first free end 12', which is exerted by the pulling unit 24 when tightening the wire 6, a rotational movement occurs when the two free ends 12' and 12" are released, because the wire 6 is under a certain pretension, which the two free ends 12' and 12" of the wire 6 twisted around each other. This causes a permanent and reliable fixation of the two free ends 12' and 12'' of the wire 6, so that the wire loop 7 straps the bale 3 present in the baling chamber 9 in the pressing direction 4.
  • the packaging device 21 can be designed as a modular kit and can consequently be retrofitted to existing baling presses 1 and used there.
