Definitions

  • the invention relates to a foiling device for the fully automatic foiling of goods according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a foiling device for the fully automatic foiling of goods according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a generic device is in DE 69 28 682 U described.
  • Foiling devices are used to cover or wrap goods with a foil.
  • the goods in sawn timber production companies are mainly packed manually or semi-automatically, with clips made of plastic or light metal or nails being used as tools to position or fix the foil.
  • Automatic foiling devices often use foil hoods to foil goods.
  • the foil is applied to the goods to be foiled and strapped or put over the goods as a prefabricated foil hood and then fixed with staples or nails or an additional strap.
  • the film is usually adapted to the different dimensions of the goods by exchanging the film on a film dispenser.
  • foiling devices A disadvantage of such foiling devices is that prefabricated foil hoods always require the same dimensions of the goods, which is why foil hoods do not allow any flexibility with regard to the dimensions of the goods.
  • the foil dispenser In order to adapt the foil to the respective dimensions of the goods, the foil dispenser has to be converted, which is time-consuming.
  • automatic foiling devices generally require a large amount of space and/or they require complicated and costly mechanics as well as increased processing times. Manual and semi-automatic foiling processes are not only cumbersome and tedious, but also correspondingly labor-, cost- and time-intensive due to various personnel-demanding steps.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to specify a foiling device of the type mentioned at the outset, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, with which simple, space-saving and fully automatic foiling of goods can be accomplished.
  • foiling process is uncomplicated and fully automatic. This relieves the operating personnel, since no human work steps are required for the foiling of the goods and employee costs can be saved accordingly. Furthermore, a simple, reliable and fully continuous operation of the foiling device is made possible. The automation also increases the efficiency of the foiling device. Furthermore, there is the advantage that no fixing elements such as clamps or nails are required to position and/or fix the film on the item, which enables visually appealing results of high quality. Since the space available in various plants and production rooms is often very limited, another advantage of the foiling device is that the dimensions of the foiling device can be made shorter than the goods to be foiled. Due to the space-saving design, the foiling device is also suitable for production rooms with limited space.
  • both foil-covered side edges of the item by the welding device in the welding plane keeps the processing time and the space requirement of the foiling device low, since the item does not have to be rotated or lifted for one or more welding steps. Since the grippers only grip the film at its opposite corners and pull and hold it from the ready position to the welding position, there is no need for complex and space-consuming mechanics, such as those used in articulated robot arms, and there is also a certain tightening of the film Foil instead, whereby creases and creases on the same arranged in the welding position Good are avoided.
  • a further advantage of the simple design of the grippers and the welding device is that these components require little maintenance due to their simplicity. Due to the welding of the side edges of the good, a multi-layered film on the good is avoided, since excess film does not have to be folded over. Since the respective item 2 is wrapped in foil with a precise fit, additional positioning or fixing means can be dispensed with.
  • the invention also relates to a method for operating a foiling device according to claim 10.
  • the object of the invention is therefore also to specify a method with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, with which a simple, space-saving and fully automatic wrapping of goods can be accomplished.
