Definitions

  • the invention relates to a printed product according to the preamble of claim 1, a method for producing a printed product, a forme cylinder according to the preamble of claim 12 and a printing press.
  • Such printing forms are, for example, gravure printing forms and/or screen printing forms and/or planographic printing forms and/or offset printing forms and/or letterpress printing forms and/or letterset printing forms.
  • up to twelve offset and/or letterset printing forms, up to three or more gravure printing forms, up to five or more forms for stencil cylinders and, for example, at least one screen printing form are used to produce copies of a specific security.
  • the production of such printing forms is associated with correspondingly high costs.
  • the setting up of one or more printing presses and/or processing machines for the change in production from one particular security to another correspondingly time-consuming and therefore cost-intensive.
  • setting up a respective corresponding printing machine can take several days. Since several different printing processes are used, the effort increases accordingly. Since, for example, securities with different denominations are produced for one currency, the effort at this point also increases by a factor that roughly corresponds to the number of different denominations.
  • the WO2018099596A1 corresponds to which is state of the art according to Article 54(3) EPC, a printed product and a corresponding method for producing a printed product is known, wherein the substrate of the printed product is printed with a plurality of columns of copies and each column is provided with an individual security thread and thus forms a separate column category and the benefits are otherwise the same across all columns.
  • ink transfer rollers in such a way that they have different ink absorption capacities in different areas of their lateral surfaces.
  • a method for the production of a printed product and a printed product is known, the substrate of which is printed with several columns of copies, in each of which several copies are arranged, each copy being designed as a respective preliminary stage of a security and all copies of a respective column being identical to one another are designed and wherein each of the columns is assigned to one of several column categories and wherein the printed product has at least two columns that are assigned to different column categories
  • the invention is based on the object of creating a printed product, a method for producing a printed product, a forme cylinder and a printing press.
  • a printed product is, for example, in the form of a printed sheet or a printed web.
  • the printed product is, for example, at least one security document, but preferably a preliminary stage of at least one and more preferably a multiplicity of security documents and preferably has at least one and more preferably several copies.
  • Individual securities are preferably later produced from the printed product in that the blanks are separated from one another in particular by at least one singulation process or cutting process.
  • the printed product is preferably characterized in that a substrate of the printed product is printed with a plurality of columns of copies in which a plurality of copies are arranged, in particular one after the other along a transport direction of the substrate.
  • the transport direction is preferably that direction in which the substrate moves during at least one printing process. Using a respective column, different places pass one after the other.
  • the printed product is preferably characterized in that several of the copies are embodied as a respective preliminary stage of a security document, in particular a banknote, and/or that each of the copies is embodied as a respective preliminary stage of a security document, in particular a banknote.
  • the printed product is preferably characterized in that several and/or more preferably all copies of a respective column are configured in the same way.
  • the same configuration is to be understood in particular as meaning at least one identical print motif, the same arrangement and formation of security features and identical material properties of the substrate.
  • the printed product is preferably characterized in that each of the columns is assigned to one of several column categories and that the printed product has at least two columns that are assigned to different column categories and that use in columns of a respective column category is of use in Distinguish columns of each other column category in at least one denomination or differ in at least one denomination and in at least one security feature.
  • the printed image or appearance of the copy as a whole should preferably also be considered a security feature in the general sense.
  • the blanks preferably represent a group of blanks whose respective designs interact with one another, in particular in that individual security features are produced in a transition from one blank to an adjacent blank before a separation process takes place.
  • the method is preferably characterized in that at least one substrate is printed in at least one printing process by means of at least one printing device, the substrate is formed for example as a web or more preferably as a sheet.
  • the method is preferably characterized in that at least two columns of blanks are produced on the at least one substrate and at least two of these columns are assigned to different column categories. More preferably at least three columns are generated, even more preferably at least four columns and even more preferably at least five columns.
  • the sheet has at least two different column categories, preferably at least three different column categories.
  • the method is preferably characterized in that in each of these columns several panels arranged one after the other in particular along the transport direction of the substrate are produced and several or preferably all panels of a respective column are configured identically to one another.
  • the method is preferably characterized in that several of the blanks are embodied as a respective preliminary stage of a security, in particular a banknote, and/or that each of the blanks is embodied as a respective preliminary stage of a security, in particular a banknote.
  • the method is preferably characterized in that panels in columns of a respective column category are generated with at least one other nominal value than panels in columns of every other column category and/or panels in columns of a respective column category with at least one other Denomination and at least one other security feature are generated as benefits in columns of any other column category.
  • the advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular, that by arranging different copies and/or different column categories on the same substrate, the production costs can be significantly reduced, particularly in the case of small runs. For example, fewer printing forms are necessary if different securities and/or banknotes can be produced simultaneously with the same printing form. In addition, the corresponding printing machines do not have to be set up again as often, which reduces the corresponding time expenditure. With just two different column categories per printing form, the number of printing forms required and the set-up time can be halved.
  • Banknotes of a particular series can be divided into different denomination categories with regard to their respective denomination, for example low, medium and high or only low and high. Often banknotes of the same denomination categories have relatively similar concepts of security features. Thus banknotes from the denomination category with a high denomination may be equipped with more and/or more complex security features than banknotes from the denomination category with a low denomination. Also, a situation of similar security features in banknotes of the same denomination category is often similar. Bank notes of the same denomination categories can then be produced particularly well on a common substrate.
  • a printed product 01 which preferably has at least one substrate 02, is preferred.
  • the at least one substrate 02 is a cotton-based substrate 02, for example, and/or consists of paper and/or at least one polymer, for example.
