Claims (15)

  1. Detektionssystem (10), wobei das System umfasst:
    eine Radareinheit (20), wobei die Radareinheit konfiguriert ist, um Objekte (26) in der Nähe eines Zugfahrzeugs (12) zu detektieren; und
    eine Steuerschaltung (32) in Kommunikation mit der Radareinheit, wobei die Steuerschaltung konfiguriert ist, um eine Detektionsverteilung (24) basierend auf der Radareinheit zu bestimmen;
    wobei die Detektionsverteilung eine Längsverteilung von Detektionen mit Nullbereichsrate aufweist, die einem Anhänger (14) zugeordnet sind, der von dem Zugfahrzeug gezogen wird;
    wobei die Steuerschaltung ferner konfiguriert ist, um eine Anhängerklassifizierung zu bestimmen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    die Anhängerklassifizierung auf einem Vergleich der in der Steuerschaltung gespeicherten Detektionsverteilungs- und Längsverteilungsmodelle basiert;
    die Anhängerklassifizierung eine Abmessung des Anhängers angibt;
    und die Steuerschaltung konfiguriert ist, um eine Anhängerlänge (16) des Anhängers basierend auf der Detektionsverteilung und der Anhängerklassifizierung zu bestimmen.
  2. System nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Detektionsverteilung in einem endlichen Zeitraum bestimmt wird.
  3. System nach Anspruch 2, wobei der endliche Zeitraum etwa 1 Minute dauert.
  4. System nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Anhängerklassifizierung eine erste Klasse, eine zweite Klasse und eine dritte Klasse umfasst.
  5. System nach Anspruch 4, wobei die erste Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 1 m und 4 m angibt, die zweite Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 4 m und 8 m angibt und die dritte Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 8 Metern und 12 Metern angibt.
  6. System nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Anhängerlänge ferner durch Regressionsmodelle bestimmt wird, die in der Steuerschaltung gespeichert sind.
  7. System nach Anspruch 6, wobei jedes der Regressionsmodelle jeder Anhängerklassifizierung zugeordnet ist.
  8. System nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Detektionsverteilung durch Gruppen von Zielen mit Nullbereichsrate gekennzeichnet ist, die innerhalb aufeinanderfolgender vorbestimmter Längenintervalle detektiert werden, die sich über einen vorbestimmten Abstand hinter dem Zugfahrzeug erstrecken.
  9. System nach Anspruch 8, wobei die vorbestimmten Längenintervalle kleiner oder gleich etwa 0,2 Meter sind.
  10. System nach Anspruch 8, wobei der vorbestimmte Abstand 12 Meter beträgt.
  11. Detektionsverfahren (100), wobei das Verfahren umfasst:
    Detektieren (202) von Objekten in der Nähe eines Zugfahrzeugs mit einer Radareinheit;
    Bestimmen (204) einer Detektionsverteilung basierend auf der Radareinheit mit einer Steuerschaltung in Kommunikation mit der Radareinheit;
    wobei die Detektionsverteilung eine Längsverteilung von Detektionen mit Nullbereichsrate aufweist, die einem Anhänger zugeordnet sind, der von dem Zugfahrzeug gezogen wird;
    Bestimmen (206) einer Anhängerklassifizierung mit der Steuerschaltung,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    die Anhängerklassifizierung auf einem Vergleich der in der Steuerschaltung gespeicherten Detektionsverteilungs- und Längsverteilungsmodelle basiert;
    die Anhängerklassifizierung eine Abmessung des Anhängers angibt; und
    ein Bestimmen (208) einer Anhängerlänge des Anhängers mit der Steuerschaltung auf Basis der Detektionsverteilung und der Anhängerklassifizierung erfolgt.
  12. Verfahren nach Anspruch 11, ferner umfassend den Schritt zum Bestimmen der Detektionsverteilung in einem endlichen Zeitraum.
  13. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 11 oder 12, ferner umfassend den Schritt zum Bestimmen, ob die Anhängerklassifizierung eine erste Klasse, eine zweite Klasse oder eine dritte Klasse ist, wobei die erste Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 1 m und 4 m angibt, die zweite Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 4 m und 8 m angibt und die dritte Klasse Anhänger mit einer Länge zwischen 8 Metern und 12 Metern angibt.
  14. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 11 bis 13, ferner umfassend den Schritt zum Bestimmen der Anhängerlänge durch in der Steuerschaltung gespeicherte Regressionsmodelle.
  15. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 11 bis 14, wobei der Schritt zum Bestimmen der Detektionsverteilung das Detektieren der Gruppen von Detektionen mit Nullbereichsraten innerhalb aufeinanderfolgender vorbestimmter Längenintervalle umfasst, die sich über einen vorbestimmten Abstand hinter dem Zugfahrzeug erstrecken.
