Definitions
- the invention relates to an elastic connecting piece for arrangement between an internal combustion engine and an air filter of a hand-held implement according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a connecting piece with a first channel tube for largely fuel-free air and with a second channel tube for fuel / air mixture, which is arranged between an internal combustion engine and an air filter.
- the channel tubes extend from a first side associated with the internal combustion engine to a second side associated with the air filter of the connecting piece.
- the two duct tubes are guided as separate ducts.
- the elasticity of the connecting piece is sufficiently large to permit relative movements between the internal combustion engine and the air filter in the installed state of the connecting piece without being damaged in the process.
- the two sewer pipes must be individually connected to the respective components of the hand-held implement with which the connecting piece is to be connected.
- the invention has for its object to develop a generic connecting piece such that with good elasticity of the connecting piece, a simple connection of the connecting piece on its second side associated with the air filter is possible.
- Another object of the invention is to further develop a hand-held work tool with a generic connecting piece in such a way that, with good elasticity of the connecting piece, simple connection of the connecting piece with its second side, which is assigned to the air filter, to a component of the working device is possible.
- the invention provides that the first circumferential wall and the second circumferential wall are arranged at a distance from one another in a longitudinal section of the connecting piece and that the first channel tube and the second channel tube open on the second side at a common connecting flange.
- the connection piece When the connection piece is installed, the first side faces the internal combustion engine and the second side faces the air filter. Further components, such as a carburetor, can be arranged between the connecting piece and the air filter.
- the first side is also called the engine side and the second side is also called the air filter side.
- first and the second sewer pipes lead to a common connecting flange on the second side makes it easy to connect the two sewer pipes of the connecting piece to a hand-held implement.
- the two sewer pipes do not have to be individually connected to the hand-held implement, but can be easily and quickly connected to the implement by connecting the common connecting flange.
- the channel tubes each lead to a single flange on both the first side and on the second side, the elasticity of the connecting piece is determined by the spacing of the Channel tubes in the longitudinal section are so large that in the installed state of the connecting piece, a relative movement between the internal combustion engine and the air filter of the hand-held implement is possible without the connecting piece being damaged in the process.
- the component of the implement can be, for example, an air filter, an intermediate component or a carburetor.
- a through opening is expediently formed in the longitudinal section of the connecting piece between the first peripheral wall and the second peripheral wall. This results in a great elasticity of the connecting piece.
- the longitudinal section in which the peripheral walls of the channel tubes are at a distance from one another, advantageously extends up to the motor connection flange.
- the two duct tubes are connected to each other via the motor connection flange.
- the first channel tube has an expansion fold extending in the circumferential direction of the first channel tube.
- the connecting piece when arranged between an internal combustion engine and an air filter of a hand-held implement, can allow comparatively large relative movements between the air filter and the internal combustion engine and, at the same time, be tightly connected to the air filter and the internal combustion engine.
- the expansion fold increases the elasticity of the connecting piece in the direction parallel to the connection surface of the motor connection flange.
- the expansion fold makes it possible to change the absolute length of the first channel tube, measured in the direction perpendicular to a connection surface of the motor connection flange.
- the first channel tube expediently has an expansion fold running in the circumferential direction.
- the second channel tube is intended for the supply of fuel / air mixture. If an expansion fold is arranged in the second channel tube, fuel can collect in this expansion fold and from there enter the internal combustion engine in an uncontrolled manner. This is advantageously prevented by the fact that only the first channel tube has the expansion fold running in the circumferential direction.
- the expansion fold is expediently arranged in the longitudinal section.
- the expansion fold can advantageously extend over the entire circumference of the first channel tube.
- the movements of the channel tubes are decoupled from one another to a limited extent, so that a change in length of the second channel tube is only slightly influenced by the first channel tube and the mobility provided by the expansion fold is not restricted by the first channel tube.
- the distance between the peripheral walls measured in the direction parallel to a connection surface of the motor connection flange, starting from a center of the expansion fold, is at least 5% of a height of the motor connection flange.
- a first wall thickness of the first channel tube in a first area of the expansion fold is smaller than a second wall thickness of the first channel tube in a second area of the first channel tube adjacent to the expansion fold.
- the expansion fold is expediently arranged closer to the engine side than to the air filter side.
- the expansion fold advantageously runs completely around the first channel tube.
- the expansion fold protrudes into the through opening.
- the second channel tube has a third area with a third wall thickness and a fourth area with a fourth wall thickness.
- the third wall thickness is advantageously smaller than the fourth wall thickness.
- the third region of the second channel tube is expediently arranged in the longitudinal section of the connecting piece, in which the first peripheral wall and the second peripheral wall are arranged at a distance from one another.
- the connecting piece can have great elasticity, particularly in the longitudinal section.
- the third region is advantageously arranged closer to the engine side than to the air filter side.
- Fig. 1 shows a schematic side view of a hand-held implement 1.

- largely fuel-free air is drawn in via the overflow windows 49 and 50 into the overflow channels 47 and 48 via the piston pockets 60 from the first channel tube 10.
- the fuel / air mixture in the crankcase 46 is compressed.
- the upstream largely fuel-free air and then the fuel / air mixture flow through the overflow channels 47 and 48 into the combustion chamber 43.
- the mixture in the combustion chamber 43 compressed and ignited by a spark plug 61 in the area of the top dead center of the piston 42.
- the spark plug 61 advantageously projects into the combustion chamber 43. Because of the combustion, the piston 42 is accelerated toward the crankcase 46. As soon as the outlet 51 is opened by the piston 42, the exhaust gases can escape from the combustion chamber 43. Then largely fuel-free air flows through the overflow channels 47 and 48 into the combustion chamber 43, which separates the exhaust gases escaping from the outlet 51 from the fresh mixture flowing in.

Abstract
Description

Fig. 1 und 2 ).
Fig. 3 dargestellt.
