Definitions
- the invention relates to a skimmer for a pool, in particular a swimming pool, with a housing with at least one inlet opening located at the level of the liquid level in the pool wall, framed by a screen, and with a skimmer basket, under which a drain connection connected to a pump is arranged, so that the water flowing into the inlet opening flows through the skimmer basket into the drain socket.
- Skimmers are used to suck up dirt from the water surface in garden ponds or swimming pools or other liquid containers. Particularly in pools that are outdoors, dust, leaves, oils or other soiling lead to the pool water being enriched with many nutrients from the outside and the water becoming cloudy due to the formation of algae. This can be effectively prevented by using a skimmer.
- Skimmers installed in swimming pools are usually connected to a pump and a filter device so that the water removed from the pool via the skimmer can be cleaned and returned to the pool after being filtered.
- the water outflow via the skimmer is controlled by a weir, which is usually pivoted.
- the existing skimmer and the recirculation system equipped with a pump work satisfactorily, provided that it is ensured that the skimmer basket, which serves as a catcher for coarse particles such as leaves, is emptied in good time so that no blockage occurs.
- the DE 19 15 685 U describes an overflow box for installation in the overflow openings of the swimming pool, with a catch basket that can be introduced into the overflow box from the pool side, which also supports a known, pivotable overflow flap that is used for surface cleaning of the pool water, float-controlled from the inside level of the box contents and is appropriately hinged in the area of the catch basket frame is.
- Angle rails are welded to the inner surfaces of the enclosed side walls, which serve to support and guide a collecting basket to be pushed into the box.
- the essentially rectangular box has an inclined bottom piece formed on its bottom side, at the lower end of which a connecting piece is provided, to which a suction line can be connected.
- the US 2004/0074831 A1 describes a swimming pool prefilter which is arranged completely or at least partially flush within a skimmer system.
- This filter which is followed by a swimming weir and a collecting basket, can have a telescopic structure and / or a flexible frame that is equally capable, flexible and / or foldable. The filter is pushed into a designated opening from the pool side and fixed to the pool wall.
- the skimmer basket be directly or indirectly mounted on a roller guide and horizontally movable in the direction of the pool and back. This measure changes the location of the removal from the top of the pool edge into the area of the pool wall relocated. For cleaning, the skimmer basket is pulled out of the pool wall until it is easy to remove. Tilting or jamming of the skimmer basket during removal is practically impossible. In particular, the removal of the skimmer basket is made much easier because the skimmer basket with this construction only has to be pulled out like a drawer and then removed.
- the guide for the skimmer basket is an easy-running roller guide that provides the least resistance compared to a sliding guide.
- the skimmer basket is preferably mounted or suspended in a frame which can be guided out of the skimmer housing via the rollers, after which the externally exposed skimmer basket can be removed manually.
- a frame facilitates handling.
- the frame preferably has a vertical front surface which simultaneously serves as a pool wall part and which can be moved towards the interior of the pool in order to remove the skimmer basket.
- the vertical front surface also serves as a cover, which can also be optically integrated into the pool wall design with the appropriate choice of materials.
- the skimmer basket or the frame is preferably detachably fastened in the position introduced into the skimmer housing on the skimmer housing by means of a snap or latch connection.
- a snap or latch connection provides a position-defined fixing of the skimmer basket in the skimmer.
- the latching or snap connection can also be designed as a push-roll tractor (touch-latch system).
- a push-roll tractor touch-latch system
- Such systems are known in other prior art applications, for example in furniture drawers.
- the user In order to expose the skimmer basket, the user only needs to exert a slight pressure on the front side and then release the front side so that the existing lock is released and the basket or the trolley is released for pulling out.
- a simpler spring locking device can also be used, which preferably has a link guide with respective bevels of the elastic link guides in both directions of movement. After overcoming the respective approach slope, a coupling thickening falls into the area of the drainage slope.
- a skimmer 11 is installed below a pool edge stone 10, which has an upper inlet opening 12 and a second inlet opening 13 underneath, which into an upper one Open into the skimmer cavity 14.
- the position of the second lower inlet opening is chosen so that it is always below the surface of the water, taking into account the fluctuations in the level of the liquid in the basin.
- the second inlet opening cannot be closed by other parts such as the weir 16, so that malfunctions as a result of an unintentionally jammed weir are excluded.
- the second inlet opening is above the uppermost edge of the skimmer basket, so that water that is sucked in or drained off via the second inlet opening must also run through the skimmer basket.
- the skimmer is covered by a panel 15 in the area of the inlet openings mentioned.
- a floating weir 16 is pivotably articulated on the edge of the skimmer housing, wherein the pivoting positions can be between a vertical position and a horizontal position.
- the water surface is indicated as a wave 17.
- the floating weir 16 is pivoted differently depending on the hydrostatic pressure and the suction effect from the pump (not shown).
- the housing 18 leads via a conical taper to a skimmer basket 19, which is suspended or inserted in an indentation 20 so that the water flowing down through the perforated skimmer basket 19 or drawn off by means of a pump must always pass through the skimmer basket.
- the skimmer basket is suspended in a frame 20 designed as a carriage.
- This carriage has a front wall 25 designed as a vertical front surface, which can be pulled out together with the frame 20 in the direction of arrow 23, that is, in the direction of the basin.
- the frame is preferably mounted on rollers 27 which roll in roller guides. If necessary, the frame 20 can be guided on telescopic rails.
- a pressure roller catch or a latching device which fixes the carriage in the position shown.
- the carriage 20 is pulled out in the direction of arrow 23, for which purpose the in Fig. 2 indicated handle bottles 28 are used.
- the skimmer basket is pulled out until the basket 19 is exposed in the basin, where it can then be removed from above. After cleaning or emptying the skimmer basket 19, it is hung back into the carriage, which is then pushed back into the opening provided. Seals 24 can be provided around the front wall 25 in order to prevent foreign particles from penetrating into the cavity located behind.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
Fig. 2 angedeuteten Eingriffflaschen 28 dienen. -
