Definitions

  • the invention relates to a packaging insert for forming a lattice web according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
  • Grids are used to separate individual objects such as bottles, vials, etc. in packaging and serve to securely and motionlessly hold the objects and in particular to protect them from damage or breakage.
  • Known grid webs are composed of individual strips of a suitable material such as cardboard, which have slots and are connected to one another by plugging them on. Such a grid is then inserted into the packaging, either before or after the packaging is filled with the individual items. However, it has been shown that such grid bars are not satisfactory in terms of handling.
  • the grille is usually delivered flat and must first be unfolded, although depending on the design of the grille, the unfolding must be done by hand.
  • the known grid bars tend to be incorrectly aligned, which makes it difficult or even impossible to load the packaging.
  • a possible course of events envisages that the lattice bar is first opened and pushed into the packaging, with the individual objects then being placed in the respective receptacles of the lattice bar be introduced. Machine loading of the packaging may not be possible if the individual strips of the grid are not correctly aligned.
  • the packaging is first filled with the individual items and then the opened grid bar is pushed into the packaging.
  • the opened grid bar is pushed into the packaging.
  • US 4067492 A which forms the basis for the preamble of current claim 1, a cardboard box for transport purposes.
  • the box consists of two separating elements that interlock to form a U-shaped structure so that they divide the box into several compartments.
  • the pastry mold divider is made of plastic or sheet metal, preferably stainless steel sheet, with at least two main parts that can be inserted into one another in a grid shape.
  • the packaging insert according to the invention for forming a lattice web comprises a carrier blank which is used to form of parallel partition walls erected with respect to a base surface of the carrier blank by folding and / or folding.
  • Such carrier blanks are already known from the prior art, for example from EP 1733973 A1 the applicant, and have parallel partition walls which are prism-shaped and are connected to one another by flat areas.
  • the flat areas define a base area of the carrier cut.
  • the base surface is often connected to a flat surface, for example by gluing.
  • the substrate can be designed, for example, as a carrier plate or as the bottom of a box-shaped packaging.
  • the packaging insert according to the invention further comprises at least one insert blank, which is designed to form walls erected with respect to a base surface of the insert blank by folding and / or folding.
  • the carrier blank has incisions which, when the partitions are erected, form slots which extend from a vertex of the partition, i.e. from the highest point of the partition, in the direction of the base of the carrier blank, essentially perpendicular to the base.
  • a wall whose thickness corresponds to the slot width and is inserted into the slot is essentially perpendicular to the base surface.
  • the insert blank has openings which are designed and arranged in such a way that when the walls of the insert blank are erected, the openings of the insert blank form receiving areas for the partition walls.
  • the insert blank can be plugged onto the partitions in such a way that the receiving areas enclose the partitions on both sides and the slots in the partitions accommodate the wall.
  • the slots are therefore designed to accommodate walls of the insert blank. Their orientation essentially perpendicular to the base area ensures that the walls of the insert blank are also arranged essentially perpendicular to the base area of the separating blank when the walls are received by the slots. This also ensures that the grid web formed with it is stable.
  • the openings of the insert blank enable the insert blank to be plugged onto the partition walls of the carrier blank and preferably also serve as an insertion and centering aid so that the insert blank can be positioned correctly on the partition walls.
  • the erected partitions have a substantially triangular cross section.
  • a substantially triangular cross section is particularly preferred, as it allows the distances between two adjacent receiving troughs, which are delimited by the partitions, can be reduced, while a cushioning effect for the contents is achieved by the cavity created between the two layers forming a partition.
  • the carrier blank is provided at the transition between the base area and the partition with two parallel folding and/or fold lines in such a way that when the partitions are erected and preferably when the insert blank is attached, a chamfer is formed at the transition between the base area and the partition.
  • the bevel allows a space-saving design of the packaging insert, since the distances between two adjacent receiving troughs, which are delimited by the partitions, can be reduced if the cavity created between the two layers forming a partition is reduced to a minimum.
  • the carrier blank and the insert blank are preferably matched to one another in such a way that the bevel is only formed after the insert blank has been attached.
  • the partition walls of the carrier blank are first erected by only folding them at the fold or fold line adjacent to the bottom section. The resulting partition wall proves to be particularly stable. By appropriately dimensioning the openings that form the receiving areas of the insert blank, both layers of the partition can then be moved together after which the second fold or fold line is also bent and the bevel is formed.
  • the support blank is provided with cutouts, which form an opening in the partition when the partitions are erected.
  • Such cutouts allow the formation of troughs in the partition, which are designed to hold objects.
  • the cutouts have a parabolic shape, with the apex of the parabola facing away from the fold or fold line between the base surface and the partition.
  • the cutout also runs straight along the fold or crease line.
  • a receiving trough can thus be provided which is suitable for holding objects and supports the objects, e.g. bottles, bottles, vials and the like, laterally.
  • objects can be accommodated in a space-saving manner, since the entire thickness of the partition wall does not separate objects arranged adjacently.
  • the incisions in the carrier blank are preferably shaped in such a way that when the partition walls are erected, a taper of the slot is formed from the apex of the partition wall in the direction of the base area.
  • the tapering of the slots makes it easier and easier to insert the wall of the insert blank into the slot.
  • the taper can be formed by a straight or a curved line.
  • the insert blank When the walls are erected, the insert blank preferably has a substantially U-shaped cross section with a flat section, which corresponds to a base area, and two walls attached to it. It goes without saying that this cross section is only visible in a plane that does not intersect the recording areas.
  • Such a cross section is particularly preferred because it makes handling the insert blank easier.
  • the insert blank can in particular be erected by machine and then mechanically attached to the carrier blank by holding the insert blank on the base surface, for example by suction heads.
  • a U-shaped cross section also refers to a repetition of several U-shaped cross sections which are arranged next to one another. Such a repetition occurs, for example, when the insert blanks are hinged to one another at the end of a wall facing away from the base area.
  • the openings of the insert blank preferably have tapered areas which, when the walls are erected, form essentially prism-shaped receiving areas, preferably with a substantially triangular cross section.
  • Prism-shaped receiving areas in particular with a substantially triangular cross section, are particularly suitable for attaching to the carrier blank.
  • the tapered area enables easy, if necessary mechanical, handling of the erected insert blank.
  • a clamping effect can be created by suitable selection of the dimensions of the opening, so that the partition walls of the carrier blank are at least partially held in a force-fitting manner by the tapered area.
  • the grid web formed with this proves to be particularly stable.
  • the insert blank is preferably provided at the transition between the base area and the wall with two parallel fold and/or fold lines in such a way that when the walls are erected, a chamfer is formed at the transition between the base area and the wall.
  • the carrier blank and the insert blank are preferably coordinated with one another in such a way that when the insert blank is attached, the base area of the insert blank is placed on the base area of the carrier blank.
  • a wall of an insert blank attached to the partition walls preferably forms a side wall of the packaging insert.
  • the partitions each have four slots so that two or three insert blanks can be inserted into them.
  • the walls of the insert blanks are inserted into the slots and the ends of the partitions remain free.
  • three insert blanks are used, one insert blank is inserted into the middle slots. The remaining two insert blanks are then inserted with one wall each into the still free slot of the partitions, with the other wall remaining free, resting against the end of the partition and thus being able to form a side wall of the packaging insert.
  • the support blank is preferably provided with at least one recess, which forms a locking opening in the partition when the partitions are erected, at least one opening of the insert blank being provided with a protruding locking lug, which can be snapped into the locking opening when the insert blank is placed on the partitions.
  • the insert blank can only be separated from the carrier blank by removing the latching connection and/or by damaging the latching opening and/or the latching lug.
  • the carrier blank and/or the insert blank are preferably made from cardboard, cardboard, plastic or from a laminate made from cardboard and/or cardboard and/or plastic.
  • the invention further relates to an insert blank for forming a lattice web, in particular a lattice web as described above.
  • the insert blank is designed to form walls that are erected with respect to a base area of the insert blank by folding and/or folding and can be attached to a carrier blank that is designed to form parallel partition walls that are erected with respect to a base area of the carrier blank by folding and/or folding.
  • the carrier blank has incisions which, when the partitions are erected, form slots which extend from a vertex of the partition in the direction of the base area of the carrier blank essentially perpendicular to the base area.
  • the insert blank has openings which are designed and arranged in such a way that when the walls of the insert blank are erected, the openings of the insert blank form receiving areas for the partitions, the insert blank being able to be plugged onto the partition walls when the walls are erect and aligned perpendicular to the partitions in such a way that the receiving areas enclose the partitions on both sides and the slots in the partitions accommodate the wall.
  • the invention further relates to a method for forming a grid web from a packaging insert, in particular a packaging insert as described above.
  • the invention further relates to a packaging insert for forming an alternative embodiment of a grid web.
  • the packaging insert comprises a carrier blank, which is used to form a base area of the carrier blank erected, parallel partitions are formed by folding and/or folding.
  • the carrier blank is preferably a carrier blank as described above, so that all training and developments described with regard to the carrier blank according to the invention can also be applied to the alternative packaging insert according to the invention.
  • the carrier blank has incisions which, when the partition walls are erected, form slots which extend from a vertex of the partition wall in the direction of the base area of the carrier blank essentially perpendicular to the base area and is provided with at least one recess, which forms a locking opening in the partition wall when the partition walls are erected .
  • the packaging insert further comprises a flat wall element, the wall element having openings which form receiving areas for the partitions, at least one opening of the wall element being provided with a protruding locking lug.
  • the wall element can be plugged onto the partition walls perpendicular to the partition walls in such a way that the receiving areas enclose the partition walls on both sides and the slots in the partition walls accommodate the wall element, the locking lug of the wall element being able to snap into the locking opening when the wall element is plugged onto the partition walls.
  • the wall element is preferably double-walled. This is preferably done by folding and/or folding along a line, which faces the base of the support blank when the wall element is attached.
  • the partition 4 is made by folding and/or folding a flat blank on the lines 13 (which can be designed as a fold line or fold line) and on the line defined by the apex 10 of the partition 4 and by erecting the partition 4 with respect to a base area 3 of the Carrier blank 2 is formed.
  • Partition 4 shown has a substantially rectangular, triangular cross section.
  • the partition 4 of the Figure 2 however, has the cross section of an isosceles triangle.
  • the cross section is also essentially triangular, with two fold and/or fold lines 13 and 14 being formed at the transition between the base surface 3 and the partition 4, which cause the formation of a chamfer 15.
  • the partition 4 When erecting the partition 4, it is initially only bent at the fold or fold line 13, so that the partition 4 has a substantially triangular cross section, as in the Figure 2 shown. The partition 4 can thus be erected stably.
  • both layers of the partition 4 are then pressed together by the insert blank 5, after which the partition 4 is also folded along the fold or fold line 14.
  • the partition wall 4 can thus be erected stably and then moved together of the two layers, the space required by the packaging insert can be reduced to a minimum.

  • the offset generated essentially by the S-shaped course of the incision 8 ensures that when the partition 4 is erected, the two end regions of the opening formed by the incision 8 only partially overlap and form a slot 9 running perpendicular to the line 10.
  • both end regions of the incisions 8 also ensures that when the partition 4 is erected, the slot 9 is formed by only one layer of the carrier blank. This allows the edge of the slot 9 to remain flexible and to have a “sealing lip” effect.
