Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for the surface treatment of a continuous material, such as a welding wire, in particular for surface cleaning, with a conveyor line for the continuous material, in which this is conveyed through the device in the direction of its longitudinal axis.
- the invention also relates to a method for the surface treatment of an endless material, such as a welding wire, in particular for surface cleaning, and the use of a device for this purpose.
- Endless materials in the form of metallic wires or strips are produced, for example, by drawing processes.
- the endless material is cold-formed to the desired cross-sectional dimension.
- wet drawing the continuous material to be formed is wetted with drawing agent, for example in the form of a water-oil emulsion or oil, in order to reduce friction in the drawing tool, to cool the material and to reduce work hardening. After the pull, the material is usually cleaned and the pulling agent removed.
- the DE 102 12 436 A1 discloses a device for the treatment of strand-like metallic material, in particular strip or wire, which is passed continuously in the vertical direction through a treatment chamber of the device.
- a selection of the treatments electrolytic coating, electrolytic cleaning or chemical pickling takes place on the metallic material when passing the treatment chamber, in which the working chamber is at least partially filled with a fluid, and that the Device has quick-change connections for modular treatment elements that are suitable for carrying out the selected treatment.
- a disadvantage of known galvanic devices and methods is that they are usually only set up for a certain type of treatment of the surface and a change in the type of treatment the surface is associated with a large conversion effort.
- the effect of galvanic treatments is limited to the galvanic processes taking place and the process speeds or costs are determined by their available framework conditions.
- DE 10 2010 008 790 A1 which forms the basis for the preamble of claim 1, discloses an apparatus and a method for cleaning and drying continuous profiles.
- the profiles are guided through a laterally open nozzle holder on which nozzles, in particular rotary nozzles, are arranged, which are directed in the direction of the centrally guided profile.
- the fluid flow emitted by the nozzles is set in rotation, as a result of which the impurities or other dirt adhering to the profile are advantageously loosened.
- the profile is held by the fluid flows in such a way that it is guided approximately centrally through the nozzle holder.
- DE 201 10 009 U1 discloses a device for cleaning the surface of a wire, which is drawn to the desired diameter by means of a drawing device and subsequently refined with, for example, a galvanic finishing device, a device being arranged between the drawing device and the finishing device which has a guide for the wire passing through and the at least has a washing device at the wire inlet and a drying device at the wire outlet, the washing device being designed as a separate chamber of the device, in particular at the wire outlet end of which a spray nozzle for cleaning liquid is provided, by means of which the passing wire can be sprayed preferably against the wire transport direction and can thus be cleaned, and wherein the drying device is designed as a separate chamber of the device, in particular at the wire outlet end of which a compressed air-fed air nozzle is arranged, by means of which the flow Fende wire is preferably dryable against the wire transport direction.

- a device according to claim 1. Also disclosed is a method for surface treatment of a continuous material, in particular for surface cleaning, in which the continuous material in the direction of its longitudinal axis through a conveyor line of a device for surface treatment, in particular a device according to the invention , is conveyed, and is acted upon by a fluid jet via at least one high pressure nozzle, the fluid jet executing an oscillating movement relative to a nozzle axis that runs from an outlet opening of the high pressure nozzle to the continuous material, in particular a precession movement around the nozzle axis.
- the invention relates to a use of a device according to the invention, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 8, for the production of highly clean surfaces of a metallic continuous material and / or a use of a device according to the invention, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 8, in the production a welding wire.
- the nozzle axis can in particular intersect the outlet opening of the high pressure nozzle and the longitudinal axis of the continuous material essentially in the middle and is that axis in the direction of which the jet would leave the nozzle without oscillating movement.
- endless material in the context of the present description of the invention does not mean that the material is actually endless, that is, has no beginning and no end, but rather refers to material which, with any cross-sectional shape, such as circular, oval, elliptical, polygonal, in particular rectangular, has a length which is great relative to its respective cross-sectional dimensions.
- An endless material in the context of the invention is to be understood in particular as a metallic endless material, for example in the form of a metal wire or metal strip, in particular a welding wire. Such endless material is usually wound up on rolls or spools after its production and is supplied to its respective use in this way.
- a surface treatment within the meaning of the invention is to be understood as meaning, for example, cleaning, pickling or etching of the material surface.
- the aim of the treatments can above all be to clean the material surface in advance of subsequent treatment steps or to improve the corrosion resistance.
- the invention can serve to remove functional coatings applied to the material in advance of cold forming, such as a zinc phosphate and / or zinc-calcium-phosphate layer to reduce the coefficient of friction, from the surface after forming, in particular before a possibly subsequent coating step.
- the device and the method according to the invention are particularly advantageously suitable for use in the course of modern in-line systems, with the material being able to be cleaned in a continuous cycle quickly and efficiently in direct connection with cold forming.
- the device according to the invention can be used in particular after a wire / strip drawing device and / or before a surface finishing / Coating device be arranged.
- Such an arrangement is particularly suitable for the production of drawn steel wires with a refined surface, for example copper-plated.
- the device according to the invention is preferably itself designed as a continuous system. It has, on the one hand, an inlet and, on the other hand, an outlet for the continuous material conveyed through the device via the conveying path from the inlet to the outlet.

- the fluid forming the fluid jet can in particular be a liquid, a plurality of solids, for example in the form of powder, grinding powder, polishing powder, etc., or a liquid mixed with solids.
- the fluid is preferably water, oil, an emulsion or the like.
- abrasively effective particles can be added to the fluid as solid bodies, which make it easier to remove adhesions or layers on the continuous material.
- a particular advantage of the invention is that the fluid jet hits the surface of the endless material to be cleaned while executing an oscillating movement, in particular a precession movement. Such a movement firstly causes better cleaning of the surface in that particles are torn from the surface, and secondly it ensures that the entire surface is reached by the fluid jet.
- the high-pressure nozzle is arranged relative to the conveyor line in such a way that the nozzle axis is oriented at an angle ⁇ between approx. 25 ° and approx. 65 °, preferably between approx. 35 ° and approx. 55 °, more preferably approx. 45 ° to the longitudinal axis of the continuous material is.
- a fluid jet impinging at such an angle advantageously has a particularly good cleaning effect, since the energy of the jet can be used particularly efficiently.
- the high-pressure nozzle is arranged relative to the conveying path in such a way that the fluid jet has a movement component which is opposite to the conveying direction of the endless material through the conveying path. In this way, the relative speed of the fluid jet impinging on the material is increased and the cleaning effect can be improved.
- the device comprises a plurality of high-pressure nozzles which are arranged one behind the other in the direction of the conveying path (in series).
- Such an arrangement is extremely efficient, since the surface of the endless material can be cleaned in stages. In an advantageous manner, particularly high conveying speeds of the endless material can be run, with cleaning of the intended quality being ensured.
- You can also use the different nozzles different cleaning agents or fluids are applied to the plurality of high-pressure nozzles, for example first a water jet on the inlet side and then oil solvent or fluid mixed with abrasive particles.
- the device can comprise a plurality of high-pressure nozzles which are arranged next to one another in the radial direction around the conveying path. With nozzles arranged differently from the continuous material in the radial direction, cleaning on all sides of the continuous material can be ensured with particular advantage.
- the high-pressure nozzle can be rotated around the conveying path. Good cleaning on all sides can thus be achieved using a small number of high-pressure nozzles.
- the cleaning effect of the rotating high-pressure jet can be increased even further by the additional rotation component.
- the device can have a heating device for a fluid which forms the fluid jet.
- the high-pressure fluid is preferably heated to a temperature of approx. 50 ° C to a maximum of approx. 95 ° C, preferably from approx. 65 ° C to a maximum of approx. 90 ° C, more preferably to a maximum of approx.
- Such a fluid temperature can advantageously lower the viscosity of the lubricant used when drawing the continuous material and adhering to it, which further increases the cleaning efficiency.
- the device can also comprise a pump in order to generate a fluid jet with a pressure in a range from 100 bar to 180 bar, preferably from 120 bar to 170 bar, particularly preferably from approx. 160 bar.
- a pump in order to generate a fluid jet with a pressure in a range from 100 bar to 180 bar, preferably from 120 bar to 170 bar, particularly preferably from approx. 160 bar.

Description
