Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device and a method for separating and sorting double pages for a book-shaped identity document, document of value or security document.
  • the invention further relates to a method and system for producing a book-shaped identity document, document of value or security document.
  • Book-shaped identity documents, documents of value or security documents, for example passports, consist of a cover and a passport book block protected by the cover, which has personal and / or document-specific information.
  • the passport book block has several double pages and a data card.
  • the data card is, for example, a plastic or paper-based card on which personal and / or document-specific information such as a passport photo, name or address of the user or an identification number is applied, in particular also in machine-readable form.
  • the double pages can contain further person- and / or document-specific information or, for example, be designed as visa pages for receiving visa stamps.
  • the ID, value or security document, in particular the data card can have a chip on which personal and / or document-specific information is stored.
  • a flexible tab is provided on one edge of the data card.
  • the flap is sewn along a seam to the double pages as well as a cover sheet enclosing the double pages and the data card to form the passport book block.
  • a lap band is usually provided along the seam.
  • Such book-shaped identification, value or security documents are for example in the WO 2005/120858 A1 and DE10 2015 203006 A1 disclosed.
  • the documents are usually produced by assembling and sewing the passport book block. Then the passport book block is glued to the cover and the resulting passport book blank is folded.
  • the double pages of the passport book block are created from a sheet of paper that is printed and / or personalized and then cut into several double pages. The resulting double pages are then put together in a stack.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a device and a method for separating and sorting double pages for a book-shaped identity document, document of value or security document, which enables the double pages to be individually sorted.
  • the object of the invention is furthermore to provide a method and a system for producing a book-shaped identity document, security document or security document, which enable an individual production of a book-shaped identity document, security document or security document.
  • Embodiments of the invention are particularly advantageous since the device according to the invention or the method according to the invention can be used to sort the provided double pages quickly and individually.
  • the double pages are usually produced from one or more sheets of paper, it being possible for the double pages to be personalized and / or printed before they are cut.
  • the sheet of paper is then divided lengthways and crossways into several double pages, which are provided next to one another and one behind the other.
  • the printing or the personalization takes place before the cutting, since the handling of the entire sheet of paper is simpler, in particular in the case of double-sided printing, in which the sheet of paper has to be turned over completely or in sections.
  • Printing is preferably carried out in the edge area of the paper sheet. In particular when printing on both sides, the entire sheet of paper does not have to be turned over. However, this means that the double pages are provided side by side and one behind the other in any sorting.
  • the device according to the invention enables simple sorting of the double pages provided in any order that is specified.
  • the sequence of the double pages is determined, with each double page being assigned to a file.
  • the storage assemblies are then moved in such a way that the shelves that are assigned to the respective front double pages, i.e. the double pages closest to the storage assemblies, are located with their receiving openings at the level of the transfer device and the front double pages are sorted into the respective shelves. This process is then repeated for the following double pages.
  • the double pages can be output to the collecting device via the output openings, the double pages sorted into a tray assembly each forming a double-page stack.
  • the double-sided stacks can then be pushed together by the collecting device to form a double-sided stack.
  • Sorting can take place both when sorting the double pages into the shelves and when outputting the double pages to the collecting device, so that any sorting of the double pages within a double-page stack can be achieved.
  • an “ID, value or security document” is understood to mean a paper and / or plastic-based document on which person-specific and / or document-specific information is applied in an optically legible manner, identifying the user or the document, for example for approval and use of certain services or functions.
  • the document can also be a voucher or an access card.
  • the document can have a chip or other electronic components, in particular for storing person-specific and / or document-specific information.
  • a “data card” is understood to mean a paper or plastic-based card arranged in a book block of an identity document, value or security document, on which person-specific and / or document-specific information is applied in an optically readable manner that identifies the user or the document, for example for the release and use of certain services or functions.
  • the data card can be a chip or other have electronic components, in particular for the storage of person-specific and / or document-specific information.
  • the storage device or the storage assemblies can be moved in such a way that the output openings of the individual shelves are each arranged in a plane with the flat support of the transfer device and can be moved in such a way that the output openings are at the level of the collecting device,
  • the control is configured to assign the individual double pages to the individual shelves as a function of a defined or received sorting sequence, the control activating the storage device or the storage assemblies in such a way that the shelves assigned to the front double pages in the transport direction are in one level with the flat Support of the transfer device.
  • the storage assemblies can be moved as desired in order to move the receiving openings at the level of the transfer device or the output openings at the level of the collecting device.
  • the storage assemblies can be linearly movable.
  • the storage assemblies are mounted pivotably about a pivot axis and are arranged next to one another, in particular immediately adjacent, in the direction of the pivot axis.
  • the pivot axis is provided on the side of the storage device facing the collecting device.
  • the shelves are arranged in the circumferential direction with respect to the pivot axis, so that a space-saving arrangement of the shelves can be achieved.
  • the shelves can each have a holding device for the double pages.
  • the holding device fixes the double pages after they have been sorted so that they are securely held in the shelves until they are output to the collecting device.
  • the storage assemblies can be movable, in particular pivotable, separately from one another.
  • the respective front double pages can, for example, be assigned to different shelves of the respective shelf assembly. Since the assemblies are movable separately from one another, the storage assemblies can be pivoted individually so that the storage areas of each storage assembly assigned to the front double pages are located in one plane with the flat support of the transfer device.
  • the storage assemblies can also be coupled to one another, in particular connected to one another. In this embodiment, only one drive is required for the storage device, whereby the control effort is reduced.
  • the storage device can be made more compact. If, in such an embodiment, the respective front double pages are assigned to different shelves of the respective shelf assembly, a double page whose assigned shelf is located on the same level as the flat support of the transfer device is sorted in. The coupled storage assemblies are then pivoted in such a way that the storage area assigned to a next front double page is located in a plane with the flat support of the transfer device and this double page is sorted. This process is carried out for each double page, with several front double pages also being able to be sorted in at the same time if the associated trays of the double pages are at the same time in one plane with the flat support of the transfer device.
  • the transfer device can have transport means for feeding the separated double pages to the shelves, the transport means being, in particular, grippers that are assigned to the individual shelf assemblies.
  • the means of transport enable the double pages to be sorted quickly and reliably into the shelves.
  • the double pages can be moved into the shelves in the transport direction as well as moved transversely to the transport direction if the storage assemblies are arranged at a distance from one another transversely to the transport direction.
  • the storage assemblies each have a common output opening for the storage areas, for example.
  • the dispensing opening can be arranged in such a way that it is always at the level of the collecting device.
  • the storage assembly can also have separate output openings for each storage.
  • the storage assemblies are pivoted in such a way that the output opening of a storage area for outputting the double page from this storage area is at the level of the collecting device.
  • the double pages can be removed from the shelves by aligning them so that the double pages can fall out of the shelves.
  • Holding devices can be provided in the shelves which are deactivated for removing the double pages.
  • means for removing the double pages from the shelves can also be provided at the output openings in order to ensure that the double pages can be removed reliably and quickly from the shelves.
  • the collecting device preferably has collecting trays for receiving the double pages from the depositing device, a collecting deposit being assigned to each depositing assembly.
  • the collecting trays can accommodate the double pages output from a deposit assembly, the double pages being output from the trays into the collecting trays in a predetermined order, so that the double pages collected in a deposit assembly are arranged in a predetermined order in a double-sided stack in the respective collecting tray .
  • the collecting device can also have means for collating the double pages from the collecting trays.
  • the individual double-sided stacks in the collecting trays are brought together by these means to form a stack in which the double-sided pages are sorted in a predetermined order.
  • the double pages are usually made from a sheet of paper.
  • the feed device has, for example, a first and a second cutting device in order to cut such paper sheets into double pages.
  • the feeding device is configured to receive a sheet of paper and the cutting devices to cut the sheet of paper into individual double pages.
  • the cutting directions of the cutting devices run perpendicular to one another, with a first cutting direction running in the transport direction and a second cutting direction transverse to the transport direction.
  • a sheet of paper can thus be divided into several double pages in the transport direction and transversely to the transport direction.
  • the number of double pages lying next to one another in the transport direction corresponds at most to the number of storage assemblies.
  • the cutting device is designed so that this number of double pages can be created and an edge of the paper sheet can optionally be removed.
  • the cutting devices have, for example, a plurality of knives, in particular roller knives, the cutting directions of the knives of a cutting device each running parallel to one another.
  • only one knife can be provided that is moved relative to the sheet of paper in order to make several cuts one after the other.
  • a printing device can be provided for one-sided or two-sided printing of paper sheets in order to print document-specific and / or person-specific information on the paper sheets.
  • the data card, the passport book block, a passport book blank and / or the ID, value or security document are transported between the devices in a more isolated manner, with an assignment of the respective data card, passport book block, passport book blank and / or the ID, value or or security document to the individual parts list created by the recognition device.
  • Double pages lying next to one another can be moved together into the respective assigned shelves of the respective storage assemblies, the respective shelves being moved so that they are at the level of the transfer device. If the storage assemblies are coupled to one another and can only be moved together, the double pages, which are each at the front in the transport direction and whose associated storage is in a plane with the level support of the transfer device, can be sorted in at the same time.
  • the storage assemblies can also be movable, in particular pivotable, separately from one another, the storage assemblies being moved, in particular pivoted, separately from one another for receiving the double pages.
  • Each assembly can be moved in such a way that the shelf assigned to the respective front double page is in a plane with the flat support of the transfer device, so that all front double pages can be sorted simultaneously regardless of their assignment to the respective shelves.
  • the double pages are preferably fed to the shelves by means of transport, in particular grippers.
  • the double pages can be removed from the shelves by means for removing the double pages from the shelves, in particular with grippers, whereby a reliable and quick removal of the double pages from the shelves is ensured.
  • Holding devices can be provided in the shelves. After sorting, the double pages can be held in the respective tray by the holding devices, the holding devices being deactivated when the double pages are removed through the output openings. This ensures that the double pages are removed from the shelves at the desired time.
  • the shelves can also be pivoted or moved in such a way that the double pages fall out of the shelves. In such an embodiment, it must be ensured that the sheets do not fall from the trays at the wrong time. This is ensured by the holding devices.
  • the holding devices can be deactivated in a predetermined order, so that the double pages get from the shelves into the collecting device in a predetermined order.
  • the double sheets of a deposit assembly are each deposited in a collecting tray of the collecting device assigned to the respective deposit assembly in a double-sided stack.
  • the adhesive is supplied, for example, on the carrier film as a continuous material, the width of the adhesive layer corresponding to a required width, the carrier film essentially corresponding to the width of the cover, and the adhesive layer being cut to the required length on the carrier film before heating to the activation temperature becomes.
  • This ensures that the adhesive layer has the dimensions required for the respective identity document, valuable document or security document.
  • it is possible to react to different dimensions of the identity document, value document or security document by cutting immediately before sticking on, so that identity document, value document or security document with different dimensions can be produced.
  • the carrier film with the adhesive layer is preferably guided in one transport direction onto a flat support, the adhesive layer being applied to the inside of the cover on the support, the length of the support essentially corresponding to the length of the required length of the adhesive layer, and wherein the support has rounded edges at its front and rear edge in the transport direction, the carrier film being guided over the rounded edges. Due to the rounded edges of the support, the carrier film in front of and behind the section that carries the adhesive layer to be applied is pulled downwards so that only the cut-to-size adhesive layer lies on the support and when the cover is put on it comes into contact with it and adheres to it can.
  • the length of the adhesive layer is slightly shorter than the length of the cover, this offers the advantage that the adhesive layer immediately following on the carrier film, which is only separated from the adhesive layer to be applied by a cut, cannot adhere to the cover. If the adhesive layer also has a residual stiffness, the front and rear edges guided over the edges can detach from the carrier film, so that the adhesive layer can be pulled off the carrier film more easily.
  • a section of the carrier film with the adhesive layer can be guided onto the support until a front edge of the adhesive layer in the transport direction is located on the front edge of the support in the transport direction.
  • the adhesive layer can then be cut to the required length at the rear edge in the transport direction. This ensures that the adhesive layer always has the required length and that no immediately following adhesive layer can lie on the support.
  • the required width of the adhesive layer preferably corresponds to the width of the cover and / or the width of the passport book block or is less than this, and the required length of the adhesive layer corresponds to the length of the cover and / or the length of the passport book block or is less than this.
  • the adhesive layer After the adhesive layer has been heated, it can deform plastically. When folding the passport booklet and fixing it in the folded state, a defined pressure is exerted on it, as a result of which the adhesive layer is distributed between the cover sheet and the cover and can escape slightly at the edges. This ensures that the cover sheet and the cover are glued together flat.
  • the length and the width of the adhesive layer are chosen so that the adhesive layer only emerges slightly at the edges to avoid contamination of the ID, valuable or security document or the device for producing the ID, valuable or security document or gluing the passport booklet together to prevent.
  • the heating to the activation temperature can take place before the carrier film is guided onto the support. This could shorten the production time, since the adhesive layer can be applied to the inside of the cover immediately after the lead is applied.
  • the heating to the activation temperature can also take place on the support, whereby the support can result in uniform heating of the adhesive layer.
  • the support can be heated in order to maintain the temperature of the heated adhesive layer.
  • a gap is formed between the rolls, which are arranged in pairs, into which the passport book blank is inserted with the outside of the cover.
  • the halves of the passport book blank are pressed against the stamp on both sides by the rollers, whereby the passport book blank is folded.
  • the previous introduction of the folding edge has the advantage that the folding edge is defined, so that it is ensured that the passport book blank is folded in two halves along the seam.
  • Several pairs of rollers arranged one behind the other can be provided in the insertion direction. The distance between the rollers of the roller pairs can vary in the direction of insertion so that the gap between the rollers tapers in the direction of insertion. This enables the folding process to be simplified.
  • a first book half can be pre-folded relative to a second book half around the folded edge after the folding edge has been introduced.
  • the folding edge is additionally defined, so that a shifting of the passport book blank is prevented during the folding process.
  • the second half of the passport book blank can be fixed, for example between the stamp and a jaw, the stamp and the jaw ending in the area of the folding edge. Then the first half protruding over the punch is folded over at right angles, for example by a second punch that can be displaced transversely to the direction of insertion.
  • the adhesive layer is heated to the curing temperature and the passport book blank is fixed in the folded-up state between a plurality of spaced-apart rollers arranged in pairs and in parallel.
  • rollers By means of these rollers, it is possible to fix the passport book blank in the folded-up state while the passport book blank is transported further, for example to a subsequent processing station.
  • the distance between the rollers of a roller pair is chosen so that a desired pressure is exerted on the passport book blank.
  • a visual inspection can be carried out to determine whether the adhesive layer has been applied flatly to the cover. Further processing only takes place when the adhesive layer has been applied over the entire surface. If the cover is not completely covered with the adhesive layer, the cover is sorted out and a new cover is provided, onto which an adhesive layer is again applied. This avoids the production of identity documents, documents of value or security documents in which the cover cannot be completely glued to the passport book block.
  • the side edges of the passport book blank are mechanically processed, in particular the free edges are cut to a defined format of the identity document, document of value or security document.
  • the cover and the passport book block or the passport book blank are produced with a slight oversize and only then cut to the desired format.
  • manufacturing-related tolerances can be compensated.
  • this manufacturing method has the advantage that an adhesive layer that has emerged from the side between the cover and passport book block can be removed. If pages of the identity document, value or security document are glued to one another at the edges due to the leaked adhesive layer, this edge can be removed together with the leaked adhesive layer.
  • the length and width of the passport book blank is preferably selected such that a sufficiently wide protrusion can be removed from the free edges.
  • the identity document, value document or security document in particular the data card, can have a chip with a secure memory area, with personal and / or document-specific data being stored in the secure memory area of the chip.
  • the personal and / or document-specific data are preferably stored after the identification, value or security document has been completed, so that it is ensured that the data are not stored on an incorrect identification, value or security document.
  • a quality control of the ID, valuable or security document takes place. The data is only saved on the ID, value or security document if the ID, value or security document has passed the quality control.
