Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rotationally drivable turning tool device, in particular a rotary brush tool, with a tool holder with at least one drive-side and one tool-side clamping element, the two clamping elements being releasably connected to one another and receiving and holding a turning tool.
  • a rotary tool according to the EP 1 859 903 B1 be included.
  • a comparable rotary tool device which can be driven in rotation is shown in US Pat DE 100 30 586 A1 described.
  • a tool with a circular disc-shaped tool body is used.
  • the tool body has a central opening for attachment to a machine tool or generally a rotary drive unit.
  • a support device is provided in the opening, which overlaps the edge of the opening at least on one side of the tool body.
  • a fastening device is provided, which can be clamped onto the machine tool and to which the carrying device can be detachably fastened when the fastening device is clamped. This makes the tool body whole axially secured and held against rotation.
  • the known carrying device is obviously only suitable in connection with circular disk-shaped tool bodies designed as cutting or grinding disks.
  • Rotary brush tools are also known from practice and from the literature in a variety of forms. This is how it deals DE 43 26 793 C1 with a rotatably drivable brush unit, in which the brush holder has two end disks spaced apart by a divided spacer sleeve and the end disks are arranged at a predetermined distance from the sleeve shell and distributed over the disk periphery.
  • the ring brush has a flexible brush band with bristles protruding outwards and with bristle-free band zones for the axial webs overlapping the brush band.
  • a brush belt carrier is equipped with a multi-part clamping unit and an annular body that can be expanded resiliently by means of the clamping unit.
  • the rotary brush tool also has a brush strip with a flat cross section, which is designed as a closed ring.
  • the brush belt carrier and the brush belt can form a unit. This is intended to achieve a versatile use and an effective effect and durability at the same time.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of further developing a rotatably drivable turning tool device of the construction described at the outset in such a way that the turning tool can operate properly in the turning tool device is guaranteed and in particular only defined movements of the turning tool are permitted.
  • a rotary tool device of the generic type which can be driven in rotation is characterized in the context of the invention in that the drive-side clamping element is designed as a holding adapter which engages releasably in the holding cage.
  • the tool holder is composed first of all of the drive-side and the tool-side clamping element.
  • the drive-side tensioning element is generally assigned to a drive or a rotary drive unit.
  • the drive-side tensioning element is usually connected to the rotary drive unit in question or a rotatably driven output shaft.
  • the tool-side clamping element is provided, which is detachably coupled to the rotary drive unit via the drive-side clamping element.
  • the tool-side clamping element and the turning tool define a structural unit. In this way, the uncontrolled movements of the turning tool, which are often observed in the prior art, can be excluded from the outset and by design. Because the turning tool is connected to the tool-side clamping element to form the structural unit.
  • the clamping element on the tool side and the turning tool may be mechanically connected to one another, for example by a screw, rivet or other connection.
  • the clamping element on the tool side and the turning tool are welded together (by ultrasound).
  • the invention is based on the fact that the tool-side clamping element and the turning tool or generally a brush band in a rotary brush are each made of plastic and can therefore be welded to one another (by ultrasound).
  • an adhesive connection with an adhesive is alternatively or additionally possible at this point and is included.
  • the clamping element on the tool side is designed as a holding cage that at least partially encloses the radial and axially rotating tool.
  • the turning tool is fixed both radially and axially in the holding cage in question or can only move with respect to the holding cage with radial and axial play limited by the holding cage.
  • defined conditions are made available, as regards any movement of the turning tool relative to the tool holder or generally the design of the turning tool in combination with the tool holder.
  • the invention ensures that the turning tool device in connection with the assembly comprising the turning tool and the holding cage always and reproducibly has the guaranteed properties and delivers work results.
  • the holding cage is generally a circular ring cage with axial webs on the circumference.
  • the axial webs overlap the turning tool.
  • the turning tool has recesses so that the axial webs overlap the turning tool in the area of these recesses.
  • axial webs are provided on the holding cage, which are arranged distributed over the circumference of the holding cage designed as an annular ring cage.
  • three axial webs can be used, which are distributed over the circumference of the circular ring cage in a 120 ° arrangement.
  • the holding cage is designed as a circular ring cage and usually has a central bore for receiving the drive-side tensioning element, which is designed according to the invention as a holding adapter which can be detachably engaged in the holding cage, an annular surface of the circular ring cage surrounding the central bore is first of all realized.
  • Said ring surface of the circular ring cage generally receives the brush band of the ring brush, which for this purpose encloses the ring surface in question on the outer circumference. This can happen with and without play.
  • the brush band in question and the ring surface lie directly against one another.
  • the axial webs now define, as it were, a second annular surface which is radially spaced from the first annular surface. Because the axial webs overlap the turning tool or the ring brush in the area of the cutouts.
  • the turning tool or its brush band is held radially between the first ring surface in question and the axial web or the second ring surface formed thereby. This applies even if the axial webs only describe a small part of the circumference of the second ring surface.
  • the holding cage In addition to this radial holding of the turning tool within the holding cage, the holding cage also ensures an axial holding.
  • circumferential radial webs are provided, which are connected to one another via the axial webs.
  • the radial webs additionally ensure the axial securing of the turning tool accommodated in the interior of the holding cage. This is at least partially secured radially and axially because the holding cage does not ensure a continuous enclosed cage-like housing due to the limited extent of the axial webs and radial webs, which is also not necessary.
  • the device-side tensioning element is designed as a holding adapter which engages detachably in the holding cage.
  • the holding adapter releasably engages in the central bore of the holding cage.
  • the holding adapter advantageously has locking pins on the circumference. The locking pins engage in the associated mounting holes in the holding cage when the holding adapter is mounted.
  • the locking pins are advantageously radial locking pins and the receiving bores are generally designed as radial receiving bores. In this case, too, it is advisable to arrange the locking pins or radial locking pins as well as the receiving bores or radial receiving bores equally distributed over the circumference. In fact, it can usually be done here that both the locking pins and the locating bores are again offset with a 120 ° offset over the circumference of the holding adapter or the central bore. It is advantageous to work in such a way that the locking pins or radial locking pins and the associated receiving bores or radial receiving bores are each placed in the area of the axial webs which are likewise arranged with a 120 ° offset. This provides a particularly intuitive assembly.
  • the locking pins themselves are generally operated with the aid of a pressure element against spring force.
  • the procedure can be such that the pressure element provided on the holding adapter in the actuated state counteracts the spring force to ensure that the locking pins or radial locking pins assume a retracted position.
  • This can also be ensured by a spring assigned to the respective locking pin or radial locking pin.
  • the locking pins are pushed outward against the force of their associated springs and can dip into the receiving bores or radial receiving bores.
  • the holding adapter is now detachably anchored inside the central bore of the holding cage.
  • the previously described functional state with the rotating element acted upon corresponds to the fact that the structural unit can be removed from the holding cage and the rotating tool from the holding adapter.
  • the holding adapter and the relevant central bore are generally equipped with corresponding centering elements for mutual alignment.
  • the holding adapter can only be received in certain angular positions in the central bore of the holding cage. These angular positions correspond to the fact that the locking pins or radial locking pins in the holding adapter meet and can also hit the opposite receiving bores or radial receiving bores in the central bore of the holding cage.
  • the holding adapter is usually connected to the rotary drive unit. Most often, the holding adapter is used together with if necessary a holding plate and a stop means connected to the rotary drive unit in question.
  • the stop means is advantageously one such as that in FIG EP 1 834 733 B1 has already been described.
  • the fixed connection of the holding adapter together with the optional holding plate and the stopping means to the rotary drive unit ensures that the position of the stopping means can be defined and specified in comparison to the turning tool to be attached. Because the turning tool, together with the holding cage, forms the above-mentioned structural unit. As soon as the assembly consisting of the turning tool and the holding cage is coupled to the holding adapter on the rotary drive unit, there are reproducible conditions for the length and orientation of the bristles, the possible play of the brush band of the ring brush or rotating brush relative to the holding cage and the position and attachment of the stop means . This is of particular importance to those under the patent EP 1 834 733 B1 to be able to implement the described machining of the surface of the workpiece or material as desired and with demonstrable success. The main advantages can be seen here.
  • a rotary tool device that can be driven in rotation
  • a rotary brush tool device or a rotary brush tool in a non-limiting manner.
  • the basic structure of the device shown has a tool holder 1, 2 which is equipped with at least one drive-side clamping element 1 and one tool-side clamping element 2.
  • the drive-side tensioning element 1 is a holding adapter 1, which is connected to one only in the Fig. 2 indicated rotary drive unit 3 or its drive shaft is connected. You can also see in this representation Fig. 2 another holding plate 4 and a stopping means S.
  • the holding plate 4, the holding adapter 1 and the stopping means S are in the present case firmly connected to the rotary drive unit 3.
  • the design is such that rotations of the output shaft of the rotary drive unit 3 are transmitted to the holding adapter 1.
  • the clamping element 2 shown is a holding cage 2, which at least partially encloses a turning tool 5, 6 radially and axially.
  • the turning tool 5, 6 is in this case equipped as a ring brush or its output shaft 5, 6 with a brush belt 6 and bristles 5 which are connected to the brush belt 6 and protrude radially.
  • the two clamping elements 1, 2 or the holding adapter 1 and the holding cage 2 are detachably connected to one another, take up the rotary tool 5, 6 in question and ensure its mounting. Due to the releasable connection of the holding adapter 1 to the holding cage 2, the rotary movements of the output shaft of the rotary drive unit 3 are transmitted via the holding adapter 1 to the holding cage 2 and thereby to the rotary tool 5, 6 carried by the holding cage 2, which rotates as a result of this, as this a double arrow in the Fig. 1 for both possible directions of rotation.
  • the holding cage 2 is evidenced by the Fig. 3 designed as an annular cage.
  • a central bore 7 in the holding cage or circular cage 2 in question which serves to accommodate the holding adapter 1 and is set up.
  • an annular surface or first annular surface 8 is provided which surrounds the central bore 7.
  • Radial webs 9 are connected on the circumferential side to the first annular surface 8 and are arranged distributed over the circumference. In the present case, the radial webs 9 are found in the exemplary embodiment and not in a restrictive manner in a 120 ° arrangement.
  • the axial webs 10 overlap the turning tool 5, 6.
  • the turning tool 5, 6 has recesses 11, in which the axial webs 10 are provided and overlap the turning tool or the ring brush 5, 6.
  • the axial webs 10 or the second ring surface and the first ring surface 8 now ensure that the turning tool 5, 6 or its brush band 6 is secured radially within the holding cage 2 formed in this way and is radially enclosed with the aid of the holding cage 2.
  • the radial webs 9 on both sides, in comparison to the central first ring surface 8, additionally ensure axial securing by the holding cage 2 or ensure that the holding cage 2 axially surrounds the turning tool 5, 6. Since the axial webs 10 are only partially provided on the circumference of the first annular surface 8 and at a distance therefrom, no continuous second annular surface is defined by the axial webs 10, but only a virtual and in the Fig. 3 dotted ring area. Nevertheless, the holding cage 2 formed in this way ensures the desired reception and holding of the turning tool 5, 6 and its radial and axial securing.
  • the turning tool 5, 6 can now be accommodated with play within the holding cage 2.
  • the turning tool 5, 6 is mechanically coupled to the holding cage 2.
  • the turning tool 5, 6 or the ring brush 5, 6 used at this point generally has a brush strip 6 made of plastic.
  • the holding cage 2 is advantageously made of plastic. Different plastics can be used, for example polyamide (PA) for the brush band 6 and polyethylene (PE) for the holding cage 2.
  • PA polyamide
  • PE polyethylene
  • the holding cage 2 and the brush band 6 can be welded to one another (by ultrasound).
  • this is only an example and not restrictive.
  • define the tool-side clamping element or the holding cage 2 and the turning tool or the ring brush 5, 6 a structural unit 2, 5, 6.
  • the holding adapter 1 is designed in the exemplary embodiment and not in a restrictive disk-shaped or cylindrical manner.
  • the holding adapter 1 is adapted to the size and shape of the central bore 7 in the holding cage 2.
  • the holding adapter 1 is equipped with circumferential locking pins 12.
  • the locking pins 12 engage in corresponding receiving bores 13 in the holding cage 2.
  • the receiving bores 13 can be found in the Fig. 4 in the first ring surface 8, specifically in the area of the radial webs 9. In this way, the holding adapter 1 can be detachably connected to the holding cage 2 in a particularly intuitive manner.
  • the locking pins 12 are radial locking pins 12, that is to say those locking pins 12 which engage in the associated receiving bores 13 in the radial direction.
  • the receiving bores 13 in the exemplary embodiment are also designed as radial receiving bores 13.
  • the locking pins 12 are now actuated with the aid of a pressure element 14 against spring force.
  • the pressure element 14 is a central actuation button 14 of the holding adapter 1.
  • the locking pins 12 are withdrawn spring-assisted into the interior of the holding adapter when it is actuated, so that in this pressed position of the pressure element 14, the assembly 2, 5, 6 from the holding cage 2 and the turning tool 5, 6 can be easily removed from the holding adapter 1 connected to the rotary drive unit 3.
  • You can also click on this way, differently designed turning tools 5, 6, including the holding cage 2, are each anchored as a structural unit 2, 5, 6 to the holding adapter 1, which is firmly connected to the rotary drive unit 3.

  • corresponding centering elements 15, 16 can be seen on the one hand on the holding adapter 1 and on the other hand on the ring surface 8 or on the circumferential side of the central bore 7.
  • the corresponding centering elements 15, 16 are each flat surfaces which ensure that the cross section circular holding adapter 1 can engage in the central bore 7, which is also circular in cross section, in a rotationally secure and centered manner. This ensures that the holding cage 2 with the rotary tool 5, 6 mounted therein can be coupled in a rotationally secure manner to the holding adapter 1 and, consequently, rotary movements of the rotary drive unit 3 or its output shaft can be transmitted correctly to the rotary tool 5, 6.
