Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sports device for use in water, a set of these sports devices and the use of the sports device for water sports with the help of the hands.
  • oars or paddles are used to move boats in the water.
  • the rudder and paddle have a long, straight handle, at the end of which a flat component is attached, and at the other end of which there is a handle.
  • the handle between the handle and rudder blade is movably attached to the boat, so that when the handle is pulled towards the body, the rudder blade is moved away from the body by the water. The athlete thereby moves backwards with the boat.
  • a paddle also has a long handle, at the end of which a blade is attached, which has a handle at the end of the paddle remote from the blade. Paddles are not attached to the boat when operated.
  • a water sports device in which the leaves are attached to the handle according to the handles, is in DE 36 28 637 A1 described. Leverage is used for locomotion.
  • US 4,865,571 shows a device which has a rigid rectangular plate for locomotion in water with V-shaped fixed spikes for gripping an ice surface and a longer spike projecting from the surface for gripping an ice surface through a snow surface.
  • the thorns lie on the side of the surface facing away from the handle.
  • WO 2015/110824 shows a paddle for water sports in which a handle is attached to a substantially triangular, flat plate.
  • EP 1498159 shows a fitness training device in the form of a flat disc with a peripheral edge on which a handle is attached to the side of the edge.
  • the device is very flat so that the water resistance when moving horizontally, in the plane of the disc, is as low as possible, but as large as possible perpendicular to it.
  • the object of the present invention was to provide an alternative sports device with which gymnastic endurance sports can be carried out in the water. This object is achieved by the present invention.
  • the invention relates to a sports device according to claim 1.
  • Another object of the invention is a sports device according to the invention, in which two sports devices, each having a blade, a handle and a handle, in which the handles are each between two holders on the handle, with which the handle is attached to the sheet, with each other are connected via a connector.
  • a blade is a component which can be pulled through water with a force suitable for training the muscles against resistance.
  • it usually has a c w value of between 1.0 and 1.5, preferably between 1.15 and 1.4.
  • Completely flat sheets are suitable compared to the direction of movement (c w value of approx. 1.0-1.1). More suitable sheets, however, have a surface that has a space open against the direction of movement. An example of such a sheet is a hemisphere or half-shell open against the direction of movement. If such a sheet is pulled through the water with the open side, it feels more stable. Sheets with a surface that has different angles of inclination with respect to the direction of movement through the water over their length and width are preferred.
  • the sheet can generate sufficient water resistance, it is preferably impermeable to water or has a sufficiently large, unbroken area. There will be sufficient water resistance if the sportsperson has to make a significant effort to be able to move the sports equipment through the water perpendicular to the handle.
  • the c w value of the sheet can be brought into the range in which it can be used for the invention by various design measures.
  • One of these factors is the angle of attack against the direction of movement. This can be influenced by attaching the handle and the angle of the handle to the blade.
  • the angle of attack is between 75 and 90 degrees, preferably between 85 and 90 degrees.
  • Another factor is the surface of the surface of the blade directed against the direction of movement. On one or more sides it can have an angle of more than 80 degrees, preferably between 85 and 90 degrees, with respect to the direction of movement in the water. The more you work with pressure against the water, the faster you should think that the sports equipment moves through the water. Thats not right.
  • the components of the blade used to generate the water resistance are preferably made of a light material.
  • This can be a uniform material, such as plastic, but also a composite, such as reinforced plastic or carbon.
  • the material primarily used is polypropylene, but this does not mean that other materials such as fiberglass or carbon are excluded for higher-quality sheets (or the entire sports equipment).
  • the sheet is preferably made with a substantially uniform wall thickness.
  • the wall thickness of the sheet according to the invention is usually between 1.2 mm and 1.5 mm for the majority of its surface, depending on the material.
  • the preferred thickness of the sheet in the surface is 1.3 mm, and 5 mm in the area of the holders.
  • the flexibility of the sheet, even at different points on the sheet can be adjusted via the layer thickness. It has been found that for the water sports with the invention it is pleasant for the athlete if the blade is not completely rigid. A deflection at the edge of up to 10 cm, preferably between 1.2 cm and 1.5 cm, when moving through the water has proven to be gentle on the joints even under extremely high loads, since the force can be developed gently. Plastic has proven to be particularly suitable as the material for the flat portion of the leaf that contributes the most water resistance.
  • the size of the cross-sectional area through which the water resistance is generated also has an influence on the force that the athlete has to exert to move the sports equipment through the water.
  • this area does not mean the area of the surface of the sheet, but the area of the projection of the sheet onto the area perpendicular to the direction of movement.
  • the area of the leaf that is effective for water resistance can therefore have an area of between 100 and 2000 cm 2 , sports equipment with a smaller area requiring less strength, that is to say more suitable for beginners or children, while equipment with larger areas for training for experienced persons strong muscles are more suitable.
  • An area of between 600 and 1000 cm 2 is suitable for adults with average strength.
  • the blade is attached to the stem with two brackets.
  • This handle has a handle through which the sports equipment can be gripped and moved through the water.
  • the stem extends between the two holders of the leaf. It can therefore have any shape that ensures this function. In its simplest form, it can be a rod with a round cross-section. It is preferably tubular.
  • the handle is so long that it can be held by the brackets on the one hand and that it can pick up or form the handle on the other hand. The minimum length is therefore determined by the distance between the brackets. This in turn is determined by the fact that the handle lies between the brackets and is therefore determined by the width of the hand of the athlete. The maximum length is given by the dimensions of the leaf.
  • the stalk should not protrude, or not significantly, permanently beyond the cross-sectional area of the blade, because otherwise this could lead to injuries from the protruding part.
  • the stem therefore usually has a length of between 20 cm and 30 cm; 25 cm are preferred.
  • the diameter of the handle tube is preferably between 15 mm and 40 mm, particularly preferably between 20 mm and 30 mm. If you use a tube with a diameter of 24 mm, you can use a standard bicycle handlebar handle.
  • the handle is made of a material that is strong enough to hold the handle in a fixed position relative to the blade. Metals or plastics are suitable for this. If the sports equipment is to be particularly light, light metals have proven to be preferred. In addition, it must not corrode.
  • the handle can also be made of plastic, in particular of the plastic from which the sheet is also made. This also simplifies production, since the sports equipment can then be produced in an injection molding step.
  • the handle can be part of the handle or a component attached to the handle, which largely or completely encompasses the handle, so that the handle can be largely or completely gripped by hand.
  • the size of the hand therefore essentially determines the circumference of the handle.
  • the circumference is therefore preferably between 8 cm and 20 cm.
  • part of the handle itself is used as a handle. This is useful if the sports equipment is to be inexpensive.
  • the handle is a long component with a round cross section that is so large that it can be gripped and held firmly by hand. The diameter is then between 2 cm and 6 cm, preferably between 2.5 cm and 4 cm, a small diameter being advantageous for smaller hands, such as in children.
  • a separately attached handle is then no longer necessary, since part of the handle serves as a handle.
  • this has the disadvantage that it is more difficult to grip and hold the handle without the hand slipping on the handle during the exercises.
  • Another embodiment is characterized in that the handle and the handle are made of the same material, and the handle is formed from the material of the handle, for example in order to ensure better grip of the handle.
  • This embodiment is particularly easy to manufacture if the sports device is made of plastic, since the device can then be manufactured by injection molding.
  • the plastic can be ergonomically shaped in the area of the handle so that it is designed to be easy to grip.
  • the handle on the handle is shaped separately. It is therefore more independent of the shape of the stem.
  • the shape is designed so that it can be held firmly by hand. This can have the shape and size of a conventional bicycle handlebar handle made of soft plastic. So that the hand cannot slip in the direction of the holders, extensions can be provided on the sides of the handle.
  • the handle is a cylindrical piece made of rubber, which is pushed onto the desired position when the handle made of aluminum tube is installed.
  • the material of the handle is chosen depending on the desired design. Soft plastics that are easy to process, skin-friendly and secure to the touch are particularly suitable.
  • the handle can be anywhere between the brackets.
  • the handle is fixed on the handle so that the sports equipment is always firmly gripped in the same place. This is preferably chosen so that the force from the hand is distributed as evenly as possible to the sports equipment, so that the surface effective against the water resistance is as perpendicular as possible to the direction of movement of the sports equipment.
  • this location is preferably placed in the front third of the stem, which is closer to the thumb, provided that the holders are in each case at the outer ends of the blade. If the water resistance on one side of the blade is increased, the handle will usefully be shifted further to this side. This serves to make training more even.
  • the brackets connect the blade to the stem.
  • This connection can be permanent, but also temporary.
  • the blade should be securely attached to the stem during exercise. If the sports equipment can be disassembled, holders can be selected in which the handle or the leaf can be removed from the holder, or in which the holders can be released.
  • An embodiment with a permanent connection is obtained if the sports equipment is to be produced from a single material, for example plastic, by injection molding. In multi-step manufacturing processes, the holder can be permanently attached to the blade or the handle and can be connected to the handle or blade to complete or provide the sports equipment.
  • the connection can be made using conventional methods. Pushing, screwing, clamping, snapping or a combination of one or more of these methods are suitable for this.
  • the holders are located on the side of the blade or of the sports device on which the stem is also located and which is on the side of the direction of movement of the device.
  • the area of the sheet preferably encloses between 5% and 75% of the space around the handle.
  • the brackets have a receptacle for the handle, in which this is then attached by screws.
  • the brackets are attached to the blade so far apart that there is still space for the handle on the handle.
  • both holders can be designed in the form of openings in the sheet.
  • the first holder is part of the blade on the side of the sports device that lies on the side of the direction of movement.
  • a component is provided at one end of the blade, which projects towards the handle in the direction of movement and has a receptacle for the handle, for example a round opening with the outer shape of the handle.
  • the handle is screwed into the holder on the one hand and clamped on the other side.
  • the second bracket is formed by a hole in the blade into which the stem is received, for example a round hole with the outer shape of the stem which extends from the inside of the blade to the outside, through which the stem extends from the inside to the outside can.
  • Fasteners such as screws or clamps, can then be provided on the inside or the outside of the sheet. Again, the two brackets are so far apart on the blade that there is space for the handle with the handle between them.
  • the brackets and the handle also serve to hold the handle so far away from the blade that the hand does not come into direct contact with the blade when gripping the sports equipment by the handle and especially during the exercises. This is ensured if the distance between the handle and the blade is more than 5 cm. The distance is advantageously between 5.5 and 11 cm.
  • the sheet is formed from a strongly rounded, rectangular, curved plastic plate with a width of 20 cm and a length of over 30 cm, but a maximum of 50 cm.
  • the edges of the plate are bent in the direction of the handle, so that a hollow interior is formed, the edge protruding on one side over the handle, so that the handle protrudes outwards from the interior through an opening in the plate.
  • the sports device according to the invention can be manufactured by conventional methods. If the sports device is made entirely of plastic, it can be injection molded from a thermoplastic, such as PP and PE. The sheet including the brackets is preferred in Injection molding process made of PP. If individual components are to be made of other plastics, for example softer materials, such as the handle, the sports equipment can be manufactured using the two-component injection molding process. If the sports equipment consists of different materials, the individual components can be manufactured separately and then assembled. This is the case if individual components, such as the handle, are to consist of metals, others of plastic.
  • the sports device according to the invention can be used for water sports. This includes sports that are carried out in one place in the water. To do this, the athlete goes into the water, standing or moving freely, grips the sports equipment firmly with one hand on the handle and moves the sports equipment through the water. The movement can take place both horizontally and vertically. The effort and thus the training effect can be adjusted by grasping the sports equipment on the handle in such a way that the blade has different angles of attack to the direction of movement. The effort is greatest when the c w value reaches the greatest value. This is usually the case when the area of the blade that is effective for the water resistance with regard to a specific direction of movement is the largest. You can do the same exercises with a lot or little effort.
  • An example of an exercise with the sports device according to the invention is the gripping of the handle with the arm extended so that the interior of the blade points to the athlete, movement of the sports device in the direction of the athlete by tightening the arm muscles and then returning the sports device to the starting position.
  • Another exercise is gripping the sports equipment by hand with the arm extended forward so that the interior of the sports equipment points downward, moving the extended arm with the sports equipment downward and returning the sports equipment to the starting position.
  • the muscles are not only trained when flexing the arm muscles, but also when the arm muscles are stretched while returning to the starting position. Movement in the water also means that balancing movements are required throughout the body so that the body remains in place and does not fall forward or backward. This also trains the spinal stabilization muscles.
  • the sports device according to the invention therefore ensures a gentle load on a large number of muscle groups through gentle strength development.
  • the sports device according to the invention can also be used for locomotion through the water.
  • One way to do this is to swim in the familiar crawl style.
  • each hand grips one of the sports equipment according to the invention.
  • one piece of sports equipment is guided through the air from back to front, while the other is pulled through the water from front to back.
  • the water resistance generated by the leaf is converted into a movement of the athlete forward.
  • Using the sports device according to the invention for swimming is not as easy as it appears, but experienced swimmers can quickly learn the new techniques.
  • the sheet according to the invention preferably has a curved, oval, elongated shape.
  • the said blade describes the shape of a shovel which has a handle in the middle in the longitudinal direction.
  • the sports device according to the invention generally has a length of approximately 30 cm, a width of approximately 20 cm and at the deepest point a depth of approximately 12 cm to 15 cm.
  • the sports device according to the invention can also contain further components.
  • This can be a component that can be used to connect to another piece of sports equipment.
  • the component is preferably a connecting piece, for example a connecting handle, which can be attached to the second copy of the sports device.
  • brackets are available either on the connecting handle or on one or both sports equipment. Because of the quick detachability, clamp brackets are preferred.
  • one of the brackets of each of the two sports equipment used to attach the handle to the blade is also used to attach the connecting handle.
  • the shape of the connecting piece or connecting rod is chosen so that the two connected sports equipment can be grasped with one hand on each handle and it firmly connects the two individual sports equipment, preferably via their handles.
  • the connecting handle is so long that the two sports equipment are at a sufficient distance from each other for training. In a more comfortable version, the length of the connecting rod is variable so that different exercises can be trained. As a rule, the connecting handle is so long that the connecting handle can be completely sunk in the sports device according to the invention, so that nothing protrudes. This avoids the Risk of injury.
  • the distance between the handles of the two sports equipment is between 40 cm and 1.2 m, preferably between 50 cm and 1 m.
  • the connecting handle has an outer shape that can be accommodated in the interior of the handle of the first sports device so that it can be stored therein.
  • the handle of the first sports device is preferably a hollow tube with a first inner diameter
  • the connecting handle is a tube with an outer diameter that is somewhat smaller than the inner diameter of the handle of the first sports device.
  • the tubes are preferably straight.
  • the invention therefore relates to a set comprising two sports equipment according to the invention.
  • both arms can be trained at the same time if one piece of sports equipment is gripped with the right and the left hand and moved in the water. If these sports equipment are not connected to each other, exercises can be carried out in which the two hands make movements in different directions. For example, the first sports device can be moved down while the second is moved up.
  • This set can also contain a connecting handle for fastening the two sports equipment together. This can be included loose in the set, but can also be attached to one of the two sports equipment.
  • This set can contain the individual sports equipment in a separate form as a set, but the individual sports equipment can also be connected to one another via the connecting piece.
  • the invention further relates to a sports device containing two of the sports devices according to the invention described above, each with a leaf, which are firmly connected to one another by a connecting piece or a connecting handle.
  • This arm can then be used to train both arms.
  • each hand grips one of the two handles and moves the sports equipment essentially perpendicular to the handles. If the distance between the handles is changed, for example by connecting rods of different lengths, different muscle groups can be trained.
  • Another object of the invention is the use of the device according to the invention for the practice of water sports with the help of the hands.
  • An example of water sports is swimming. Water sports by moving the Sports equipment either alternately up and down or to the body back and forth.
  • a first embodiment of the sports device (10) according to the invention is shown schematically. It has a sheet (11) which has a thumb side (18) and a little finger side (19). On its thumb side (18), the sheet is fastened to a stem (12) in the form of a tube with a first holder (14).
