Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pack, in particular a cigarette pack, according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing packs according to the preamble of claim 12.
  • the focus is on packs for cigarettes or other products of the tobacco industry, which are provided on the outside with a band, in particular a tax band.
  • the band should be designed and / or attached to the pack in such a way that the consumer cannot remove it from the pack without destroying it.
  • Cigarette packs with banderoles are known in which an outer wrapping made of foil with a tear strip, which is common for such packs, causes the destruction of the band when the pack is opened for the first time, i.e. when the outer wrapping is removed ( DE 10 2011 109 233 A1 ).
  • the band is attached to a large area of the pack on the one hand and to the associated wall of the outer casing on the other hand by means of strips of glue or points of glue.
  • the glue connections to the pack, on the one hand, and to the outer casing, on the other hand, are offset, in such a way that when the tear strip is operated or when parts of the film of the outer casing are pulled off the pack, the band in the area of a transverse perforation line is severed and thus destroyed.
  • the glue connections are designed on the one hand as cold glue connections and on the other hand as hot glue connections.
  • a cigarette pack with a banderole which is attached to the pack with the aid of points of glue of different holding force.
  • the banderole is fixed with glue dots on the one hand to the pack and on the other hand to an outer foil wrapping.
  • several short perforation lines on the edge are provided on the band.
  • the invention is concerned with further developed, improved designs with regard to the design and arrangement of a (control) band on a pack and possibly on the outer wrapping of the same, such that in the case of packs with or without the contribution of the outer wrapping to the destruction of the band, it reliably destroys it if, for example, an attempt is made manually to detach the banderole from the pack (after removing the outer wrapping).
  • the pack according to the invention is designed with the features of claim 1.
  • the lines of weakness can be formed by a scoring or scoring.
  • the innovation is therefore based on a special interaction of the glue connections between the band and pack on the one hand and preferably transverse weakening lines of the band on the other.
  • the band is detached from the pack (either by hand or with the help of the outer wrapping), the band is destroyed, especially in the area of the weakening lines, with the formation of at least partially separated (strip-shaped) parts of the band.
  • the glue connections preferably consist of glue dots, and because of different properties of cold glue on the one hand and hot glue on the other.
  • the points of glue are applied to the band or to the pack using a special method, in particular in such a way that glue, preferably several points of glue, are applied in the area of the several (transversely directed) lines of weakness.
  • a glue pattern is particularly advantageous in which glue dots, in particular hot glue dots, are positioned at least at the four corners of the preferably rectangular band.
  • glue dots are applied by glue nozzles.
  • a special feature is that a selected glue pattern, in particular a series of cold glue points, is applied to the pack according to the position of the band to be applied.
  • Hot glue dots are preferably attached (directly) to the (inside of the) band.
  • Another (also independent) innovation is the design and arrangement of the preferably transverse weakening lines of the band. Perforations (parallel to one another) made up of complementary arcuate punched lines between which appropriate residual connections are formed are advantageous. This preserves the unity of the band for the processing process. After it has been attached to the pack, the number and arrangement of the weakening lines will reliably destroy the band when attempting to tear it off. This effect is significantly improved and optimized if at least one (cold) glue point is positioned in the area of the weakening lines.
  • This special effect of reliably destroying the band can also be used in an embodiment in which a (film) outer wrapping of the pack contributes to the destruction of the band, in that a part of the same is connected to the outer wrapping by means of glue dots positioned on the outside is.
  • the bands are preferably provided with the lines of weakness by removing them from a magazine during transport, initially through a perforation element. After that, the Hot glue areas applied to the outward-facing, i.e. exposed side, the connection side, of the banderole.
  • the packs are fed along a preferably straight path, preferably with the rear side pointing upwards.
  • Cold glue is applied to this, preferably a series of cold glue points.
  • the glued side of the band is then placed on the pack in this area.
  • a glue pattern can be applied to the free outside of the band connected to the pack before an outer wrapping made of film is applied in order to connect the band to the outer wrapping.
  • the solution provides that the pack is provided with a marking in the area of the band, in such a way that the marking extends continuously over at least part of the band and over areas of the pack adjoining the part of the band.
  • the invention is concerned with the design and manufacture of packs 10 with a (separate) blank attached at a special point, in particular in the form of a (control) band 11.
  • the packs 10 in the first two exemplary embodiments are cigarette packs, in particular in the form of a hinged box or hinge lid pack, with a box part 12 and a lid 13.
  • the rectangular pack made of thin cardboard is usually surrounded by an outer casing 14 Foil. This is removed from the pack 10 the first time it is used, usually with the help of a tear strip 15, which separates the outer casing 14 into (two) foil or casing parts 16, 17 when actuated accordingly ( Fig. 7 ). It goes without saying that the invention can also be used with other types of packs.
  • the focus is on the design and arrangement of the band 11.
  • This is preferably designed as an elongated, rectangular blank ( Fig. 4, Fig. 5 ).
  • the band 11 is attached to a suitable location on the pack 10 and connected to it. In the present case, the band 11 is attached to a rear wall 18 of the pack 10 or of the box part 12, adjacent to a bottom wall.
  • the band 11 is positioned with a transversely directed longitudinal extension.
  • the band 11 is fixed to the pack 10 by gluing, that is to say by means of glue.
  • the gluing takes place preferably by means of point or circular surface-shaped glue patterns, that is to say by means of glue dots. Furthermore, it is advantageous if different glue points, namely cold glue on the one hand and hot glue on the other hand, are used in a special, coordinated manner to connect the band 11 to the pack 10 and, if necessary, to the outer cover 14. It goes without saying that other types of glue or other glue patterns can also be used within the scope of the invention.
  • hot glue points 19 are arranged adjacent to the corners of the band 11 to fix the same in this area which is critical for the exact, durable connection and to secure the connection between the band 11 and the package 10 during the transport of the same through the units .
  • Further hot glue points 20 can preferably be positioned adjacent to the longitudinal edges of the band, at least one further hot glue point 20 on each long side of the band 11.
  • the glue dots 19, 20 and 21 are preferably arranged in orderly, parallel rows.
  • Cold glue points 21 are positioned separately at a (technically meaningful) distance from the hot glue points 19, 20, specifically in a central area of the band 11.
  • a row of several points of cold glue 21 is preferably attached along an (imaginary) longitudinal center line of the band 11.
  • the cold glue dots 21, which are preferably arranged at a regular distance from one another, can extend over the entire length of the band 11 or be positioned eccentrically, as a row of cold glue dots 21 over a part of the length of the band 11.
  • the glue pattern is designed, in particular through the positioning of the hot glue dots 19, in such a way that when the band 11 is attached to the pack 10 in exact alignment, the band is positioned immediately and securely against displacement, since the hot glue dots 19 quickly move Establish a sufficiently stable connection.
  • the band 11 is also provided with punchings that form at least one (transverse or longitudinal) line of weakness which, together with the glue dots 19, 20, 21, ensure that the band 11 is destroyed if it is separated from the pack 10 in violation of the regulations.
  • the punchings form perforation lines or lines of weakness, which are referred to below as punch lines 23.
  • line of weakness line of perforation and line of cut are used as synonyms. It is also conceivable that the line of weakness is formed by grooves and / or scoring.
  • the punching, creasing and scoring can also be used in combination with one another.
  • punching lines 23 transverse to the band 11, preferably in a central area, are advantageous.
  • the (several) punch lines 23 are designed and arranged in such a way that a structured punch area 22 is created, which consists of several interacting punch lines 23, which on the one hand cause reliable destruction of the band 11 during the detachment process, but on the other hand the dimensional stability of the blank during processing and ensure attachment to pack 10.
  • An embodiment is advantageous in which the punching area 22 is arranged centrally in the area of the banderole 11 and covers approximately one third of the area of the banderole 11.
  • a plurality (five) of transversely directed, arcuate or undulating punch lines 23 are provided. These consist of punched sections 24, in the present case of curved punched sections 24, which complement each other to form a (wave-shaped) punched line 23. It goes without saying that the punching sections 24 can also have a different shape.
  • the punching lines 23 forming the punching area 22 can be designed differently.
  • the punching lines 23 consist of straight punching sections 24 which are directed at an angle to the marginal edges of the band 11.
  • a special feature consists in the intersecting arrangement of a group of punching lines 23.
  • the punching area 22 preferably consists of three, for example Punched lines 23, which are directed at (opposite) acute angles to one another.
  • the sections of punched lines, that is, punched sections 24, are dimensioned and arranged in such a way that the punched sections 24 do not directly intersect. Rather, residual connections 25 are arranged in such a way that each punched section 24 is delimited at both ends by a residual connection 25. This ensures that the banderole retains its shape.
  • Punctiform punched sections 24 are also conceivable.
  • the punchings or the punching area 22 act together with the glue connection of the band 11 and the pack 10 and / or outer casing 14. At least one glue point, but preferably several glue points 20 and / or 21 are in the punching area 22. Preferably, several hot glue points 20 and / or several points of cold glue 21 positioned in such a way that they lie in the region of the punch lines 23. This ensures that the band 11 is destroyed when it is detached.
  • the separation process results in several, for example, strip-shaped sections 26 of the banderole 11 due to the holding force of the glue connection in this area and due to the correspondingly structured punching lines 23.
  • the sections 26 of the banderole remain partially connected to the assigned banderole pieces 48, 49 ) Part 26 is therefore delimited by two punch lines 23.
  • the above effect is further increased by the fact that the glue of the glue dots 19, 20, 21 occurs in the process of attaching the band 11 to the pack 10 in gaps 27 of the band 11, which are created by the punchings, i.e. by the punching lines 23.
  • the glue connection that is moldable or flowable at this point occurs, as shown schematically in FIG Fig. 3 shown, in the joints or columns 27 and causes an additional local fixation of the band.
  • the pack 10 can be designed differently with regard to the securing of the band 11.
  • Fig. 2 in connection with the banderoles in Fig. 4, Fig. 5 ) the outer wrapping 14 is separated without affecting the band 11.
  • Fig. 2 shows that the attempt to pull off the band 11 manually will destroy it.
  • a modified glue pattern is preferably used.
  • the (hot) glue points 19 arranged at the corners of the band 11 also remain in this version.
  • Further hot glue points 20 are arranged in the area of the punching lines 23, but essentially only in one (in Fig. 6, Fig. 7 right) partial area of the band 11.
  • the row of cold glue dots 21 also does not extend over the full length of the band 11, but only into the punching area 22. Outside this area, glue dots are arranged on the outside of the band, in particular further (two) hot glue dots 28.
  • connection of the band 11 to the outer wrapping 14 is accordingly stronger than that of the (hot) glue dots 19 Generated holding force for connecting the band 11 to the pack 10.
  • An innovative specialty is the manufacture or preparation of the band 11 and the merging with the pack 10.
  • the packs 10 are conveyed through treatment stations with the rear wall 18 pointing upwards along a (straight) pack path 29 at a distance from one another, in this case by means of a pack belt 30 and drivers for gripping a pack 10 each.
  • a banderole apparatus 31 is positioned above the pack web 29 or above the pack belt 30 for preparing the banderoles 11, in particular for attaching the punched areas 22 and spots of glue.
