Definitions
- the invention relates to a data page, in particular for a book-like document, and to a method for its production, in which the data page comprises at least one individual page for applying and / or storing data and at least one tab made of a flexible material, at least one in an overlap area Tab section of a tab element of the tab is connected to the individual side and has a free tab area which extends beyond it.
- the tab can be made of a textile material.
- the tab made of textile material can comprise at least two materials, of which a first material has a melting point or a glass transition temperature, so that this material melts or melts under the conditions of the welding process and a second material is not a meltable material, such as metallic Fibers.
- a data page for a book-like document is also known.
- This data page comprises a data carrier which comprises a first and second laminating film which are connected to one another. These laminating foils form the main body and a protruding hinge area for connecting the data page into the book-like document. At least one wire-shaped reinforcing element is provided between the two laminating layers, which is provided in the hinge area and extends into the edge area of the main body.
- a data page is known in which a stepped area at an edge area for connecting a tab Recording area is introduced.
- a tab is placed on this stepped recording area.
- the tab consists of a fabric, which is surrounded on both sides with a plastic layer. The tab is then connected in the receiving area to the data side by means of ultrasonic welding.
- a data page is also known in which a tab is assigned to an underside of an individual page, so that a tab section of the tab forms an overlap area with the underside of the individual page.
- This tab section is then connected to one another in the overlap region under pressure and temperature, the tab made of a mesh-like material being pressed into the underside of the individual page.
- the single side and the tab section arranged in the overlap area are positioned between an anvil and a sonotrode in order to create an ultrasonic welded connection.
- the anvil and the sonotrode work against two different materials, so that a specific adjustment of the sonotrode pressure is required for an optimal connection in order to avoid damage due to the opposite movement of the two layers lying on top of each other.
- the invention is based on the object of proposing a data page and a method for producing such a data page, in which the material connection, a mechanical connection or a combination of the material and mechanical connection between the individual page and the at least one tab section of a tab element arranged in the overlap region Formation of the tab is improved.
- a data page in which at least one electrical guide element is provided between the individual page and the at least one tab section of the tab in the overlap area. This enables one Immediate melting or melting of the layers or layers of the tab element and the individual side adjoining each other in the overlap area.
- connection point is preferably formed by welding.
- connection point is produced by a mechanical connection, a form-fitting anchoring and / or a claw is preferably provided.
- the connection point between the individual side and the tab section of the tab element can also be made by a combination of these types of connection.
- a further embodiment of the data page provides at least one electrical conducting element at least on the tab section of the at least one tab element of the tab, which forms an overlap region with the at least one layer of the individual page.
- the at least one electrical guide element is integrated in the tab section or provided or attached to the tab section, which simplifies the handling and production of the data page.
- the at least one electrical guide element extends at least partially, preferably completely, along the overlap area or transversely to the longitudinal extent of the overlap area. This enables a flexible connection of the tab to the individual page.
- the electrical guide element is linear, in particular wire-shaped.
- the diameter or the cross-section of the guide element current can be supplied to different extents and thus the guide element can be heated, so that this enables adaptation to the melting temperature of the material to be melted in the overlap region.
- a preferred embodiment of the linear electrical guide element provides that it is designed as a metal wire, in particular as a stainless steel wire.
- a metal wire in particular as a stainless steel wire.
- possible corrosion is prevented by using a stainless steel wire.
- the at least one electrical guide element is formed from a shape memory alloy, in particular nitrinol.
- the electrical guide element can not only serve to melt the layers to be connected to one another and to produce a material connection or mechanical connection, but can also form an additional security element due to the memory function.
- carbon fibers are used.
- the electrical guide element consists of conductive plastics. The selection of the materials for the electrical guide element can in turn provide a parameter for achieving or setting the heating temperature and thus an adaptation to the melting temperature for the connecting material.
- Different heating zones for melting the individual side or the tab section can thus be achieved, for example, by a plurality of guide elements arranged in the overlap area, which are formed with the same material but different diameters.
- different heating zones can also be achieved by introducing several electrical guide elements made of different materials.
- a combination of different materials with different diameters also enables the design of heating zones.
- a further preferred embodiment of the electrical guide element provides that a plurality of linear electrical guide elements are arranged next to one another, in particular are aligned parallel to one another and extend along the overlap region.
- the arrangement and alignment of these electrical guide elements allow a larger area to be melted within the overlap area.
- the number of electrical guide elements and / or the course or the alignment within the overlap area can provide an additional security feature which is specific to each data page and such an arrangement can be recorded and stored, in particular stored in a transponder module on the individual page.
- the at least one electrical guide element is designed in the form of a grid.
- this electrical guide element can be designed as a fabric or braid.
- a flat melting of the at least one connection point in the overlap area can thereby be achieved.
- the tab section and / or the at least one layer of the individual side at least can partially penetrate into the tissue and connect to it and get caught.
- the selection of the parameters for the guide element described above, such as, for example, the diameter or cross section of the guide element, and also the selection of the material and / or the arrangement of the individual guide elements with respect to one another, in particular in a fabric or braid determine the heating temperature.
- fabrics can be created which achieve greater or lesser heating.
- the fabrics or braids can also be designed in such a way that they form different heating zones within the overlap area due to the differing mesh size.
- a preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the tab is applied on one side to an upper or a lower side of the at least one layer of the individual page.
- the layer or individual page can for example extend continuously from a data area to the overlap area or have a recess or depression in the individual page which at least partially corresponds to the thickness of the tab to be applied.
- the tab to be attached to the individual side is positioned between two layers of the individual page.
- the presence of the at least one electrical guide element between the tab element and an adjoining layer within the depression allows a material connection or mechanical connection mechanical connection of the tab element to the at least one layer in the depression of the individual side to be achieved without influencing an outer cover layer.
- Another preferred embodiment of the data side provides that the electrical guide element is provided with a fusible layer. This makes it possible for this meltable layer to form a type of adhesive connection between the tab section of the tab element and the at least one layer of the individual side in the overlap area.
- a further alternative embodiment of the data page provides that a tab section of the at least one tab element is arranged on an upper side and on a lower side of the individual page and forms an overlap area.
- a tab section of the at least one tab element can thus be assigned to each outside of the individual page to form an overlap area. This has the advantage that a symmetrical connection of the individual side to the tab is made possible.
- the tab consists of two tab elements, so that in each case one tab element engages with a tab section in the overlap area on the individual side.
- the tab consists of a tab element and is turned over on two sides, so that again two tab sections of a tab element engage on the outer sides of the individual side.
- a further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the at least one tab element of the tab is at least partially formed from a thermally fusible plastic or from a textile material which at least partially comprises a plastic polymer or at least one layer or layer of thermoplastic polymer.
- the tab material can be melted at the crosslinking location in order to fuse the adjacent layers together.
- the at least one tab element of the tab is formed from a metal mesh or metal mesh.
- the tab and the electrical guide element consist of one component.
- the connection to the data side is made in such a way that the metal mesh at least partially penetrates the individual page and a mechanical connection is achieved.
- the metal mesh and / or metal mesh can advantageously be provided on one or both sides with a layer of thermally fusible plastic.
- the further alternative embodiment of the at least one tab element of the tab provides that it is formed from a mixed fabric, in which at least individual warp threads are designed as electrical guiding elements, the warp threads extending along the data side and the weft threads extending from the overlap area to those beyond Range.
- the heat input directly at the transition point that is, between the electrical guide element and the adjacent layer, in turn enables the tab to be mechanically connected to the individual side.
- the electrical guide elements can be surrounded by a layer that melts or melts.
- individual warp threads can also be provided that melt or melt.
- a further preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the individual page is at least partially made of polycarbonate or a polycarbonate derivative.
- a data page is preferably referred to as a PC card, that is to say a polycarbonate card, in which the respective outer layers consist of polycarbonate and in between there can be at least one print layer or one printable layer and / or a transponder module with an antenna for storing data.
- Such an individual side can have a completely circumferential and closed edge due to the outer layers of PC, on which a tab portion of the at least one tab element engages and forms an overlap area.
- the object on which the invention is based is further achieved by a method for producing a data page according to one of the above-described embodiments, in which the at least one electrical guide element is arranged in the overlap region between the at least one individual page and the tab section of the at least one tab element, or in which the at least one an electrical guide element provided on the tab portion of the at least one tab element is energized and the tab portion of the tab elements or the individual side or both are melted by the at least one electrical guide element.
- This enables a simple and quick connection, in particular a material connection or a mechanical connection between the tab section of the at least one tab element and the individual side.
- the integral connection or the mechanical connection can be introduced in a targeted manner.
- the further areas of the tab section of the at least one tab element and the individual side can remain unaffected and thus leave no or only slight traces visible from the outside.
- the tab portion of the tab element and the individual side in the overlap region are preferably pressurized to form a material connection or mechanical connection or a combination of the two. This makes it possible for one or both adjacent surfaces to be melted in the overlap region and to be subjected to pressure simultaneously or subsequently, in order to achieve adhesive and / or cohesive adhesion of the adjacent materials or the mechanical connection.
- a preferred embodiment of the method provides that at least one electrical guide element is inserted between a layer of the individual side and the tab section of the tab element, so that connections protruding beyond the overlap area are formed, to which contact elements for energizing the at least one electrical guide element are connected, and that after the at least partial melting of the at least one tab section and / or the at least one layer of the individual side and the connection by means of pressure, the connections projecting beyond the overlap area are separated.
- a further alternative embodiment of the method provides that at least one electrical guide element is provided on or in the at least one tab section of the tab element, which has connections protruding beyond the overlap area, to which contact elements are connected for energizing the at least one electrical guide element and that after the at least partially melting the at least one tab portion of the tab element and / or the at least one layer of the individual side and connecting to the individual side, the connections are separated under pressure.
- This embodiment also enables simple and inexpensive production.
- a further alternative embodiment of the method provides that the at least one electrical guide element in the at least one tab section of the tab has two contact points which are contacted with contact elements in order to energize the at least one electrical guide element. This configuration enables the electrical guide element to be contacted and the pressure to be applied to the overlap area at the same time, and a subsequent disconnection of the connections is no longer necessary.
- each guide element is preferably contacted with contact elements. This enables all the guide elements to be supplied with the same current. It is also possible that these can be supplied with different amounts of current, which means that different heating zones can be achieved. If, for example, a middle zone in the overlap area is heated more than an outer zone of the overlap area, the tab section and / or the individual side in the middle zone can be melted or melted more strongly by a higher melting temperature and thus welded better than this in the outer area Zone is the case, so that the tab material remains mechanically stable in the outer zone. Such a connection not only has the advantage of greater stability, but also makes manipulation more difficult, since the inner zone would show significantly greater damage in the event of a manipulation attempt.
- the at least one electrical guide element is heated to a temperature which is equal to or greater than a melting temperature of the at least one tab section of the tab element or the at least one layer of the individual side or both. In this way, melting of at least one surface can be ensured in order to subsequently enable a mechanical connection of the at least one tab section to the individual side or a material connection of the at least one tab section to the individual side or both.
- a book-like document 11, in particular a security document, is shown in perspective.
- This book-like document 11 is, for example, an identification document, such as a passport.

When connecting the tab to a single side in the overlap area, the single side and the tab section arranged in the overlap area are positioned between an anvil and a sonotrode in order to create an ultrasonic welded connection. The anvil and the sonotrode work against two different materials, so that a specific adjustment of the sonotrode pressure is required for an optimal connection in order to avoid damage due to the opposite movement of the two layers lying on top of each other.
The invention is based on the object of proposing a data page and a method for producing such a data page, in which the material connection, a mechanical connection or a combination of the material and mechanical connection between the individual page and the at least one tab section of a tab element arranged in the overlap region Formation of the tab is improved.
This object is achieved according to the invention by a data page in which at least one electrical guide element is provided between the individual page and the at least one tab section of the tab in the overlap area. This enables one Immediate melting or melting of the layers or layers of the tab element and the individual side adjoining each other in the overlap area.
This makes it possible for current to be supplied to the at least one electrical guide element and thus direct heat input to the crosslinking location or the connection point in order to produce a material connection, a mechanical connection or a combination of the material and mechanical connection between the plate section of the at least one plate element and the individual side he follows. As a result, the individual side or the tab portion of the tab element or both can be melted or melted in order to form the connection point without the opposite movement of the layers of the tab element and the individual side to be joined, which is introduced by a sonotrode. In the case of material connections, the connection point is preferably formed by welding. When the connection point is produced by a mechanical connection, a form-fitting anchoring and / or a claw is preferably provided. The connection point between the individual side and the tab section of the tab element can also be made by a combination of these types of connection.
A further embodiment of the data page provides at least one electrical conducting element at least on the tab section of the at least one tab element of the tab, which forms an overlap region with the at least one layer of the individual page. The at least one electrical guide element is integrated in the tab section or provided or attached to the tab section, which simplifies the handling and production of the data page.
It is preferably provided that the at least one electrical guide element extends at least partially, preferably completely, along the overlap area or transversely to the longitudinal extent of the overlap area. This enables a flexible connection of the tab to the individual page.
According to a preferred embodiment of the data page, it is provided that the electrical guide element is linear, in particular wire-shaped. This represents a simple embodiment by which the thickness of the data page does not need to be increased. Rather, very thin linear guiding elements can be provided and introduced, so that no traces or markings form on the outer sides of the data side or the tab. By selecting the diameter or the cross-section of the guide element, current can be supplied to different extents and thus the guide element can be heated, so that this enables adaptation to the melting temperature of the material to be melted in the overlap region.
A preferred embodiment of the linear electrical guide element provides that it is designed as a metal wire, in particular as a stainless steel wire. For example, wire diameters in a range of less than 50 μm, in particular with a diameter of 15 to 40 μm, can be provided. In addition, possible corrosion is prevented by using a stainless steel wire.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the at least one electrical guide element is formed from a shape memory alloy, in particular nitrinol. As a result, the electrical guide element can not only serve to melt the layers to be connected to one another and to produce a material connection or mechanical connection, but can also form an additional security element due to the memory function. Alternatively, it can be provided that carbon fibers are used. There is also the possibility that the electrical guide element consists of conductive plastics. The selection of the materials for the electrical guide element can in turn provide a parameter for achieving or setting the heating temperature and thus an adaptation to the melting temperature for the connecting material.
Different heating zones for melting the individual side or the tab section can thus be achieved, for example, by a plurality of guide elements arranged in the overlap area, which are formed with the same material but different diameters. Alternatively, different heating zones can also be achieved by introducing several electrical guide elements made of different materials. A combination of different materials with different diameters also enables the design of heating zones.
A further preferred embodiment of the electrical guide element provides that a plurality of linear electrical guide elements are arranged next to one another, in particular are aligned parallel to one another and extend along the overlap region. The arrangement and alignment of these electrical guide elements allow a larger area to be melted within the overlap area. In addition, it is possible that with a plurality of guide elements arranged close to one another or lying close to one another, greater heating can be generated in the overlap area than is the case with a larger spacing. In addition, the number of electrical guide elements and / or the course or the alignment within the overlap area can provide an additional security feature which is specific to each data page and such an arrangement can be recorded and stored, in particular stored in a transponder module on the individual page.
Furthermore, it can alternatively be provided that the at least one electrical guide element is designed in the form of a grid. In particular, this electrical guide element can be designed as a fabric or braid. A flat melting of the at least one connection point in the overlap area can thereby be achieved. In addition, it is possible that the tab section and / or the at least one layer of the individual side at least can partially penetrate into the tissue and connect to it and get caught. The selection of the parameters for the guide element described above, such as, for example, the diameter or cross section of the guide element, and also the selection of the material and / or the arrangement of the individual guide elements with respect to one another, in particular in a fabric or braid, determine the heating temperature. Thus, for example, fabrics can be created which achieve greater or lesser heating. However, the fabrics or braids can also be designed in such a way that they form different heating zones within the overlap area due to the differing mesh size.
A preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the tab is applied on one side to an upper or a lower side of the at least one layer of the individual page. In this case, the layer or individual page can for example extend continuously from a data area to the overlap area or have a recess or depression in the individual page which at least partially corresponds to the thickness of the tab to be applied.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the tab to be attached to the individual side is positioned between two layers of the individual page. The presence of the at least one electrical guide element between the tab element and an adjoining layer within the depression allows a material connection or mechanical connection mechanical connection of the tab element to the at least one layer in the depression of the individual side to be achieved without influencing an outer cover layer.
Another preferred embodiment of the data side provides that the electrical guide element is provided with a fusible layer. This makes it possible for this meltable layer to form a type of adhesive connection between the tab section of the tab element and the at least one layer of the individual side in the overlap area.
A further alternative embodiment of the data page provides that a tab section of the at least one tab element is arranged on an upper side and on a lower side of the individual page and forms an overlap area. In this embodiment, a tab section of the at least one tab element can thus be assigned to each outside of the individual page to form an overlap area. This has the advantage that a symmetrical connection of the individual side to the tab is made possible.
It is preferably provided that the tab consists of two tab elements, so that in each case one tab element engages with a tab section in the overlap area on the individual side. Alternatively, it can be provided that the tab consists of a tab element and is turned over on two sides, so that again two tab sections of a tab element engage on the outer sides of the individual side.
A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the at least one tab element of the tab is at least partially formed from a thermally fusible plastic or from a textile material which at least partially comprises a plastic polymer or at least one layer or layer of thermoplastic polymer. As a result of the direct heat input by means of the electrical guide element, the tab material can be melted at the crosslinking location in order to fuse the adjacent layers together.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the at least one tab element of the tab is formed from a metal mesh or metal mesh. As a result, the tab and the electrical guide element consist of one component. The connection to the data side is made in such a way that the metal mesh at least partially penetrates the individual page and a mechanical connection is achieved. The metal mesh and / or metal mesh can advantageously be provided on one or both sides with a layer of thermally fusible plastic.
The further alternative embodiment of the at least one tab element of the tab provides that it is formed from a mixed fabric, in which at least individual warp threads are designed as electrical guiding elements, the warp threads extending along the data side and the weft threads extending from the overlap area to those beyond Range. As a result, the heat input directly at the transition point, that is, between the electrical guide element and the adjacent layer, in turn enables the tab to be mechanically connected to the individual side. In addition, the electrical guide elements can be surrounded by a layer that melts or melts. Alternatively or additionally, individual warp threads can also be provided that melt or melt.
A further preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the individual page is at least partially made of polycarbonate or a polycarbonate derivative. Such a data page is preferably referred to as a PC card, that is to say a polycarbonate card, in which the respective outer layers consist of polycarbonate and in between there can be at least one print layer or one printable layer and / or a transponder module with an antenna for storing data. Such an individual side can have a completely circumferential and closed edge due to the outer layers of PC, on which a tab portion of the at least one tab element engages and forms an overlap area.
The object on which the invention is based is further achieved by a method for producing a data page according to one of the above-described embodiments, in which the at least one electrical guide element is arranged in the overlap region between the at least one individual page and the tab section of the at least one tab element, or in which the at least one an electrical guide element provided on the tab portion of the at least one tab element is energized and the tab portion of the tab elements or the individual side or both are melted by the at least one electrical guide element. This enables a simple and quick connection, in particular a material connection or a mechanical connection between the tab section of the at least one tab element and the individual side.
The integral connection or the mechanical connection can be introduced in a targeted manner. As a result of the direct heat input at the crosslinking location, the further areas of the tab section of the at least one tab element and the individual side can remain unaffected and thus leave no or only slight traces visible from the outside.
The tab portion of the tab element and the individual side in the overlap region are preferably pressurized to form a material connection or mechanical connection or a combination of the two. This makes it possible for one or both adjacent surfaces to be melted in the overlap region and to be subjected to pressure simultaneously or subsequently, in order to achieve adhesive and / or cohesive adhesion of the adjacent materials or the mechanical connection.
A preferred embodiment of the method provides that at least one electrical guide element is inserted between a layer of the individual side and the tab section of the tab element, so that connections protruding beyond the overlap area are formed, to which contact elements for energizing the at least one electrical guide element are connected, and that after the at least partial melting of the at least one tab section and / or the at least one layer of the individual side and the connection by means of pressure, the connections projecting beyond the overlap area are separated. This makes simple contacting and energization of the at least one electrical guide element enables. Subsequent manipulation can be prevented by disconnecting the electrical connections.
A further alternative embodiment of the method provides that at least one electrical guide element is provided on or in the at least one tab section of the tab element, which has connections protruding beyond the overlap area, to which contact elements are connected for energizing the at least one electrical guide element and that after the at least partially melting the at least one tab portion of the tab element and / or the at least one layer of the individual side and connecting to the individual side, the connections are separated under pressure. This embodiment also enables simple and inexpensive production.
A further alternative embodiment of the method provides that the at least one electrical guide element in the at least one tab section of the tab has two contact points which are contacted with contact elements in order to energize the at least one electrical guide element. This configuration enables the electrical guide element to be contacted and the pressure to be applied to the overlap area at the same time, and a subsequent disconnection of the connections is no longer necessary.
If several electrical guide elements are provided in an overlap area, each guide element is preferably contacted with contact elements.
Another preferred embodiment of the method provides that the at least one electrical guide element is heated to a temperature which is equal to or greater than a melting temperature of the at least one tab section of the tab element or the at least one layer of the individual side or both. In this way, melting of at least one surface can be ensured in order to subsequently enable a mechanical connection of the at least one tab section to the individual side or a material connection of the at least one tab section to the individual side or both.

In the exemplary embodiment, the

To connect the

In the embodiment described above, the at least one

As an alternative to the embodiment described above, the
The
