Description

The invention relates to a data page, in particular Personalisierdatenseite, for a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document, and a method for producing such a data page. Furthermore, the invention relates to a book block and a method for producing a book block as well as a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document.

Such security documents may in particular be passport documents which are typically in booklet or book form and in which an information page storing information is connected to the passport document. This data page is for example a passport card or passport, which is integrated in the passport document. This passport card contains personalized data or other data, such as information about the issuing authority. The passport card must be connected to the other pages of the passbook in such a way that a third party can not remove the passport card from the document in order to falsify or falsify the passport document. In addition, it is necessary that an embedding behavior of the passport document is improved by the inclusion of this passport card or the data carrier of the data page by means of a tab.

From the WO2007 / 054618 a security document is designed as a data page with a tab in which the tab is made of a textile material. This tab is arranged overlapping with the data carrier and welded together in the then formed overlap region, the tab at least partially penetrates into the disk.

From the DE 10 2012 213 913 A1 a method for producing such an overlap region on a data carrier with a tab made of a textile material is described in more detail.

Furthermore, from the EP 1 502 765 A1 discloses a data page, in which a fabric made of a textile tab extends into a disk into and is surrounded and connected to an outer side with a further layer. This tab thus forms an overlap area between two outer layers of the data carrier. Also in this case, the outer layer of the data carrier flows at least partially into the existing of textile material tab and fills them partially or completely. This allows a secure connection of the tab to the disk. However, this requires that a sufficiently open structure or weave of the textile material be used for the tab. For example, the textile material is produced by a fabric based on monofilaments.

Such fabrics, especially with open structures, have the disadvantage that they easily fray because of the loose binding of the individual threads. As a result, a manipulation can be made possible to separate the tab from the seam and then bring it back in again.

The invention has for its object to provide a data page with a tab and a method for their preparation, a book block and method for producing such a book block and a book-like document with such a book block to frazzle of the textile materials of the tab on at least one from an overlap area with the disk protruding edge of the tab to avoid.

The object underlying the invention is achieved by a data page, in which a data carrier opposite and emerging from the overlap region area of the tab turned over and a seam is formed. This has the advantage that a free longitudinal edge of the tab, which is opposite to the overlap region, does not comprise open or cut ends of filaments or the like of the textile strip material for the tab, but rather this longitudinal edge is folded like a hem.

Furthermore, the seam preferably comprises a folded tab edge, which preferably extends along the length of the tab in the data carrier. This folded tab edge protrudes freely from the seam area and faces the data carrier. The fact that the opposite of the seam protruding tab ends with a folded tab edge, the tab is protected against splitting.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that an impact, which adjoins the folded tab edge, abuts at least in sections, at least in sections, with a tab section formed between the folded tab edge and the overlap region and / or is firmly connected at least in certain sections with this tab section. This keeps the seam in a book block or book-style document until it integrates the data page. At the same time thereby bulging the tab adjacent to the tab edge is reduced.

Furthermore, at least one welding point, one adhesive point, one stitching point and / or at least some sections of a seam are preferably formed between the impact and the adjacent tab section. This makes it possible in a simple manner to fix the impact and to maintain the formation of the seam.

Furthermore, the impact or the free flap edge of the impact, starting from the folded flap edge, extends beyond a seam region of the flap in the direction of the overlapping region. This ensures that when sewing the data page into a book block or a book-like document, the seam to be formed extends through the seam of the tab, so that this impact is in turn secured to the adjacent tab portion of the tab. Furthermore, the free tab edge of the impact can extend as far as the data carrier, so that the free tab edge rests flush against a longitudinal edge of the data carrier. Furthermore, alternatively, the free tab edge of the impact cover at least the longitudinal edge of the data carrier, whereby a further overlap area is formed.

A further preferred embodiment of the data page provides that the tab has a perforation, in particular a line-shaped or punctiform perforation, along and at a distance from the free tab edges. By introducing such a perforation can be very easily and without additional aids to turn the flap to form the seam. As a result, the course of the folded flap edge can be predetermined. In addition, the introduction of this perforation has the advantage that a reduced bulging of the bent edge or folded tab edge is given.

Furthermore, a seam is preferably formed on a lower edge and / or upper edge of the flap. Thereby, the respective opposite end faces, which are spaced by a longitudinal edge of the tab, also complete with a hem, so that even this relatively narrow portion of the tab is protected in relation to the longitudinal edge of the tab against fraying. It is preferably provided that initially formed the hem at the top and bottom and then the hem along the longitudinal edge of the tab is made.

Furthermore, an upper edge and / or a lower edge of the tab may preferably be sealed, welded and / or glued to one another in an area of the tab protruding from the overlap area after the flap has been folded over. Thereby, the region of the impact, which is positioned adjacent to the tab portion and associated with the top and bottom edges, firmly connected to each other, at the same time prevented by the sealing and welding and / or gluing and fraying along the top and / or bottom edge of the tab is.

Furthermore, preferably, an upper edge and / or a lower edge in a region outside the overlapping region and / or the free longitudinal edge of the flap can be welded, glued and / or sealed. This additionally prevents fraying of the edges of the tab.

The textile strip material for the flap may preferably be a fabric, Knitted fabric, knitted fabric, fleece or a felt be.

The object on which the invention is based is furthermore achieved by a method for producing a data page, in particular a personalization data page for a book-type document, in which a data carrier and a tab made of a textile strip material are joined together to form an overlapping area, one opposite the overlapping area emergent area of the tab, which is bounded by a free flap edge, turned over and a seam is formed with at least one impact. As a result, fraying is prevented at least along the longitudinal edge of the tab, which protrudes from the seam area after sewing together with further insides.

Preferably, the free flap edge is folded over or the width of the impact is designed such that the free flap edge is positioned at least between a seam region and a longitudinal side of the data carrier. Furthermore, the free tab edge can be positioned in abutment with the longitudinal side of the data carrier or even cover the longitudinal side of the data carrier, so that a further overlap region is formed.

A further preferred embodiment for producing the data page provides that the seam is adjusted in height by several impacts to the thickness of the data carrier. For example, a double or triple impact can be provided, whereby a tab portion of the tab is thickened in the seam area, so that after sewing such a hem of this with the adjacent disk forms a common plane, whereby an edge is prevented, which is a damage to the adjacent Inside can cause.

Furthermore, after the flap has been turned over to form a seam, the at least one weft is preferably at least prefixed to the adjacent flap section. As a result, the data page can be fed to a seam provided on the tab for further process steps. At least a pre-fixing by at least one spot weld, stapling point, adhesive point and / or be formed at least a partially introduced seam.

The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a book block for a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document, comprising a plurality of inner sides arranged in a stack and a tab which are connected to one another by a seam, wherein the tab is formed by at least one impact a seam and a tab portion of the tab and the adjacent thereto arranged impact are connected together with the insides through the seam. Characterized a tab is provided on the stack inside, one end portion of which extends along the longitudinal sides, is formed by the seam, so that fraying is prevented in this area. The opposite region of the tab serves to connect a data carrier to form an overlap region, in which this tab section can be connected to the data carrier by lamination and / or welding.

Furthermore, a data carrier is connected to a region of the tab opposite the seam and the seam. Thus, a book block may be provided that is already personalized with the data page.

Furthermore, the tab is so connected to the merged into a stack insides that the impact points to the inside.

In this case, furthermore, the data carrier with the tab section protruding with respect to the seam region for forming the overlapping region with the data carrier receives the data carrier in such a way that it likewise lies between the tab section and the inside. As a result, the thickness of the data carrier and the seam in or near the seam area can be better compensated.

The object on which the invention is based is furthermore achieved by a method for producing a book block for a book-type document, in particular a security document, in which a plurality of inner pages are combined to form a stack and one data page one of the above-described embodiments is supplied to the stack and the inner sides and the seam are connected to the tab of the data side by a common seam. This allows a simple production, by which simultaneously with the introduction of the seam, which is introduced for the connection of the inside with the data side, the seam is secured. As a result, a fixation of the impact after formation of the seam to the adjacent tab portion of the tab before positioning the data page to the insides can be dispensed with. In this method for producing the book block, a data page can be provided in which the tab already comprises a seam, so that these data pages are like the insides only brought together in a stack and then sewn. Alternatively, in a method step immediately before feeding the data page to the inner sides, first an envelope of the tab is produced by, for example, deflection rollers or a deflection plate, and the data side with the deflected tab is fed to the inner sides in a subsequent working step.

The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a method for producing a book block for a book-like document, in particular value and / or security document, in which a seam region of the insides, a tab made of textile tape material is supplied, wherein before positioning the tab in the seam area to the insides, the flap is turned over and a seam is formed and the hem of the flap and the insides are joined together with at least one seam. As a result, a book block is provided with a tab which subsequently or decentrally permits a connection of the data carrier to the tab for personalization of the book block or book-type document.

Preferably, the data carrier at one end of the tab is firmly connected, which is opposite to the seam and the hem. Such binding of the data side to the tab to form an overlap region can be done by welding or gluing. Also, the attachment of a closure in the form of, for example, a closure strip or the like may be possible.

The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a method for producing a book-like document, in particular security document, in which a book block according to one of the previous embodiments is supplied to a book cover and the book block is connected to the book cover.

In FIG. 1 is a book-like document 11, in particular value and / or security document, shown in perspective. This book-type document 11 is, for example, an identification document such as a passport. The document 11 comprises, for example, a book cover 12. An intent 14, which is fastened to the book cover 12, may be provided on an inner side of the book cover 12. Via a seam 16, a data page 17 and one or more inner sides 18 are connected together to form a book block 15. If a book cover 12 and in particular the attachment 14th are provided, at least this attachment 14 is also connected to the seam 16 to the book block 15. The insides 18 of the book-like document 11 are used to hold visas, stamps or other entries. The data page 17 consists of a data carrier 20 and a tab 23 attached thereto. The data page 17, in particular the data carrier 20, can be designed, for example, according to the ICAO standard and an image 19 of the document owner, an OCR-readable ICAO zone 21 and others Personalization data 22 include. The Personalisierdaten 22 are provided within the data carrier 20. The tab 23 of the data carrier 20 extends over the seam 16 across. This tab 23 also includes a seam area in which the seam 16 is formed.

In FIG. 2 schematically a side view of the data page 17 is shown. The data carrier 20 may comprise, for example, a transponder module 24, which consists of an IC chip 25 and an antenna 26. In addition or alternatively, further electronic and / or other security elements, in particular diffractive security elements, can be applied and / or applied.

The tab 23 is connected to the data carrier 20 to form an overlap region 30. The tab 23 consists of a textile strip material, which is preferably connected by welding to an outermost layer or layer of the data carrier 20. With regard to the connection of the tab 23 of the textile tape-shaped material for the tab 23 and the data carrier 20 and the structure of the data carrier 20 is fully on the DE 10 2012 213 913 A1 Referenced.

The tab 23 has a portion 31 projecting beyond a longitudinal edge 32 of the data carrier 20. Within this protruding region 31, the connection of the data page 17 to the insides 18 for a book block 15 follows. In this protruding region 31, the seam 16 can also be introduced.

The data page 17 has an upper and lower end edge 34, 35. The tab 23 has an upper edge and lower edge or upper and lower end face 36, 37, which can be set back relative to the end edges 34, 35 inwardly or flush with the end edges 34, 35 can then pass.

In FIG. 3 is a schematic sectional view taken along the line II-II in FIG. 2 shown. From this sectional view, a first embodiment for connecting the tab 23 to the data page 17 shows. The data page 17 consists of at least one first and one second layer 38, 39, which may also be referred to as the front and back pages 38, 39. An outer cover layer 41, 42 is preferably applied to the layer 38, 39. Between the layers 38, 39, for example, the transponder module 24 may be provided.

The tab 23 forms with an outer layer 41, 42 an overlap region 30 and is at least connected thereto, in particular welded. In this case, the connection of the tab 23 can be made both to the layer 41 or the layer 42.

An alternative and unspecified embodiment provides that the tab 23 is provided, for example, between the first and second layers 38, 39 and is sandwiched therebetween and forms an overlap region 30.

Starting from the folded tab edge 44, a free end region of the tab 23 extends as an impact 46 in the direction of the data page 17. This impact 46 ends with a free tab edge 49 of the tab 23rd This impact 46 covers a tab portion 47 and lies at least in sections on the tab portion 47 on or on. Depending on the inherent rigidity of the tab 23, the impact 46 may rest on the tab portion 47 after folding or folding. In a used band-shaped material for the tab 23 with a higher intrinsic stiffness and / or to maintain this in FIG. 3 illustrated arrangement of the seam be provided that along the seam 45 one or more welds, adhesive dots, individual Stapling points and / or seams are introduced to maintain the formation of the seam 45.

If the tab 23 is attached to an outer layer 41 of the data carrier 20, the flap 23 is folded over in the direction of the opposite outer layer 42 so that the thickening of the tab acting through the seam lies within the thickness or height of the data carrier.

The tab 23 has a so far outstanding in area 31 area, so that in the tab 23 after folding and the formation of the seam 45, the seam 16 can still be introduced. This is schematically in FIG. 3 shown. The impact 46 of the tab 23 extends with respect to its free end so far in the direction of the data carrier 20 or overlap region 30, that it lies between the longitudinal edge 32 of the data carrier 20 and the seam 16 to be introduced.

Furthermore, the upper edge and lower edge 36, 37 of the flap 23 can be machined after formation of the seam 45 such that these end edges are welded to avoid further fraying. This can be done before or after folding the flap 23. If the welding of the upper and / or lower edge takes place after the flap 23 has been folded over, the mutually opposite adjacent edges can be welded together. This reduces bulging.

Furthermore, according to FIG. 4 prior to the formation of a folded tab edge 44, a portion of the tab which adjoins the top edge 36 and / or bottom edge 37 in the longitudinal direction of the suture is hammered or folded so as to also be in the seam 48, 59 at the top edge 36 and / or bottom edge 37, respectively form a folded tab edge 44. Subsequently, the formation of the hem 45, as shown in FIG. 3 is shown done.

In FIG. 5 a schematic view of a modified embodiment of the tab 23 is shown. This tab 23 has along the seam preferably parallel to the seam to be introduced or free tab edges 44 a perforation 51 on. This perforation 51 is formed by small punctiform or linear punched out. This perforation 51 makes it easier to fold over an outer region of the tab 23 to form the folded flap edge 44. In addition, bulging of the flap 46 relative to the flap section 47 can be reduced to a minimum.

As textile materials for the flap 23, preferably fusible textile materials are used, which are preferably formed completely or partially of plastic (polymer), in particular of thermoplastic material. In this case, preference is given to using a thermoplastic, a polyester, for example polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The textile material may preferably be formed at least partially from polyester. The melting point or glass transition temperature of the fusible material is preferably matched to the material properties of the data carrier. The melting and / or glass transition temperature of the tab and the data carrier are preferably similar in size (for example, within a temperature range of 50 ° C), so that the welding process is error-free and easy to carry out. In addition, the textile material may be partially made of cotton. For example, a cotton-polymer blend, especially a cotton-polyester blend, can be used. Furthermore, the tab can be formed of at least two different materials (blended fabric), one of which melts when welding the tab to the disk and the other material does not connect to the disk during the welding process.

The data carrier 20 may preferably be formed from one or more layers and may use the one or more layers of one or more plastic materials to form a data carrier or a data carrier in the laminate composite. As a result, in particular a good bonding of the textile strip material to the formation be made possible on the disk 20. For example, a welding can take place, whereby at least a clawing of the textile strip material with the data carrier 20 is made possible. The data carrier is preferably formed from a polycarbonate or from a polycarbonate derivative. Furthermore, to form the data carrier 20 further plastics may be provided, in particular bisphenol A polycarbonate, carboxy-modified PC, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), its derivatives, such as glycol-modified PET (PETG), carboxy-modified PET, polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinyl butyral (PVB), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyimide (PI), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polystyrene (PS), polyvinylphenol (PVP), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) , in particular thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) and / or derivatives thereof or of paper and / or cardboard or of mixtures of the abovementioned materials. The material for the data carrier 20 is preferably formed at least partially from polycarbonate or from a polycarbonate derivative.

In FIG. 6 is a schematic side view of the book-like document 11 according to FIG. 1 shown. This book-like document 11 comprises a book block 15, in which the data page 17 according to the in FIG. 3 illustrated embodiment with inner sides 18 are sewn to a book block 15, which is subsequently connected to the book cover 12.

Bezugszeichenliste 11. Buchartiges Dokument 32. Schweißpunkte To form the book block 15, the data page 17 is positioned with the inner sides 18 prior to sewing such that a formed on the tab 23 seam 45 is provided with the impact 46 to the inside 18 facing. The overlap region 30 from the data carrier 20 faces away from the insides. Thus, at least a slight thickness compensation with respect to the data carrier, which extends from the overlap region in the direction of the inner side 18, can take place through the seam. This arrangement also has the advantage that the free tab edges 49 can be enclosed near the seam area and, as it were, between the data carrier 20 and an inner side 18. Thus Fraying is largely prevented, provided that this free longitudinal tab edge is not welded and / or sealed. <B> LIST OF REFERENCES </ b> 11. Book-like document 32. long side of 17 12.
