From WO 2006/079224 A1 a passport book with an insert sheet is known. Such an insert sheet consists of two flexible plastic layers, between which a tab is inserted. The invention has for its object to propose an insert sheet which can be connected without sewing with a book block and / or a book-like document and can be produced in a simple manner. The open-edged recesses are preferably introduced after completion of the data page. The closure element 47 advantageously extends over the entire length of the longitudinal edge 29 of the insert sheet 15.
